At first, there was nothing. Nothing in the trench but darkness. Stasis. Perhaps the whisper of a dream. The promise of life. Something as black and violent and victorious as He. Yes... a male existence... something that was. Something that is. Something once something else--a spire spider trapped in once-living lifeblood of a tree, called sap, now called amber.

Someone amazing.

He was awoken, quite rudely He might add, by prolific cracking surrounding Him. Captured, was He? Who would dare? He let His anger boil up until it burst. Shards of golden sun exploded out around Him. No cage could contain Him! He was--

What was He?

The hatchling still stood with His four wings still outstretched from His glorious birth. He folded them against His body to beginning observing His surroundings. His maw wrinkled. The lack of visual input was not strange to Him. It was a sense He neither knew nor had, so it meant nothing. Nose groped greedily at every smell. It lapped at the ground until bumping against something huge. Much larger than Him. His third arms, the wingless ones, hooked themselves around it, feeling its length. A smooth, tall, bough-like structure. The dragonling decided to... lick it. To His surprise, a serpent shot out of his mouth, or what He thought was one. The whip-like muscle wouldn't bend to His will. It stuck to the thing in front of Him. It felt... hollow, yet strong. Old.

It was bone.

How interesting. He retracted his long tongue and decided to move forward. Only to have His beautiful nose bump in to yet another large bough. It was the same thing. Had to be. So He went into another direction, side-stepping another similar bone, and another, and another one. Like a ribcage. The ground underfoot was soft, mossy, grassy. He wasn't inside something bigger than He, no... not something living anyway. This was undoubtedly a skeleton. At least in part. And He hatched betwix the barren bones. The young bat could only come to one explanation.

This was His (former) skeleton!!

They tried to vanquish Him! HA! Someone as large as He had been? He could disregard the apparent defeat. After all, they failed. Whomever "they" were. Like a phoenix, He rose again anew! No. Not a phoenix.

A GOD.

She was so. Exceptionally done. With her expedition.

Everything in Madhukar's body felt achey and hurty, even her mind. How was that even possible?! She was not ready, not ready at ALL, for more. The little kitten had come running, quick as a bolt stooped in a pot of languor, back to the bug place. It had felt more like crawling than running to get here, but as soon as she saw the green at the end of the tunnel, Madhukar used her reserved strength to come busting through.

She had taken plenty of breaks in getting here! And it had taken a while! TOO LONG! She wished she could've gotten here sooner!! But now she was here, at LAST, and so, so ready to...

To...

What was that sound?!

The kitten hurried to investigate. She did NOT want any unfriendly noises coming from this beautiful haven of peace. If something was bugging it, she'd show it-- OH, she'd SHOW IT how bad of an idea that was.

Instead of some beastly fiend snapping some innocent plants or terrorizing precious bugs, all the kitten found was some weirdo licking a giant skeleton.

Okay...

If she turned away now, perhaps it wouldn't notice her.... gosh Madhukar did not want to get caught up in that.

But to her utter chagrin, she had done the oldest stealth-demolishing trick in the book:

Stepping on a twig? No. Causing a giant BOOM of thunder up above their heads, one that might echo for quite a ways throughout this tiny verdant room.

Oh nooooo...

There was nothing He lacked... except for sight. A useless sense that only served to make His other senses stronger. So it wasn't a flaw. He was flawless. He smelled another as they approached. He couldn't tell if there was humidity that helped or hindered the scent. In truth, He was going to ignore it. They were unimportant. Flawed. Uninteresting.

Then it did something He couldn't ignore. Though He didn't know it was them. Not at first. Then it only seemed to make sense in His perfect mind as he pieced things together. First He awakes, clearly in the wake of a previous death. Then, He smells someone coming close. They are in a forest, with no one else around that He had yet sensed. He decided it wasn't that humid in here, and there was no rain. If He had known this was a cave, that would be another strike against the intruder. Was it an attempt to startle Him? Another pitiful attempt on His very life?? Where, then, was the lightning to their thunder? He didn't feel it's heat, it's power. He wanted it. Why did this creature have this ability and not Him?

Then it would feel the power of a God.

As if a match was ignited within, fire erupted inside the dragonling. It did little to quell the ringing in His ears that this peasant caused. He was a raging volcano, ready to blow. The pressure built until it exploded from His empty eye sockets, creating small, but powerful, jets of flame where a gaze might have been. Strange. He expected to expel it from His mouth like a dragon. No matter. He had other things to shoot from there.

"Yo!" Cried the godling, spreading all four wings and standing tall. As a babe, He stood only about a foot in height and maybe about twice as much in wing-span. He didn't know their size difference, but it didn't matter. "Damn near shatterin' my eardrums here, peasant. Though' that would kill me? Betta hustle baby. Say you apologies. You in the presence of greatness!"

How in the hell did a child learn such mannerisms?

MOST UNFORTUNATELY FOR HER, it seemed this oddball creature she'd run into by pure mistake was... yet another fool. She did not like its words, or that it called her a "peasant". Or that it seemed to despise an apology. No-- maybe more than ONE?!

Aha. No.

She stared at the little thing, taller than her, bigger too-- but truly, when had size difference ever mattered to this kitten? She glared, like she was trying to blow him up with her mind. And in a way, she was. She readied her mouth for what she expected to be her dynamite.

Except it super, incredibly did NOT work. The charge hit the bile, and the bile went up, and she THOUGHT it'd be fine but then hit the wall of her mouth. And yes, yes she was indeed electrocuted by it. This wouldn't be the first time. But it would be a heck of a lot worse than the last one.

The electricity raced through her, malice and spite from her own soul striking her back with harsh and taunting ruthlessness. For a moment, she couldn't move, and her mouth felt weird and and her ability to control anything was kind of... glitching-- spazzing, jolting, backfiring. And something tingled and EVERYTHING kind of tingled but she wasn't sure why or what but it was uncomfortable.

MAYBE SHE WASN'T GOING TO TRY THAT SPELL FOR A WHILE.

But that was a subconscious agreement with herself; what was more pressing to her CONSCIOUS brain was, after the shock had passed, where she was going. And why she was screaming-- yes, that was her voice, and something in her mouth FELT WEIRD. And she was going somewhere, but where, where, WHERE?!

She hit a tree.

Seemed the circuit had broken. Lights out, baby.

@Ahmon-Ra ((haha my plan failed, Madhukar is unconscious now :3))
