A Crystal that was on the forest floor is starting to hatch and out came a fox. Leaf shoke out of fur after she came out she squinted and looked around as her eyes got used to the light her huge ears perked listening to the sounds.She sneezed and licked her nose and sat down and begin to groom herself. Her ears twitched she got up and padded over to a rock warmed by the sun she leaped on top of it and layed down and yawned showing long white fangs she rested her head on her paws and went to sleep

"Hello?"

A small creature-- though certainly larger than Leaf-- crept out of the underbrush, approaching the slumbering fox with wide eyes. He was doubtlessly a strange Beast-- six legs (two without hooves), disheveled brown fur, and two gently waving tentacles in place of a mouth. Instead, his voice originated from someplace on his torso. Certainly something you'd see in a fantasy game, perhaps, not stumbling through the jungle.

Beast had been... travelling, you could say. Exploring all the caves had to offer. This cave, the Jungle Cave, quickly became a favorite with all its lush vines and verdant slopes. But this was the first time he actually saw a greater here. He took a step forward, and looked down curiously as glimmering sapphire shards crunched under his hoof. A new hatchling?

"Are you new?" Beast called out, tenative.

Leaf sat up perking her big ears she looked over at beast ''Yes i'm new" She replied she sniffed the air but did not come closer to beast "What are you?" she asked tilting her head

Beast's tentacles raised happily. She was a new hatchling! My, that's not something you see every day. He looked her over-- large ears, plush fur, and the characteristic chubbiness of a pup all reminded him of some of the other creatures's he's seen, though none were as ginger as her. Maybe it was worth spending a bit of time chatting here.

"I'm a Beast!" the hybrid replied happily, unaware of the word's normally negative connotation. "I got six legs and two feely-things, and that's what makes me... well, me!" Beast sniffed the air-- well, he couldn't actually smell but he did mimic the vixen's sniffing playfully. "What about you? You have four little legs and big ears... are you a dog? I- I mean, you probably don't know what that is, but..." His guttural voice trailed off. "Ooh, do you have a name yet?"

" I'm a fox not a dog" Leaf said flicking her tail she licked her paw her ears twitching "and i'm called Leaf" she shoke out her fur and sat back down watching beast

Beast nodded his large head in understanding. "Oh, okay!" What's a fox, again? She looked just like a funny dog. Are foxes a type of dog?

"Leaf! That's a pretty one." Leaf. Leaf. Leaves were green and pretty-- in fact, he was standing in a whole jungle made of leaves! "Well, nice to meet you, Leaf!" he held out a tentacle in greeting. "Do you wanna play a game? I know plenty of games, but not a lot of animals wanna play them with me. Ooh, how about this one? One of us is 'it,' and has to chase the other person to make them it, and we both run around doing so. Does that sound fun? You can go first, if you want."
