Wilder woke up nearly a full day later, still in the middle of the crystalline home she had made, Vaati curled up tight next to her. She had taken the day easy, now that the base for her home had been formed. There was really just a matter of making a comfortable bed and decorating to her heart's content. Once she was done, it was a pleasant little space - a makeshift bed in the corner of what plants and stray bits of fluff and fur she had gathered and baubled stone and the naturally occurring glowing crystals strung up or attached to the wall. Everything was bathed in a faint pink-purple light due to the crystals, but she found it pleasant and calming.

Now, however, was the important bit. She had left one wall of the home open and now she sat in front of it, carefully pulling off the cloth sachet around her neck. Carefully unravelling the rope and opening the small package, a number of rocks spilled onto the ground. Most of them she moved aside - her stones from Let, of whose memories she'd already delved into a number of times. Three, however, she moved forward - a rough seafoam colored rock, a smoother pink and gray one, and the snowflake obsidian that Tenzin had gifted her.

She swallowed heavily, tail whipping nervously behind her. She didn't say anything, but Vaati could feel her apprenhension clearly, so her pressed against her flank. His comfort, however, wasn't what she needed, though he could offer little else. This was another unknown, that she was diving into for a second time. But would she do it right, this time? Would it go the same way or would she find what she'd always wanted more then anything else?

She shook her head. Delaying it wasn't going to help. She placed a paw on the green stone and closed her eyes, feeling a piece of her flowing through the pawpad that touched the cool, rough surface. She felt her heart jump into her throat and she could barely surpress a shiver down her spine. The flow of magic jumped for a moment as her nerves kicked in again. It was exciting, yes, but she could not feel truly happy about this when images of Kass and Regalia and Bauble flashed through her mind.

I'll do better. I'll do better. I'll do better. With that in mind, she finished the spell and pulled away, panting, opening her eyes as she pushed the stone against the wall so it could form properly, tucked away and safe.

The second - the pink and gray stone. Oddly, it reminded her of herself. She'd found the stone while wandering Andromeda and wondered if it had come from a Lesser from around or if it had been left here long, long ago, if this cave had ever been open to the ancient Gembound.

Nerves again struck her, but the flow of magicka was uninterrupted this time, pressing into the pink stone gently until she felt it welling with life. She moved it against the wall as well, a distance away from its sibling so that they could grow independently.

At the third one she paused. She stared at it for a moment, the smooth black white-speckled surface, the question of Tenzin echoing in her head asking her if she would give it family. Because...yes, this wasn't just about her. This wasn't just about trying out being a mom again, righting some past wrongs, trying to put some good in the world, or whatever else she could come up with. This was about giving someone else another chance. Giving them life and a family of their own.

She had always wanted to help people.

Closing her eyes again, she pulled the obsidian close and this time, there wasn't hesitancy in the magic. There was no interruption or holding back. Her magic struck deep into the black crystal and expanded warmly until it was almost like it, too had a heartbeat of its own, in synch with hers. She found herself purring softly against it for a few moments after before she moved it to its place against the wall as well, giving it its own space to grow.

With all three chrysalis set, Wilder took a step back, feeling exhaustion once again. Once she had this place fully and properly set up, oh man she was going to look forward to the most restful sleep of her life.

She watched the chrysalis for a moment more, sending them her hope and love so that they might grow strong, before she turned to exit, intending on finding herself a quick meal before returning for a well-deserved nap.
