'I would protect you, Lavonia, even if we can across him' she watched Firenze swell with pride. Though if he would protect her! Then who would protect him! With their play already being initiated from before she dashed off after him! Straight into the misty forest! Laughter bubbling up and out into the air around them. She could feel Vicktor practically on top of her in this chase. He seemed to be chasing Firenze too! Even through this mist he was close enough to see in her peripheral. But before she knew it, he was gone?
Though she wasn't sure when she had lost track of him though. Running after Firenze, jumping over him and even running from him in turn. There was a lot going on. Even doing such actions in a non misty environment it would have been hard to keep an eye on him. But he had just, vanished? Without even a goodbye!?
Coming to a halt she sat in the mist. Her bubbling laughter froze and was replaced with soft sniffles. "F-Firenze!! I cant find V-v-vicktor!! He left!" Did she bore him? She thought they were best buddies! Was he angry at them!? Did she focus on Firenze too much!? The small snow leopard cried, only to look over and see her dear sweet coyote approaching her through the mist. Maybe...maybe Vicktor got lost? But he grew up here didn't he?
She was more than confused and seemed to blame his random disappearance on herself. She just wanted to grow up with him...but....she still had Firenze...that was someone at least.

Through all the discussion on what they should do he wasn't sure what to expect when Lavonia wandered over to him. It definitely wasn't a smack on the head that's for sure! He stood there, partially stunned that she had changed the topic so quickly! Though Firenze didn't seem to mind! After all he was already running into the mist! With Lavonia fast on his heels!
Pft, he got this! He would catch them both! He was the master of the fog after all! He was practically one with it by now! Digging in deep he rushed after them. Quickly gaining ground and catching up to Lavonia with ease! He was practically inches from her! Running beside her, that was until something caught his attention. Through all the laughter and taunts they spouted in the mist he could hear it. There was another?
He could hear the swampy terrain...something...was moving through it...it sounded like...hooved feet! This had to be Clover! A sharp twang radiated through his chest. He missed her so much! Even with the company of other gembounds, as kind as they were. They could never replace his sweet ethereal doe!
"Guys I!...I gotta go! I think I hear her!! I will catch up with you later! I have to get Clover!" He repeated this, once...twice...even a third time. Yet he received no response. The mist was too thick now, at least where he had stopped. Standing still he could barely make out the words they spouted with joy at one another through their playful chase. Every sound bouncing off the thick blanket that covered the forest. Most of it was devoured and never reached the young jaguar.
He had a dilemma now. Should he run off and try to find them? Explain to them what was going on? Or should he run after the sounded of hooved feet. Bouncing idly from paw to paw his claw sank into the soft earth. He could barely make out the direction of his two new friends...but the sound of hooved feet. That he could pinpoint with ease.
He would meet up with Firenze and Lavonia again. He promised himself that. He just had to find Clover. It had to be her...
With that he ran off, through the thick fog and far from his two new friends. Whom he could still hear as but whispers through the fog. Perhaps they would notice he was gone? Maybe they had heard him and responded but he didn't hear a thing?
He hoped they would understand...no...they would need to understand.

He ran and ran through the mist, seeing glimpses of both Lavonia and Vicktor here and there, dashing towards and away from them playfully, seeing Lavonia creep up behind him and batting him, tagging him with a devious grin on her face. He was enraptured by that smile, and the world meant little to him, if only he could keep that smile for himself. He felt greedy for it, would give anything for it. He never noticed Vicktor disappearing into the fog, not while she was around.
He was running away from her, minding that he was just out of her reach, when he heard her start crying frantically. His heart clenched, and he hastened to her, worried. She said that Vicktor was missing, that he left and he frowned, looking around the mist. Why would he leave? They were having such fun!
"There there, it's going to be okay." He said softly, his head low to her. "He probably left for a good reason, and maybe we just lost him. Let's try to find him, okay?"
But no. He was perfectly fine with Vicktor being lost, if it meant he could be alone with her. But she was worried about him, so they would look for him...somewhat. And when they couldn't find him, he would try to cheer her up.
He liked Vicktor, he did, honestly. But Lavonia was....Lavonia. Perfection. Everything. He didn't need anything else.

Her frantic cries had reached the dear coyote. Within a moments notice he was beside her. Calm, gentle and soothing words fell from his maw and eased her stress. They would try to find Vicktor, this made Lavonia more than happy. Surely they would find him in a moments notice! Though fate would say otherwise. Searching through the thick mist, not a soul would be found other than their own.
She really liked Vicktor, adored him even. Despite how little time had past since they had known each other. Maybe because he was one of the first voices she had heard? Perhaps one of the first faces she had seen? Or maybe it was just simply fate. But she had Firenze at least, he was kind and sweet. So warm and loving too! He was in appearance quite different from Vicktor. He wasn't a feline after all. But he was perfect and all the same to her. But still, he was no Vicktor and he could only fill a void as much as he could.
As they searched for what seemed like hours, she had quickly given up hope. Driving herself nearly to the edge of tears again. Only Firenze would not allow a single tear to fall. He would fix this, he was so sweet after all.

They searched.
And searched.
And searched some more. Vicktor was nowhere to be found. And the longer it went on, the more Lavonia became upset, and the more frustrated Firenze became. Why was she so upset over him when there was a perfectly good friend right next to her? Jealousy of the handsome jaguar crept into his heart, but he kept it out of his expression. He tried to talk to her all the while, asking her questions, giving her funny stories of things he'd seen, but if she even cheered out of her downbeat state, where her shoulders were hunched and she only stared with hopeless determination into the fog, she quickly fell out of it.
Then, Firenze had an idea. "There's...a place I think you'd like to see, Lavonia. A really pretty place. One as pretty as you are. I think you would really like it!"
She looked at him, paying some sort of attention, but he could see the dismal look in her eyes.
"....And Vicktor might be there..." He offered quietly. At that, her ears perked up and her head lifted, and she agreed.
So they were on their way to Pisces, with Firenze trying as hard as possible to keep her mind off the gem she was missing.
