Damian was quiet as the Hyena turned towards her gem. He nearly flinched when she started biting at her gem. The idea of actually forcing it didn't feel right to Damian. He shook his head and frowned towards the hyena when she questioned his motives. "if I wanted to play tricks on you I would have before you even knew I was around," he snorted as he fully say back against his rump. "I didn't say try to bite it...I said try to think about it. As if you were summoning some ability you may have," he eyed her again, curious to know if she would keep trying or if she would give up.

She had... obviously misunderstood, and right away she felt stupid. If the hyena woman was able to visibly blush from the embarassment of that, she would be, but any hint of color to her face was luckily hidden under her fur. But that only made her more determined to do this if he was correct. The hyena woman focused then, instead of using force, she used her mind. She concentrated her power and magic on her gem -- focusing as hard as she could. The poor thing hadn't ever been very good at shows of magic, but soon enough, it worked. There was definitely a feeling involved, but it was more like a pressure than a pain as her gem cracked and chipped almost on it's own accord. The small stone piece shed, it fell into the ground, hitting with a gentle sound and rolling in between her and Damian. It was black and smooth, like Lux's own gem was. She coulldn't help but just stare at it for a long second, before beginning to laugh with a sense of disbelief. "It worked... I really thought you were bullshitting me."

It had fallen quiet once again. Damian found himself simply staring at the female hyena and for a moment her considered that prehaps they should know each others names. Not that Damian was at all involved with anything to do with this hyena. However, it only seemed fitting considering what they were currently plotting up. "The name's Damian, by the way," He grunted only to pause when he heard a soft clatter against the ground.

His gaze fell to the obsidian gem shard. It had worked. A smirk curled across his features and he took no time to reach out his pawed hand and plucked the thing up from the ground. "Now why would I go and bullshit something if I would have no positive outcome for myself," He chuckled darkly as he rolled the shard in the palm of his paw. Quietly he studied it before he finally attempted to bring his magic to life once to try and put life into this gem. But there was ultimately no response.

Her eyes watched curiously as he scooped up the gem that she had shed onto the ground, his hand clutching it. ”Lux.” She gave her own name short and sweet – no ‘nice to meet you’ or anything of the sort. This situation was beyond just a little bit weird, and she still felt as if there was something off about this male despite agreeing somehow to go alone with his plan. Maybe she was still just naïve and impressionable, or something. ”I don’t know, you just seem like the kind of guy who would have something up his sleeve.” She replied to him, a little bluntly, but not regretting it. Maybe she was judging a book by it’s over, but it was hard not to. His form was unnatural, in her eyes – his wings out of place and almost demonic in appearance. She would go as far to maybe think he was scary, even if she would never give him the pride of admitting that out loud. Then, tilting her head a little, she questioned. "Is it working?" It didn't seem like much was happening, and she wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that from the outside.

A smirk curled across his features at Lux's words. Perhaps he was one to have esomething up his sleeve a lot, but not this time. This time he was out to see how things worked. His gaze lifted from the gem to the hyena for a brief moment before he focused on the gem again. He attempted again, the sensation soon filled through his body and with a rush of air he felt his magic fall to the gem in the palm of his paw. He smirked. It was done. "It has worked, yes," He purred lowly as he rose to his feet. His tail lashed around as he wrapped his paw around the gem securely before turning his gaze down to the hyena. "Much appreciation, but it is time I take my leave. Perhaps I will find you when the child hatches," He smirked at her as his wings began to peel away from his back and spread out as far as they could. "Until next time we meet," with that said Damian launched himself from the ground and headed back towards the spire where he would place this gem among the others.

OoC: Sorry I cut it short :C

Lux wasn't sure exactly what she'd been expecting, but when he launched himself into the air with the gem, she couldn't help but let out a startled. "Hey! Wait! You can't just--" But he was already a good distance away by the time she reacted enough to speak. She took a few quick bounds after him before she stopped herself from pursuing completely, heart sinking in her chest a little bit. She hadn't even really had a chance to speak to him about what it all meant... she'd honestly figured that she would take that gem and put it with her collar. ... Her collar! Lux yipped with realization, turning and running back to the gemstone she'd left laying on the ground. She reached herself down, taking the collar-shaped gemstone gently in her teeth and lifting it up. She needed to find a safe place for this, to grow and blossom into a child without interferance. She didn't have time to pursue the beast, at least not now. In the future, however -- if she found him, she would have a few things to say about him stealing the child away without much warning.
