The Core — Tunnel A

Tunnel A is a short and seemingly safe tunnel that connects the core to Gemini. It has mirror-like walls of crystal and is otherwise empty, but feels like it stretches on for miles due to the expanding images when looking through the mirror crystals, which seem to span their reflections infinitely. Wooden planks line the floor, a way to guide those passing through the seemingly endless reflections.
LOCATIONS

Polaris Entrance
Quartz and Spire-like crystals line the entrance to Polaris, an inviting glow beckoning visitors to the Core.
Gemini Entrance
The mirror-like crystals form large rectangles here, as if they are each sides to a door long thrown open.

The crystals lining the wall of the tunnel, reflected the image of a Chysalis, and the creature inside that was emerging for the first time. The outside of the shell was bright red and black in colouration, flecks of gemshards broke off when a small crack formed from the inside out. Followed by more cracks forming, growing larger, and branching of, gemshards laked off as the creature within struggled and wiggled around to break through.

Eventually, The creature within the Chysalis manged to push a paw through a weakend area. A feline paw emerged, fur wet in chysalis yoak, sharp claws extended to scratch the outside of the shell. The paw retreated back inside and a single red eye stared out. A maw poked out, lips pulled back to show sharp little teeth by squeezing her mouth through the opening, gemshards crumbling off.

The Chrysalis cracked and crumbled as the feline moved around, until she managed to squeeze her head out through the crack. Chunks of the shell broke off, and the feline squeezed her shoulders out. The shell crumbling more until she landed onto the ground with a thud, the Chrysalis shattering behind her.
