Tahi-shei watched Madhukar, and his ears twitched up. Normal fungus fed off of nutrients in the substrate, but his fed off of magic. Maybe it could feed off of Madhukar's magic, too? Apparently she'd gotten the same idea, because she looked like she was trying to cast magic underneath her, as evidenced by the crackling energy fizzing all around her. He focused on drawing up more mushrooms, focusing especially on white ones this time (he was getting pretty hungry).

Frail blooms inched up underneath her, and he sighed as he watched them form around her paws like they did his hooves. "Well, that didn't work. But maybe because I've probably been using my magic too much today. The more I use it, the less effective it gets." He lowered himself to Madhukar's height again, tucking his legs underneath himself. "It's been really fun hanging out with you, though."

MAGICKA LEVEL 96%
RESTORED TO 100%

Mushrooms sprung up around her paws this time. Hurray! Had she helped with that? She supposed there was no real way of knowing; too many variables and all that. Tahi declared that they might've been doing this for too long. Madhukar wasn't gonna argue with that; now that all the adrenaline of getting it right for once was simmering down a little, she was beginning to notice how tired she felt. Even one-on-one interactions could get draining for her after a while.

'Hanging out'. Was that what this was? Were they... friends now? Or something? Madhukar didn't really know or understand. She definitely didn't hate or feel negatively towards Tahi. Heck, she even wanted to help the deer out. That was alright, she supposed. Tahi was goopy, but a good goopy. Didn't make her feel nearly as weird as the wiggler or Sniffles did. Didn't make her feel... conflicted. Those other two, they'd hurt her when she was too weak to fight back, and she still hadn't gotten any form of revenge. And the strange thing was that she didn't even want to exact revenge on, well, either one really. She didn't quite like that.

But Tahi had just been nice.

There was no grudge to hold. No usurping of control from her. If anything, Tahi had helped her get more control. More power. She liked that.

She nodded in understanding towards Tahi's suggestion that they'd been at this for a while. "Yo too," she offered back to Tahi's 'ending', in a simple tone that was almost awkward. She didn't really know what to say or do now. Go do something else, she supposed. Go back to what she'd been doing before.

All this time spent getting to practice magic with a creature she'd never met before, all of it having little to do with the plan she'd originally set off on. And yet none of that time felt like a waste. "Thank." That was all she felt there was left to say, before turning towards the next destination and...

...moseying, she supposed.

- exit at last! :3 -

Tahi almost touched his nose to her fur before she left, but decided against it -- Madhukar had just been carrying electricity in her fur, and he didn't know how long it took to dissipate (and he certainly didn't want to get shocked). He smiled faintly as she went, feeling a little emotionally drained himself -- two introverts didn't always make a great combo. "Bye Madhukar!" he said warmly, before getting up and starting to head back to his den.

He'd started out the day meditating on his magic, and in the end, had learned much more about it. He had much to think about, and much to discuss... and certainly, one day, he'd need to see Madhukar again.
