Sirius grinned and let out a soft, musical chuckle. He was part of the Sinful Seven now, he was part of something! And with King Envy's reaction to him joining, he felt a trickle of emotion in his heart.

The trickle of approval.

'Would you like me to show you the place we call home?'

The marten - no, Sirius - nodded enthusiastically, magenta eyes lighting up in utter cheer. "Yes please, let's go!"

Envy grinned, and couldn't help but bounce their front paws in a small- but slightly suppressed show of excitement. "Follow me!" they shrilled, and before they could even wait for a response, the weasel was bounding away, into the streets of the ruined city. Before long, the earthen ground had hardened into cold stone and the familiar smell of worn stone reached their nostrils. After a while they stopped and turned back to ensure that the young one was still following them.

"The Seven live in the very centre. It's the safest place in the caves!" Although it was more opinion than fact, Envy wholly believed their words- although it was largely because of their kingdom as they trained and guarded, and- Envy hoped- looking out for them.

Seeing their king grin made the young pine marten smile back, Sirius feeling elated at the thought of seeing his new home. When Envy ended up running off before Sirius could respond, the marten quickly gave pursuit, nervously shouting after them: "K-King Envy, wait for me!"

When the earth hardened into cold and smooth stone, the scent of the place smelling almost like eroding rock - Sirius was curious. Where were they going? What was at the end of this street? His questions were finally answered when Envy finally stopped, possibly for him to catch up.

'The Seven live in the very center. It's the safest place in the caves!'

When Envy ended up saying that, Sirius looked amazed. 'So the entire Seven stayed in there! No wonder it must be safe - they must be protecting where they live!' His mind ecstatically thought.

Envy paused and turned back for a moment to wait for the young marten as requested, but they could hardly stop the energy making them want to bound onwards and into the heart of their kingdom. in their excitement, they knew wholeheartedly that they weren't at all being frugal with their energy reserves. But the weasel didn't care one bit. But they had to wait, for a moment at least. Luckily, they didn't have to wait long before hurrying on again, bounding further into the heart of the city.

It was quite a walk, but the way to the throne was etched into the weasel's memory, and soon Envy was climbing up the grand stone steps hop by hop.They couldn't wait to see what the little marten thought of the throne room, and their throne. One could say it was fit for a king.

Seeing Envy pause for a moment, Sirius managed to catch up to the weasel, breathing out a "Thank you..." as he did so.

As he followed Envy, he felt a small prickle of excitement go down his spine. Wherever they were going (and it sure was long), must be really cool!

Seeing Envy go up each huge stone step hop by hop, the marten quickly followed suit, hoping to see where they were going to end up.

Finally, the weasel reached the top of the stairs and stood proudly at the top as they waited for Sirius to catch up. The throne room seemed as though it had once stood so grandly- but its towering walls were now crumbled, some of its immense pillars lying or with pieces strewn. Still, from its spot in the rubble, the Throne still stood, and it still stood grand despite its cycles. And of course, it was Envy's.

The weasel pattered forward with their head raised high and crown twinkling, so that they could clamber up onto the throne- sticky paws gripped the sheer rock surface like it was nothing, and finally they sat back on the throne to survey their domain and watch what Sirius did next.

"The Seven live close by. If you stay close, you'll meet them. But the Throne is mine," the weasel said proudly, and nobly. They looked around, hoping and perhaps wishing that one or two or three or more of their kingdom would emerge from the shadows like ghosts- to impress the youngster and re-assert their position as a true king. But of course, they were alone. The Seven were close, but they weren't here. Not right now. "You should find a home somewhere close! There are lots of little nooks and crannies between the rocks. So long as you stay away from mine."

When Sirius had finally made it up the stairs, he looked around at the once-regal throne room, now crumbling at the seams.
Yet still, a throne still stood, grand against the rocks and silt around the area - and watching Envy walk with confidence and making their way onto the throne made Sirius bow once again, rising up when Envy spoke:

'The Seven live close by. If you stay close, you'll meet them. But the Throne is mine,'

The marten nodded. Envy was the king after all, and a king does needs a throne!

'You should find a home somewhere close! There are lots of little nooks and crannies between the rocks. So long as you stay away from mine.'

"All right! I'll go look for somewhere!" Sirius cheered as he bounded out of the room, going to look for his new home. He had hatched, met a King and joined a group known for turning weaknesses into strengths - the Sinful Seven. All in his first day awakened. All in all...

it was a good day.

OOC Chatter: ((Sorry if i ended the thread a bit early, i just wanted to wrap things up nice and neat.))

Envy grinned as they watched the youngster's excitement- and watched him bound out of the room to find a place of his own among the Seven. The king was pleased- more than pleased, in fact. Almost enough to sweeten the sour taste in their mouth that Lust's blow had left behind- sourer than the taste of cinnabar, or their own bile.

Their kingdom was growing. they were a good king. But somehow their heart still felt heavy- somehow they still wanted more. Somehow despite it all, they were still jealous, looking at those around them and realizing with a jolt that they were still the same weasel. The regal, kingly attitude that they took for granted still came out forced and they wondered how many of their kingdom still saw through it.

If they did, though, the King reminded themselves, that they were still here. still following tem. Somehow, Envy still had a kingdom to lead. And a pretty big one, at that.
