The kick hit him for sure, and it did knock him off and away, but Deli was in that state of complete loss of reason that he didn't seem to care. He'd let the frenzy kick in and he was throwing himself back, a flurry of teeth and claws that bounced harmlessly off the scale-mane.

Once he was off, Shida staggered back, a little alarmed by how quickly the pain in her shoulder was mounting. It was feeling hot and swollen already, even after just a few seconds from dislodging his teeth. She glanced at it and yes, the swelling was already starting. It was going to get infected, or worse.

She turned back, just as the dog was coming at her again, a frenzy of claws and teeth, and simply turned her head away, letting all the blows fall harmlessly on the scaled mane. "Dude. You're fucking crazy," she snarled as she suddenly reared back, kicking out with her front, hooved legs right at his face again.

He was confused why she wasn't crying out in pain, and he was also confused about the texture of the mane. Was it not fucking fur? No, it was more like hard plates and his claws were quite literally just. Bouncing off.

He snarled and pulled back, eyes still burning with rage, scoffing at the comment. "FUCK YOU." It wasn't an insult he cared about, but he wasn't taking that shit right now. He gathered magic in his hand and slashed forward again, this time letting his claws bounce right off the scales, but this time it was to let spores puff right in her face. Bet she didn't see that coming.

From the state he was in, Shida didn't think the canine would be making a lot of rational decisions, so she didn't exactly see a problem with the lash out towards her mane, but it still sparked some suspicion. Why aim directly for her scaled chest?

So, just in case, she leaned back, not allowing the claws to even touch her, and she noticed a second later that that was probably for the best. She could see faint iridescent speckles in the air - disease or maybe some other magical effect? Either way, she wasn't going to be breathing that in.

The fire blazed as she moved back. Fuck. FUCK. Fuck this stupid cat horse thing!! Deli could only see the spot on her shoulder where he'd bit her, but otherwise she was standing stong and uninjured. He needed to change that.

It threw its entire body forward without thinking anything through, intending on wrestling her to the ground, biting and scratching whatever flesh he could get his claws and teeth on.

She barely noticed that her breathing had turned into a harsh panting, she could only focus on the burning sensation that was spreading across her body. It was making her feel heavy and stiff by this point. She grit her teeth, rolling her shoulder back, but it only sent another jolt of pain through her body. Did this dog have fucking venom?

The jolt distracted her long enough that she wasn't prepared enough for Deli's sudden and violent assault. She went down with a cry, snapping at them and kicking her feet futilely, trying to get a hold on them and fight back against the frenzy he was unleashing on her, but she couldn't find purchase. She hissed and roared and writhed under him, but she couldn't get him off.

He was smart about it, dodging the spines and the beating wings and grabbing onto places where the plates wouldn't protect her and opened a number of small wounds, trying to make a grab at her face to force the spores into her system, but a bad lunge, the magic gathering in his palm, got his hand right in line for a bite and he quickly pulled it back out of instinct.

Too late to stop the magic, though. Not all the way.

With his hand now pushing spores towards himself, he really couldn't help but breath a few of them in, and almost instantly, the room started melting a bit and his body felt like it was being filled with helium.

"Fuck!" he spat, shaking his head to get it out.

Everything hurt now. The pain in her shoulder was getting worse by the second, but she wasn't fucking giving in. Determination was the fuel she ran on now, biting and bucking and trying to get him off until he suddenly froze up, sucking in a breath right after she managed to nip a finger. She stopped for a second, confused, and watching his eyes dilate a bit.

Uh. Okay.

She saw the opening and tried to take it, lunging forward with her head to slam against his face, but fuck. She was still held down and she misjudged the distance. Her head slammed back onto the floor, now sending pain to her head too. That was just fucking great.

Colors were blurring together and changing, shapes weren't making sense, but still Deli was determined to fucking get this stupid hybrid to apologize to him. And if that meant forcing The Horrors onto both of them, so be it.

With a snarl, his hand slapped forward towards her mouth, trying to cover it with his palm to force the spores down her throat. "You...are gonna fucking...apologize!"

The hand came down again and Shida didn't take the time to think, lashing forward to sink her teeth into the offered palm, but it was slapping down across her face before she could get a grip on it. And this time, there was no avoiding the strange dust-like substance from going right in her throat.

She coughed, trying to expel it, but it was too late. Her body, which was already overheating from fever caused by the venom, started to feel even worse, a cold shiver taking over as her vision started to blur.

She was starting to shut down now - not to the point of death, but she was giving into the combined efforts of venom and hallucinogens and the fight was fading from her limbs. She growled, trying to push herself back to defiance, but she wasn't strong enough. Still, she could spit out, as soon as he took his hand away, "Never."
