At the question the little feline shook her head. Admittedly she'd been too awed by it's presence and appearance to do much questioning. "No, perhaps I should..." She looked back up to the white mushroom preparing a question in her mind but then the other cat spoke up again.

The feline looked down at the feather, eyes bright with realization. "Yes! That seems right! Mother was trying to give me... an... i-i-identity!" She stroked the feather from the bird as she analyzed it. It was from a black bird... a black feather. Was that to be her name? "Am I... Blackfeather?" She spoke out loud the thought and to her it seemed right.

She nodded her head. Yes. She liked that. "Who are you? Do you have... an identity too?" How had she known what the Mother was trying to say? Could she read and sense what the All Mother was saying too?

Owlfeather I think it's time you found some frame of mind

The kitten looked around, ears pricked. "I don't know. Maybe soon," she said, but she nodded a little. Blackfeather sounded right for the other kit.

She got up, wandering a little. She looked once more at the monarch with a tilted head before looking back at Blackfeather, as if expecting an explaination.

The kit picked up the feather in her mouth as she stared at the other feline. Maybe soon? Yes, she absolutely had too. She had been born underneath the Mother as well and the kindly being wouldn't want both of her children to go without an identity. They just had to be patient but in the meantime.

Blackfeather leaned forward and pushed the feather towards the other feline. "Could you put this behind my ear?" She didn't want to lose the All Mother's gift nor did she want to just store it somewhere. She wanted to flaunt her gift to the world and show the All Mother's kindness to everyone she met. "I'd be most grateful." And while they were doing that perhaps her sign would appear or they'd be lead in the right direction.
