MAGICKA LEVEL 100%
RESTORED TO 100%

The dragon pondered over her words, thinking back on the gems he'd met. The gems who's magic shouldn't go together at all but somehow they made it all fit. At length he nodded his head. "I do believe such a thing is possible. It will take work but with practice and time you should be able to learn spells outside of your own element whether they are the complete opposite or not." They all had their own innate elements but he was certain that, no, he knew that others outside of the innate element could be learned. It just took time. "That is another thing you should practice. We all have our own elements and it's up to us to figure out what our elements are. Perhaps practicing and learning more about it could help you out." Being afraid and never using magic could only hurt her because when her magic did inadvertently happen it could be disastrous.

Equinox agreed to let him use her slime for studying after a bit of hesitation, to which Baratheon smiled. "Thank-you. You needn't worry about me though. I know a few tricks to keep myself safe." Especially from fire which he seemed at least partially resistant to. "I just want to try a few things and see if it'll neutralize or at least change the shape of the slime." He lowered his head then, sniffing at the slime that had collected about the black dragon. He studied it closely wondering if a state change spell would have any effect. He pondered it briefly before lifting his head back up eye level, or almost eye level, to Nox.

He let out a smile chuckle, finding her enthusiasm to be contagious. "Of course, who would I be to refuse to help out another dragon? In any case, I have homework for you as I have work of my own to conduct." Oh yes, it would take a bit of studying on his part to learn about this stuff but the slime dragon had left plenty behind so he would have more than enough to test. "I would like for you to tell me what element you are and demonstrate to me a spell. You don't have to do it now if you'd like to prepare or practice first but we need to start somewhere and that seems to be the best bet." If her slime was ignitable then perhaps learning to control her own fire might minimize the chance of accidental combustion. "Try concentrating on your gem to draw forth your magic and if water might help control the fire then perhaps attempting your spells there would help first." She might need time to work outher spell and perform it to her own liking, in any case he would be waiting here for her when she was done. Whether "done" was today or tomorrow or a few days after was up to her but he would be waiting here for her while he did his own "homework".

MAGICKA LEVEL 95%
RESTORED TO 100%

A tremble rippled through Equinox's skin, betraying her momentary indecisiveness as Baratheon spoke.

She didn't think that it would be at all possible, but the draconian creature knew that not trying would always be worse than failure. She had nothing to lose. So she looked at Baratheon with decisiveness reforming her skin into a solid, scaly texture- her equivalent of a determined expression. Her jaws opened, eye flashing for an instant as she spoke. "I'll try. I'll try my hardest. There'ssss nothing elssse I can do." Baratheon continued, examining her slime with care. Equinox stared, making sure that nothing was to happen- her momentarily patterned skin rippled once more but the dragon forced herself not to back away.

"If you... really feel that way, mmph-" Equinox's jaws clamped shut for a moment as she stopped herself from telling the other dragon to be careful again. Of course, it was better to be prepared but he knew, and she was growing redundant by this point. So instead the dragon simply stood stiffly, skin writhing as though it were made of maggots, jaws clasped shut so that she couldn't see him in order to protest.

She was hoping- longing that they would figure something out. Maybe she'd be able to go back to talking to others again! With this sort of knowledge she might be able to make some friends, and be able to reassure them that they didn't need to worry. Equinox's jaws parted slightly once more to look at Baratheon as they spoke. The other dragon wanted her to... cast a spell...? Her heart sank, her skin clearly showing her reservations, but the longer that she considered it, the closer she came to giving a tiny, barely noticeable nod. With a gurgling sigh, the dragon nodded. "F-fire. I'm going to go towardsss the water-" the great being gestured with her head towards the crystal river where she'd been drinking from moments before she'd come into contact with Baratheon. Then she began to bound towards it, back along the slime trail that she'd made on traveling here earlier, and leaving a fresh one. her body almost seemed to stretch like elastic, each pace catapulting her forward, her great wings spraying slime in all directions.

When she reached the waters edge, Equinox didn't wait for Baratheon- in fact the further away he was, the better. The dragon sucked in her breath, shook as much slime as she could from her muzzle and then her chest convulsed.

But it seemed that Equinox's fear had gotten the best of her- instead of fire, she just spat out a small glob of black onto the dirt. She couldn't even feel a heat in her chest. A tremble passed over her skin, and she looked back the way she'd come in panic, still determined to cast before Baratheon reached her.

"Speech looks like this."
"Thoughts looks like this."
