The moment waves suddenly rose up from the water Arkrael sucked in a breath. How could she fall for such a trick! Just as it seemed the water was going to strike against her it suddenly swept Vazi away and Arkrael fell back on her haunches. She stared with wide eyes as Vazi soon surfaced, sputtering with water as he now floated for the time being. It wasn't long before Arkrael fell into a fit of hysterical laughter. Falling back onto her back as her front legs crossed over her chest while the back legs seemed to kick out in her amusement.

When she heard the stag pull himself free of the water, Arkreal tried to stiffle her laughter as she rolled to her side hiding her muzzle between her legs. She watched as he trotted right on over to her before promptly shaking the water off to fly and splash all over her. "Hey!!" She protested, her voice filled with mirth. Audit's jumped up the moment Vazi suddenly sprinted away and as if on instinct Arkrael lunged from her spot. Claws dug into the ground and she was soon bolting right after him, racing across Eridanus to catch her prey. A happy grin remained on her features as she continued to make chase of the love of her life. "YOu get back here!! I'm not done with you!" She howled to him, laughing as she did so.

The stag could hear Arkrael calling behind him but he simply laughed. There was no way that he was going to stop yet. He pulled upon his magic and could feel energy pouring into his body via the water that was sucked into his pores. He felt rejuvinated and like he could run forever. "Sorry, sweetheart, you will have to catch me!" He called back with a laugh before putting on a new burst of speed. His long legs carried him easily over the ground. He felt that he could run forever but what would be the fun in that?

He slowed and looked around, knowing that time as of the essence. Arkrael would be on him in a moment so he would have to think fast. He saw what he needed in a large mushroom. Not exactly Monarch quality but it was still decently large, about five feet from the ground. He tensed the muscles in his legs then leaped, easily making it to the top of the shroom. There he crouched and waited for Arkrael to show up, hopefully she wouldn't notice him there.

Muscles shifted and rippled beneath soft obsidian and silver fur. Paws raced over the moss and through the tall grass and ferns that made up all of Eridanus. Vibrant multi-colored eyes searched as she ran, seeking out the tail end of the prey of her hunt. A wild grin split across her features as she leaped over a rather large fern only to come jerking to a halt so suddenly that her claws gashed divots through the moss. Nostril's flared as she swung her head side to side. Vazi's scent had suddenly changed, disappearing into one spot.

Quickly she looked, circling around the area as she sniffed and snuffed around the last place his scent trail had ended. Oh he was definitely a crafty one this stag. A smirk marred her features as she quickly back tracked for a moment and made a large circle as if making sure he had not back tracked his own trail before taking off in another direction. when nothing came up and her usually useful nose could not catch a thing Arkrael snorted and quickly made her way back to the end of his scent trail. Keen eyes pierced through the area, searching as she kept herself low to the ground. Her body was now running on instincts, completely still as she attempted to find and hunt down her beloved stag. It was probably the most fun she had in a long while and she was more so glad it was with Vazi. "You can't hide forever!" She barked out to him, desperately trying to keep her tail from wagging.

He crouched there, waiting, for his lovely girlfriend to show up from the undergrowth. He wasn't kept long before her dark form ventured out from the foliage. The stag smiled to himself as he watched her but he dared not say a word, he scarcely breathed. His Arkrael was a great hunter and if he let his guard down she would surely located him. It was nerve wracking to watch her sniff and look around for him. All it would take would be her lifting her head to see him but fortunately he wasn't located. It seemed that he had been crafty enough to get away.

The stag slowly stood up and searched for a place to land. He saw a spot a couple of feet behind Arkrael and he bunched his muscles then leaped. However, his kind were not made for quiet landings but for speed and his heavy thud was most likely noticed by his beloved. If it hadn't been then his laughter afterwards certainly was. His rose onto his hind legs and boxed with his forehooves in the air. "Naturally! The mighty stag never hides for long!" He remained lifted in the air for a moment as he watched Arkrael closely, wondering what she would do to properly punish him for getting her wet. He couldn't wait.

Muscle tensed when there was a sudden thud, but as it was followed by laughter Arkrael quickly turned around and set her gaze upon the stag she was after. A grin tore across her features as she crouched her front half down in a bow, all the while her tail wagged freely in the air. As he boasted how a mighty stag never hid for long, Arkrael couldn't help but laugh. However, she did suddenly rush him. Paws dug into the ground, propelling her forward until she was only a breath away from him. And with a sudden large grin booped her nose against his belly. "Tag!" She nearly howled as she only took a moment to let him register what had just happened before she spun around sprinted away from him as quickly as she could. If he wanted to play chase, then she would turn it into a game of tag.

Laughter sang from the wolfess as she ran through the tall ferns and grass. Hopefully she would get a good distance between them so she too could hide and then jump out at him. With that in mind Arkrael was eager to run faster and when she felt like it was a good time to dive under a larger fern, she did so. And there she suddenly remained motionless, not even her chest rising and falling with her once heavy breathing. It was there she waited, heterochromia eyes searching and peering out from beneath the fern bush to see if she would catch glimpse of him moving by.

The laughter roared from his mouth as Arkrael lowered her front to the ground in a play bow. He had almost forgotten that he was supposed to run but as he tried to turn he felt the touch against his belly. Arkrael had gotten him! Good-natured he reared up onto his hind legs and boxed the air. "Ah-ha! You better run fast! I'll get you!" With that he took after the she-wolf, long legs easily propelling him over the ground.

He came to a stop after a while of running and looked around. His antlers tilted this way and that as he turned his head, looking and scenting for the wolf. "Come out, come out, wherever you are..." He said softly to himself as he stepped slowly forward as he scanned the undergrowth. He was just about to turn and walk away when he thought he spied a darker patch of fur beneath a fer. He tilted his head downward and tried to peer underneath it and wouldn't you know? it was Arkrael! "Found you!" He yelled with excitement as he attempted to nudge underneath the fern and tag her.
