So the gems were important. It seemed that this wolf didn't know much more about hers than Tala did. From what Tala recalled, her gem didn't seem to vibrate or sing songs, but that could have just been because her magic activated in times of emotional stress or the user just didn't notice. What curious creatures these gems were!

The warm smile that Arkrael offered sent a strange sensation down Tala's spine. This positive energy seemed to add to her own energy and awaken her from any drowsiness she may have been experiencing from "birth." She started getting impatient, probably from being just released and having so much more to learn! Not only that, but Arkrael offered to help teach the youngster all she knew, however much that was worth. "Yes. I want to learn." She paused and looked around the cold tunnel that she would forever remember as the location of her emergence. Was there more than this in the world? "I will follow...for now. I will try to help too." If their powers were so different, there would be a time when the two wouldn't be as useful for each other...possibly. Tala knew, somehow, that forming this relationship was important. It could have been anyone that found her and maybe even try to kill her. Who knows! She didn't exactly know a whole lot about the world at this point. On to learning! "Where now? What now?" Tala walked closer to her new (dare she say it!) friend and looked at Arkrael with her large pale gray eyes. She was anxious to start her new adventure.

"Speech" Thoughts

Again Arkrael offered a smile and a nod this time at Tala's words. Alright then. Tala would follow her for now. It was a good a start as any. She didn't at all assume this pup would follow her for as long as they lived. Not if Tala was anything like Arkrael. If it were not Tamelyn, Arkrael followed no on. No one, but herself. Tamelyn was her best friend. Her Hatchmate. If Tamelyn needed Arkrael to follow her, then she would have just that. Tam was one fortunate deer. Shaking her thoughts Arkrael rose from her paws and shook her fur that was finally starting to become more cold than she would have liked.

"Ok. I will take you to Eridanus first! Maybe there we can begin your first lesson," Arkrael nearly laughed over the word lesson. It made her sound like a teacher. "How to hunt!" It was the first thing any creature needed to learn. Feeding themselves was an important part of life. If they did not eat, surely they would die. With that in mind Arkrael made to move around Tala and with a confident bounce in her step, eagerly headed towards her home. Hopefully Tala would love it there about as much as Arkrael did. Of course...one day when Arkrael was older the wolf, unbeknownst to her at the present time, would grow to see that moss and fern filled area as hers. Her territory. One day...
