Asurai listened to the cat, her ears flattened a little and she gave a little nod. For now she would follow along, after all she had nothing else to do. She took a deep breath as she looked around slowly. As she did, she spoke to the two in front of her. "To love myself? I am not so sure of that. All.......all I want to do is help others. If I can't help myself, then how am I to help others? I am just a stupid little wolf cub. What can I do?" She looked around as she continued to follow closely behind them. She gave a soft sigh, her tail in between her legs.

i've got my sights on, my sights on a brand new beginning

Dovefeather led the way, listening to the whines of the canine with an ear coned back towards her, but otherwise seemed oblivious to the worries of the pup.

It wasn't long before the trio ended up at the clearing where the massive Monarch stood-- a towering, almost ominous mushroom that cast a harsh shadow compared to the soft ferns and leaves of the trees and plants around.

The feline stopped at the tip of the shadow, the harsh white light of the cave's fake-sun orbs landing across her face, but her paws were in darkness cast by the shroom. She craned her head towards Asurai and finally addressed the wolf's question.

"That is something that you must learn on your own path. No one can teach you what you need to know to become strong."

"The All Mother will guide your path. You must trust in her, and no matter what happens, keep moving forward."

Slowly, she sat down and curled her dark tale around the dot of grey on her paws. At this point, she turned her gaze to the mushroom once more and closed her eyes, speaking softly.

"This is but one part of the All Mother. Her body. I once guarded her Eyes, hoping to see as She did one day. Something horrible has befallen her, and thus my life has been thrown into disarray."

"It hurts. I doubt myself. But, you see, I continue on. You must do the same."

"You are but a child, Asurai. You will make mistakes. You will fail. It will hurt. But one day, you will overcome your fears. You will learn. It is not always easy-- more often, is it increasingly difficult. Our faith is tested with every breath."

"You do not have to believe me... But if you follow Her, you will See, one day."
