"Dye and jewelry, get 'em here!" Azure called out.

She had a couple dyes--simple stuff; some Starlight and Creator's Glare. Neither bottle held enough left to fully coat someone, but a few markings, those she could Affix. And some necklaces, too: four pendants on long cords, each made of a Preserved little pansy-like flower blossom encased in Summoned gemstone. One stone was black-violet, shot through with a speckling of Baubled fragments like stars, the flower at its center. The second entire stone glowed an eerie neon green--the Glare dye spread throughout it--which seemed brighter against dark surfaces. The third was a light purple stone and the fourth, bright, clear diamond baubled to glow with pale white light--each with a flower inside. And each gemstone had a tiny loop formed right at the top for the cords.

"I've got some colors, too! Black and bone, glow and pink, orange and blue! I can make your dye permanent! All I ask is cool stuff to make more jewelry with!" She liked to create, and it seemed a fair trade--an affixed dye or jewelry traded for materials to make more. It'd make everybody happy.

Hunter's eyes lit up as he happened across the little flea-market of sorts. At first, he had been hoping to get something for his child, but the Collector's price was... Unfortunately out of reach, for one, but also... It kinda sounded like Hunter would end up with another kid on his hands, and it was one thing with someone he knew, another thing entirely for some stranger with a booth that seemed to be collecting baby-making magic and stones en masse.

It wasn't his business, he had reminded himself patiently, as he focused on what others had to sell. And when he came across Azure's stall, he paused. Dye and jewelry?

"I have some dye," Hunter exclaimed, scampering his way over to Azure's bright blue stall. He reached for the bottle in a pouch tucked under his jacket, and pulled it out: the titanium dye gleaming with shimmering, rainbow hues in the soft light of Orion.

"Would you be able to affix it to my hair?" He asked eagerly, raising his free hand to run through the darker, brown locks on top of his head. "I didn't want to waste the dye, but I didn't know anyone who could-- Could you?" His excitement ran over his tongue as he leaned forward, tail whipping back and forth like a worked up puppy.

Azure beamed at Hunter.

It wasn't just his open expression and excited question, but the way the harmless enthusiasm seemed to entirely infuse his being--right down to a thrashing tail. She laughed brightly, the sound bubbling out.

"Yeah, of course!" she answered, easygoing. "I can do that right now, if you want-? Just--put it where you want it, and I'll magic it there. "

Then she waited, polite and patient, plodding out with clicks of claws and hind hooves from behind her market stall. She was careful not to knock over, with a brush of wings, any of her pots of dye or trinkets for sale--instead she made her way to Hunter.

Once the dye was in place, she'd mutter a brief "okay, hold still!" and get to work trying to settle it in place with her magic.

"Okay, awesome, thank you so much!" Hunter blabbered out, before realizing with a bristling of his fur that he needed to uh, apply it. Azure didn't exactly have thumbs, so what was he waiting for? He pulled the cork out of the bottle, and began to feverishly apply it to his hair.

He was lucky that he was a mustelid with flexiblity, able to twist around to work the dye in a stripe down his back. He had thought over how he wanted this to look for a long time, and he was exceedingly careful to not spill a single drop of the dye that he had paid for at the cost of bringing together a new life.

This would be-- in addition to his jacket-- a constant reminder of his child, of the sweet, black furred kiddo he left back in Draco. His heard thudded in his rib cage as he worked the dye through his tail, using every last drop, neatly getting every inch of the dark brown fur.

His hands were stained, but he managed to avoid getting even a single fleck out of place, despite his eager haste and his trembling fingers.

"What do you think?" He beamed as he turned to her, and then, with a laugh, he held up his hands. "Um, is there any way to make it not stick to my paws, or should I, uh, try to wash this off?" If he had thought about it ahead of time, maybe he could've avoided getting any on his palms, too.

"Other than that though, I think I'm all set, if you want to give it a go?" He felt so giddy and nervous-- did it look good? He wanted to sprint off and see if it was how he imagined it, but the color was so shimmery where he could see it that he couldn't imagine it as anything but fantastical.

Azure shrugged good-naturedly.

"Wipe it off, or I can just... not hit that bit with magic!" she assured Hunter. And she watched as he applied the dye; somehow, she hadn't been expecting them to work it specifically through tail fur, too. It looked... interesting, shiny and iridescent, and she found herself nodding along with absent-minded approval.

Once the magic had been cast, she stepped back with a blue-eyed squint. "...There we go! I think it took?" She considered. "Try to wipe some out, see if it stays. It should! It looks really good on you, by the way," she added. Then her gaze picked over the jacket, which initially she'd assumed was some sort of hide. But now she could see that it was clothing--like the sort that Dip wore for working in.

"Can I ask, uhh--what that thing is?" she asked, nipping briefly and with delicate care toward the leather. "-That, there, the clothes-? It looks... thick," she observed. "And spiky."

Conversation trailed away as the day wound down. She had not had many visitors, but... at least one had gotten what they wanted.
