Saran'zol, the Unbound Champion
Now that the Olympics are reaching their conclusion, it's time to detail the upcoming battle against Saran'zol. This will be a raid boss encounter - each participating gembound will have a health bar of 20 HP each. Once their health reaches 0 they will be knocked into their chrysalis and removed from the fight. A gembound that chrysalizes during this fight will receive a
guaranteed modified chrysalis consequence. It will be randomly rolled from the list bellow:
Rupture - The same as the default consequence, but you can choose where it manifests
Adjunct - Gembound will grow a single usable arm on the left side of their body. It will be slightly smaller but otherwise similar to their existing limbs.
Oculi - Gembound will receive an extra set of eyes in a radial position beneath their existing eyes.
Glitch - Gembound will display either glowing red cracks or patches of steel gray coloration
Wither - Instead of feeling fatigued, the gembound will feel overloaded and energetic at times. Harmless red sparks may jump from the gemstone.
Fissure - The same as the default consequence, but you can choose where it manifests
Stray - Gembound will experience moments of intensified and reddened vision and will be haunted by strange red and black dreams. Their voice may take on a strange, charged, crackling tenor at times.
Manifest (unique consequence) - Gembound will grow black and red spikes in random places over their body (at points that do not hinder movement)
At the end of the fight, any character still standing will receive an additional ʡ100 and the
Secret Handshake technique. Roll totals will be calculated and the top 3 characters that did the most in the fight (highest rolls + hardest hitting) will receive extra IC rewards.
Each round will be 3 days, with grace given for real life concerns. While characters will not be able to double post to catch up if they miss a round, they will not be overtly punished and will simply miss out on a round.
