North-East Quadrant — Cepheus

Cepheus is known as the Room of Kings, fit with a palace and expansive garden. The palace grounds are guarded by Isra, a lion-like valkhound with snake tails. The majority of the palace is built with foreign alabaster stone and has varying ornate features, including tiled floors, plush pillows, and a courtyard at the center with potted trees, walkways, and narrow pools of water. Beyond the palace is the gardens. Elsewhere, the room is mostly empty with grassy fields, short trees, and worn trails. Near the Tunnel F entrance is a raised hill, with an ever-blooming tree creating a perpetual blanket of petals at the top. This room is strangely dim, with black crystals lining its ceiling that cast the room in Voidlight. It is weakest near the cave lights and lights of the palace, and strongest in the shadows.
LOCATIONS

The Palace
Perhaps the most architecturally advanced building in the entire cave system, the Palace is mostly open for visitors but some rooms remained magically locked.
The Crystal Gardens
The gardens of the Palace boast water features, crystal sculptures, and varying plants. It has many places to sit and enjoy a snack, relax, or simply admire the view.
Grassy Knoll
A raised, grassy hill with a single blossoming tree at the top; the tree is always full with sweet white flowers.
The Gentle River
This narrow river curves through Cepheus; it is shallow and easy to pass through.

Grishia and Luna were doing a great job of talking around the wet little rat in the room. Luna chose a light, fruity tea. It tasted like a honeymoon - or what they imagined how a honeymoon tasted, before the tryst soured with age. Of all the things Luna would do, she would not let her marriage die slowly.

"Yes! A blossoming romance has overtaken the gardens of my flowering heart..." And she would be the dutiful little honeybee, extracting everything of value from the stamen and out-competing the native pollinators, with the help of her sponsor...

"I favour black. The iridescence is delicious, and white is more of my fiance's colour. The ummm. The one with... Sleeves, I think," A paw brushed the fur on their arm. "Perhaps there's a way to reintroduce the layering on the dress?"

Grishia listened to the others with an expression (and feeling) of amused benevolence. Not condescension, no, but she was just happy to be here, among friendly strangers, listening to their desires and goals. It was... nice to get out, really.

When her turn to speak came, she started a little, then let out a small laugh at her own reaction, huge ears briefly flicking back. She turned her teacup in one hand, thinking quickly. "I think... for my work, aesthetics are important?" she half-asked, glancing at Mimosa with hopeful mischief faintly sparking in her eyes. She hoped they'd understand what she meant. "I'm part of the Bonebound, a group--mostly family--in Canis. So... primal things. Bones and leather, scrappy clothes. Whatever's easiest for you," she added.

She didn't particularly care about the shape, so long as it looked fairly primitive. She wanted something that said 'shaman,' and 'seer,' and 'oracle' and 'mystic.' It's what her mother had cultivated, and she'd come to understand that there was something in first impressions, and in later ones, too.

Mimosa paused EVERYTHING to watch Worm play with yarn. They were entranced, for a moment, seeing the purity of joy (or at least predatory playfulness) in a young cat. They did not scold him, instead blinking, rapt. After a moment they came back to themselves, beaming, and looked at their guests.

"Hmm, all right. Let me think. You," they decided, pointing delicately at Worm. But reluctantly, too, like they hated to interrupt the "cat playing with yarn" scene! "I think I have the yarn, but for dye, I will need you to find me something in the colors that you want. Feathers, berries, gemstones--anything I can grind down to make the dye for it. And... you'll have a hard time taking clothes off and on with that anatomy, so let's fix that! Bring me small stones. Say... five or ten. Any color you like, and keep them... fairly small," they went on, holding fingers up to demonstrate a little under an inch of diameter. "I'll polish them and shape them into special buttons, like these, so you can manage the clothing yourself." They turned to tap gently at a formal shirt that had small buttons and strings to allow hind legs to manage removing (or donning) the clothing on a quadrupedal form. They then offered out a small pouch, held on a yarn string: "You can carry it all in this, if you like." It was sized to hang neatly but loosely around the feline's neck.

"For your clothing, I shouuuuld have enough material. I think. But the dye, again, is--complex! But such things are worth it, no? If you'd like the Oilstone look, we'll need black... slime. Well. It's from corpses, to put it bluntly. You can carry it in this," they went on, bustling around until they found a small, empty jar on a shelf. "Try to make sure the outside of the jar's clean when you return it--the smell lingers," and their snout wrinkled up in distaste. "Then a black gem, or Oilstone, just a piece--and a Give Stone spell cast, to impart a piece of your own into the work--or a volunteer's, if you find someone. Perhaps less meaningful, but I don't mind. I will handle the rest. Or-... if that is too much to ask, I could create a simple black with edging like this." They turned, holding up another piece of fabric, this one rippling bright purple and green. "It won't have the same effect, but it should look good alongside matte black... For that I would need green pigment, purple, and the casting of a spell that forms venom in the teeth. In the meantime, I will workshop some designs! Ruffles... Yes..."

For Grishia, the process was simpler. "Hide and bone, then," they said, with a smile. "Plenty of hide, I think two large deer should suffice. I'll teach you quickly how to cut it from the bodies, if you don't know, but bring it here quickly after washing any... remains away. I will treat it, but it will take time. And pick what bones, antlers, and so forth you like the look of."

Fingers tapped lips, Mimosa going over it all in their mind before adding, "If you could all work together to bring me a bit of fiber for thread, I am running low. Anything will do: grasses, spider-silk, woolly deer wool. I can work with all of it." Magic, probably.

Thread participants are being directed to start separate threads to find materials for their clothing. These threads can be together or separate. Characters should return to this thread after a time skip (after posting any questions or departures) to get their clothing finalized.

The Known Dyes and Ingredients List can be consulted for materials needed.

Worm needs to find any pigment to create Green Dye, which must be rolled for; he should also collect some stones that can be reshaped into buttons. These do not need to be rolled for.

Luna is being tasked with finding the materials for Creator's Essence dye, but can choose a lesser or other dye if preferred.

Grishia is being tasked with finding hides and bones, at least two large deers' hides but several (4-5) smaller animals will also do. Bones should be shaped and sized to her preference.

Optionally, all three are also being asked to find any fibrous material: spidersilk, wool, grass, etc. but anything will do. This must be rolled for, but failure to obtain/try to obtain it will only result in disappointment from Mimosa.

Worm froze as he was addressed. As if the word 'you' had enough power to pin him in place. Then he slowly began to move, speaking Mimosa's words silently as he committed them to memory. Green things, just like paint parts. Little stone and fiber. He just had to not forget.

He ducked his head into the proffered pouch so it could hang around his neck. Green things, just like paint parts. Little stone and fiber. The pouch was nice, much easier than batting the ingredients across the floor to where he needed them; or carrying them between his teeth. Green things, just like paint parts. Little stone and fiber.
The feline then turned his head towards the other two. They both had arms and grabbers. Both of which were really good for tasks like this. So, rather than leaving right away, he lingered, watching them both. Maybe. Maybe if he was lucky, one of the grabber-havers would invite him with them. Something green, uh.. stones. And something else..

Optional companion: Worm. But not mandatory, sort of like a Skyrim follower.

Grishia nodded, attentive, her round ears flicking to and fro as she committed this to memory. "Hide and bone." She paused, hesitated, then offered a sheepish and toothy grin. "Can you show me how to cut it off? I have a feeling there's a technique I don't know."

She waited to be shown, and then turned to see if either of the others lingered. "Did you guys want to cooperate or go it alone? I don't mind the company," she added, scratching at one arm with the opposite set of claws. She eyed Worm, then. "And maybe I can help you pick up and carry stuff?" Her expression was kindly; she was remembering how hard it was for her hyena mother to move rocks and bones around.
