"Speech" @Khloros

Khloros didn't reply and instead just turned away. The little fox gazed longingly for awhile into Canis, looking at the odd bone piles which still held so much exploration and so many secrets too, Todd reckoned. He wanted to go back, and he raised a paw briefly, only for him to realize that the pleasant clop-clopping of hooves was getting quieter in the tunnel behind him.

The little fox made a quick decision and bounded after the horse who'd quickly become lost in the darkness. He galloped on, following the hoofbeats, his ears pricked up.

And just like a ghost, like the lives of the thousands of creatures who'd been and died in Canis before him, it faded away from view. The lantern light from the cave flickered as Todd drove into the dark tunnel, chasing the sound of fading hoofbeats.
