Did she mean something by emphasizing valk, or was she simply drawing a distinction between what she was and other types of canines? She certainly didn't look canine. He forced a smile, and turned then to leave -- not just the palace, but Cepheus altogether. He had a feeling she wouldn't want him sniffing around more than was strictly necessary.
