Onyx-Three tilted his head, confused by the statement. "Perhaps." It was certainly true that corruption had some effects, though he had not heard of it being like that. Perhaps it affected different gembounds in unique ways. Peach Scone was certainly strange enough that he wouldn't be surprised if that was what it made them feel like. "I do not think you would be able to do that." Especially with Sentinel around. Wait, what were they thinking? They shouldn't have to rely on their father all the time! No, they could trust themselves to handle Peach Scone if such a thing were to happen. "Would you like more corruption?"

Peach Scone floats away from Onyx. They move slowly and deliberately, trying not to look upsetting but looking even more disturbing by virtue of their efforts.

"...Perhaps? Why are you being so fucking nonchalant about this?"

That, at least, they can agree on. "The only part of me that's hard is my teeth," it says, "and I don't have nearly enough of those."

The next sentence that comes out of his mouth is utterly baffling. "The corruption stuff makes me want to Murder and you're offering more? Are you--" Peach Scone stops themself from saying something rude. "--thinking this through?"

Had the corruption altered the matter of this creature? Why was it floating like that? No, that wasn't possible. From what he knew about it, it shouldn't be able to do that. Maybe? "Corruption is complex. I do not question it." Onyx-Three could not tell if Peach Scone was happy or sad about this whole thing. But why would it be sad? He saw absolutely nothing wrong with it.

"You can never have enough teeth." he agreed, teeth were just so useful! For hunting, for fighting, for biting things in general... yeah, he loved teeth. "I also want more teeth."

Their head tilted even more than it already was. "I do not understand. If you want corruption there is plenty." Onyx-Three saw no problem with what was happening right now. It was not wrong to have murderous urges, was it?

Peach Scone stares at Onyx for a long, long moment.

And stares some more.

There is clearly something deeply wrong with this guy.

"What the fresh hell have I gotten myself mixed up in?" she muttered. "Whatever, let's just. Keep going, I guess?"

With all of her confused and frightened energy Peach Scone focuses on trying to knock Onyx down once more.

He stares back. In this staring, he found himself noticing that its stone replaced her eye. It was black, like his, but not of the same variety. "Okay." They found themselves surprised at how quickly Peach Scone shifted from being crazy about corruption to not really caring. Ah well. At least they could get back to sparring considering she seemed fine.

Onyx-Three was prepared for a magical attack this time, especially considering what had happened previously. He immediately responded by aiming to strike at her gemstone to disable the spell cast.

One moment, Peach Scone was about to cast a spell. The next, she was Not.

"What devilry is this?" she cried, flummoxed. At the very least, he was not attacking immediately again, which gave her a moment to ponder strategy.

It'd have to be a spell that worked even if she didn't cast it right by him. So she launches herself into the air, rippling like a sidewinder serpent, and bounces herself upon the walls to gain momentum once more, and launches herself at him again. A moment before she gets within reach, she tries to cast a localized version of Fall Over Now...

And it does work, albeit barely.

Yes! He finally did it! Onyx-Three was very proud of himself for having succeeded in stopping a magical attack. He was learning. Despite having slight trauma from the ordeal in terms of Peach Scone-like things, they had gained knowledge about how to counter magic. They hoped the Sentinel was watching. "A punch." Onyx-Three answered the rhetorical question, not realizing that it was rhetorical.

Uh oh, here she comes again with the bouncing combo. Would it be a bite, or another magical attack? Though he figured if this attempt worked it would probably be pretty surprising either way. Onyx-Three picked up a rock, then attempted to chuck it at Peach Scone's gem. And it missed. Hey, who said it was easy to hit a moving object? He was knocked over by the spell cast, and found himself scrambling to get back on his feet. But it was interesting. Rocks for ranged attack in response to magic.

Is he for real? That's gotta be, like, cheating.

She feels a surge of probably inappropriate anger, and picks up a rock of her own. She floats up further above him and tosses it at him as hard as she can throw--though she still has enough self control to aim at his midriff rather than his head.

Oh wow, now this thing was gonna use his own tactics against him huh? At least that meant no more magic. Maybe. Magic was trickier to counter, especially if that thing was a flying creature. The rock went flying at his stomach- which was reasonable. This was a spar after all. You were not supposed to go in with the intent to injure. Though it could also be said that he wasn't sure if the rock was just missing its target or if it was actually intended to go there. Anyways, Onyx-Three held up an arm and blocked the stone. "Stones are easier to block than magic." This could be interpreted as a comment, or it could be that he was giving it some advice.

Peach Scone screeches incoherently, abandoning all pretense of decorum and charging in for a bite to the head, mouth open as distressingly wide as possible.
