From a spark to a flame

Oh! Well! That was... a lot. No wonder the poor guy was attention-starved if he hadn't been anywhere else! "Those are always the best naps, aren't they?" She smiled with a little laugh at Lorelei. She seemed carefree, and Anala was already starting to enjoy the pair's company.

She turned back to Pudge next, front paws gently swirling the water around. She was rarely still. "I'm surprised you haven't found one of the water tunnels yet!" She remarked, tilting her head. She knew that there were at least some caves connected through water tunnels, but she didn't exactly know where any of them were. Surely Lorelei would know? Pudge would certainly find more people to talk to if he travelled! "You might like Polaris! Is there a way to its river from here, Lorelei?" She turned back to the seal, alternating eye contact with each of her heads. "Not that you have to go! I like your pond!" She smiled towards Pudge again before shifting, trying to make it easier to address the both of them at once. Just because Anala liked to travel didn't mean everyone did!

Pudge thought reaaaally hard. Had he been anywhere else? He had been here in the cold water place for a very very long time, but now that he was straining to think about it, he remembered hatching somewhere else. "Um. Maybe! I remember..." He was quiet for a moment but then the mention of a river had him perk up again.

"Oh! A river! It swept me away! I was really tiny and it was really strong. I thought I was going to die but then it threw me over the waterfall!" A fin poked out of the water as he gestured, gently slapping the top of the water in his motions, towards where the water came crashing down. "I don't like that river. It's scary. I like it here! But." He looked from Anala to Lorelei. "I want. To go see other rivers, if there's more! I don't know any other caves! I've always wanted to fly!"

And here he pushed himself as far out of the water as possible, both front fins waving rapidly, as if imitating a bird's flight, splashing tiny droplets of water all around, before his momentum carried him too far forward and he fell back in the water. He quickly right himself, turning around and darting back to the surface to look out again.
