Kerberos' ears perked as Arkrael spoke once more. A pair of grins flickered on to his muzzles, and one head reached forward to lick the underside of her snout affectionately. "Yeah," he woofed, his tail swishing back and forth. "Thank you." But the Alpha went on, warning him, cautioning him. Surprisingly enough to the three headed canine, Arkrael encouraged him to fight and defend himself if he saw the deer ever again.

His ears laid back, pink eyes searching her expression for an understanding. Wasn't she friends with the other? If he bared his teeth to the deer, wouldn't he have to face her? That was how it worked. If he hunted gembounds that could speak, their friends would gang up and their teeth would be his end. That was what every single gembound had told him growing up.

"He's your friend, right? Won't you protect him? I can't beat you," came his voices of confusion. "You don't want me to eat him..." Yet, what she was saying pointed to her goading him into fighting the deer. Considering this, the heads glanced at one another, and after a short pause, he tried to sooth her heart.

"I'll defend myself," he decided, "but I won't hurt him," "if I don't have to."

You dare tell me you love me
But you held me down and screamed you wanted me to die
Honey you know, you know I'd never hurt you that way

A soft rumble sounded in her chest as Kerberos gave her an affectionate lick against her muzzle. Ears twisted forward as he spoke and she was glad be was starting to feel better. A deep sigh escaped the canine at his next inquiry and she had to look away for a small moment, turning hurt eyes towards the tunnel they had both came from only a short while ago. Vazi's furious face still painted clearly on her mind, his assault against her even more so clouded her mind. She was upset and distraught about Wynry as well, but it was as if something had snapped in the stag. He had attacked Kerberos and then soon after turned his anger on her.

"No... I will not protect him," a low growl vibrated in her chest as she gave a sharp pop of her jowls. Even now she was still in shock, adrenaline coursing through every inch of her being, but she knew once it settled that the dull ache in her chest would grow worse and she would be left to face the decision Vazi had made. She turned her gaze back towards Kerberos with a frown, "No I don't want you to eat him... But I don't want you to be hurt. So... You fight him if he ever attacks again, or run if that is why you choose, but do not hesitate. I won't be mad at you for defending yourself against him," it felt wrong to say any of it. She should have wanted to protect Vazi. He was her love, the one thing that could send her heart fluttering. Yet now he shunned her, promised to cause harm should he ever see her again. She would stay away for she would not be able to trust herself to fight him. Not yet...

"We probably shouldn't linger much longer...if he decides to leave Monoceros and make chase of us we will not be ready for it," she sighed heavily once again. She didn't want to believe that he would come after them, especially her, but he was unstable now and the anger that was surely fueling him may just lead him right to the two he wanted to cause most harm to. "He's no tracker...so it shouldn't be hard to go somewhere. Maybe we can go to Pisces so you can get a bit more to drink, the water should be fresher there," she offered the idea to him. Not too sure if the puddles had been enough for him. Not to mention neither of them were in any kind of state to defend themselves at this current moment.

The three-headed canine listened to the elder, trying to make sense of her words. They seemed beyond his understanding of loyalty, but at the very least he could figure out that she was no longer friends and family with the deer. Still, the prey-beast had nearly destroyed him without so much as blinking, and that was enough to keep the cerberus cautious.

As she spoke of Pisces, the dog's tail twitched in a gentle wag and he rose to his feet. "Home is safer," he told Arkrael straight forwardly, bowing his noses to her. "Through the passage between Life and Death. My family is there." Despite the ominous words and his serious tone, he seemed to be eager to head off to the place he considered home.

"Not far. I'll show you," he offered, backing up, though he seemed to wait for her to give him the okay to go. If she insisted, he would be quite happy to follow her wherever she like. Canis wasn't that full of water-- it had shallower puddles than Orion, but his mother could give him a check up or something. She was wise and knew all about health and junk, sort of.

@Arkrael , rip short post... we can exit if you want, whichever way, to pisces or canis, haha
