Luna's small brow furrowed when her woes were not met with sympathy- no, something stranger...

"I'm definitely considering it- but that's not why I'm here, no? I'm taking a trip to a distant land to seek the wisdom of a..." The description she had received was Goat-man. "An ancient being, deep within the bowels of the cave of bones. There, I will be given the strength to look forward. Abandoned by fate, and then redeemed by it - I understand you don't believe in such things, Knight Cyneweard, but I hope you can grasp the... The symmetry I seek."

She leaned forward as he leaned away, hoping to hold the knight hostage a little longer. "And what do you hope to find? What are you looking for?"

...Was she talking about Canis? The last he heard that cave was infested with order. [He considered warning her but decided against it, he didn't really want this conversation to last much longer, if he were to be completely honest.] But.. maybe this 'ancient' being could help him. If this wyrm was being truthful, and not over-dramatic like she seemed to have a penchant for.

The word 'symmetry' caused him to grimace in disgust at the way it resonated with something in him, the sick part. The part of him veined with clearstone- yearned for symmetry, like the mesmerizing vision he'd seen just before re-emerging in Eridanus.

"I don't know. " He spoke sharply, "My first plan fell through, so I guess I have to try something else." He wouldn't leave just yet, but he'd pick up his battleaxe, leaning on it like it was a deadly, oversized walking stick. "But I will find it. I just need time." Time that he might not have.

Well, she wouldn't be leaving here with a friend. She considered asking Cyneweard for specifics, wondering where his stone would end up if this illness did manage to best him - a plain gembound yes, but one not without future potential. Sometimes a bit of blunt practicality was necessary, she imagined.

Unfortunate. I wish you luck in finding a new path. A paw rummaged through her pouch again. "A berry for the road?"

He'd sigh. He didn't like feeling like this. Not just the sensation of foreign thoughts buzzing in the back of his mind but also this.. spiteful anger. This exhaustion. Not just from lack of sleep but from this conversation. From having to deal with ALL of this. Of seemingly never getting a break. He didn't want to take it out on the silkwyrm but it was hard not to, especially when her words seemed to needle right into his skin.

Maybe they'd meet again, when they were both doing better, and have a conversation where he didn't want to tear his fur out.

"Same to you." He'd nod curtly. "And sure. Thank you." He'd crouch down, ready to Receive Berry.

Berry Recieved. She ploinked it delicately into the warrior's palm.

They were different, yes - in the moment Luna had designated the Knight the label of simpleton. He had not made an effort to understand her, and had been quite rude and dismissive. She was new to both of these feelings, and while she was ready to ignore everything Cyneweard had told her, her mind would do otherwise; Dutifully storing this experience for later use.

And, who knows, maybe later development. Considering the dubious character she'll meet immediately after this, probably not.

"I hope you find a cure, truly - or the strength to recover. Whichever finds you first." All death was a great shame, in the end. Inevitable, yes, but a shame.
