His little lamb friend bounded after him and shared his enthusiasm to go here and there and-- Vazi heard the lamb's voice from where it wasn't. The fawn stopped moving and looked off towards where he thought the voice had come from. Or... did it come from over there? His head shifted again slightly, ears flitting too and fro as he tried to find the voice. Finally he gave up and laughed. "You made an echo!" He raised his own voice to try and elicit the same effect but nothing happened. Weird... His head told him that an echo should work for anyone and not just the lamb. Maybe his lamb friend was just special. How neat!

The machine caught Vazi's attention only after Wynry turned to it. Seeing no danger in his precious young age the fawn took off after the lamb and went right up to the machine. He extended a nose to sniff it only to find the scent was oily and like that of metal. He wrinkled his nose up in distaste. "I do not know... smells bad though." He giggled as he glanced over to his companion. He wondered what it was too and what it was that it did. One thing was for certain, it was certainly loud and had something to do with the river. "Maybe... it makes the water?" It was the only answer he could come up with but for some reason it didn't seem right. No. This thing did something else entirely. But what?

An echo. Vazi couldn't do it either, but now the young sheep wanted to keep doing it. He felt a fluttering in his chest as he tried to make the words work and echo just so, just to show he could really control it. It was certainly a special thing he was doing, even if he didn't understand how and why.

So as his best buddy inspected the machine with him, he pondered what it could be and how he had made the weird echoes happen. Vazi suggested, curiously, that maybe it made water, but even he seemed to doubt that. To him it seemed more likely like the thing... was made From the water, but not like... Like, the water was being eaten and spat out by the thing, like the machine was taking something from the water and that was what made it hum and haw.

Doing his best sheep bleat, the lamb tried to convey just what he thought with his weird echo voice. (He was quite proud of it, you see.)

"It isn't making the water, Vazi! The water is making it. Giving it. Make the hum. I don't know how, but look, see. The water goes in and comes out, around the bits and stuff."

As the sheep spoke, his voice sounded distinctly like it did not come from him, but from the machine itself. This excited the easily excitable lamb enough to go on and on about his whole theory.

"So like! There must be something in the water, that it's taking from the water. Like... I dunno! But the water goes in and it hums and it must hum because of the water. The water makes a rushy sound, right? So maybe like--" And by now, there was a giggle coming from the sheep while the voice went on from the generator by-and-in the river. "--The big thing takes the water's rushy noise and makes it into a different noise! Like echo?"

Man, the echo was SO cool though. He was super ultra proud of it and he hoped that his deer friend loved it too.

As the red deer inspected the large humming thing his friend was figuring out how to use his powers. Vazi was unaware of this until his inspections were interrupted by his friend or rather another echo from his friend. It seemed Wynry had figured out how to perfect his "echoing" which Vazi didn't think it was true echoing at all. Something told him that it was magic. Some sort of essence within him that was allowing the little lamb to project his words elsewhere. In any case it seemed that Wynry had figured out what he couldn't. Amazing!

He studied the machine and inspected again with a new intelligence. Following the example of Wynry's words --since when had his friend been so smart?-- he studied how the water did indeed seem to be eaten by the machine before getting spat out again, like some sort of giant water eating thing. Looking at all that water... it was making him thirsty. Unknown to him he started to pull on the magic in his gem in an attempt to take in more water to his body. Then, after a moment he was no longer thirsty. Actually, he was full of energy! He felt as if he could do anything! Unknown to him it was the doing of his own magic.

He turned to Wynry, a new light and vigor shining in his eyes. "Yes, I understand now!" He leaned forward and nuzzled the top of Wyn's fuzzy head fondly. "You sure are a smart little lamb, Wyn!" He stepped forwards towards the water and splashed it with his hooves a bit before turning back to the caprine. "Come on! There are other places we can visit!" He trotted forwards away from the water and towards the exit. It would be fun to go see all the places with his friend.

Wyn bubbled with pride as his friend told him he was smart. He loved the feeling of Vazi's soft, velvety face on his short black fur, and his eyes closed as he relaxed, just for a moment. It was so good to have a friend, one who could help him see and solve so many mysteries. "You're smart too, buddy," he replied back, giving his friend a gentle nudge to his shoulder. The magic the deer had used had been so masterfully used that he hadn't even noticed, but if he had he would have been amazed. Sure he could make his voice sound weird, but Wynry would have definitely thought that his friend being able to do the machine thing but by taking water from the very air was much more impressive.

His friend splashed at the water a bit and he couldn't help but dip a hoof in too-- he was quite the mimicker of his older brother. Soon he was kicking at the water as much as he could, enjoying the splash of cold up his legs. His eyes shone as Vazi said there was plenty more to explore, and didn't he know it!

There was a whole world. Wyn smiled broadly, his ears waving all about, and even his tiny tail twitched with joy. He tagged along beside the deer, looking all about. "Do you think we'll find more things like that? More weird things?" He wondered, and with a spike of energy he knew he could not just walk to the next place. He broke off into a prance, his hooves clacking on the hard earth as he darted off ahead. E

"Let's go!"
