Her body lowered slightly to the ground, stalking the cave rabbit in front of her. Slowly she stalked forward, keeping herself hidden in the shadows. For a few moments she waited, stalking and getting closer until she was ready to pounce.

However as soon as she pounced, the rabbit bolted. She was too high in her jump to be able to right herself and instead just landed on the ground where the rabbit used to be. She huffed softly as she righted herself, watching as the rabbit scrambled through a small opening that she knew she wouldn't fit in. "Fucker...." She muttered to herself, taking a moment to sit there in annoyance.

Jackson was on the prowl, sprinting around at a very random but leisurely place. Enjoying the newfound freedom of this world he found himself in. The young pup, who self named himself as far he was aware; was simply having himself a fun ass time and doing the best that he could. That today meant that he was out exploring the vast lands within the tunnel system of one of the many areas he'd yet to explore. Having no clue how vast the world before him was, Jackson was simply content living as is. Carefree and learning as he went. A bit shocked he hadn't found anything yet outside of meals and the likes of nature. The lightly greyed pup with his emerald green eyes were prowling around mindlessly; hungry but not starved. However he caught wind of something fleeing and with his luck, was already sprinting down an intercept path! It smelled yummy and he figured now was a good a chance as any to try his luck. So catching sight of the moving grass, already sprinting; he met it on its path and went for a pin!

Just barely did he manage to get his paws on the furry rabbit as it passed by him before his small might before he clamped down and firmly sunk his teeth into the cave rabbit's neck. Ending it as peacefully as he could allow before licking his teeth and letting out a slightly happy howl before he noticed something on the wind, another scent? Another wolf??

As she sat there in annoyance, she almost didn't notice the wolf off in the distance catching the rabbit that she had missed. Her ears perked up at the sound and she quickly scrambled to her feet, padded out toward the sound and connecting scent. Sure enough, there was another wolf, sitting there with HER RABBIT.

Little fucker.

She totally helped out, the rabbit was tired from her own attack, that was the only reason he caught it. You're welcome. She huffed softly, flicking her tail behind her in annoyance. I ran it towards you. She lifted her head slightly, trying to make herself feel better about her own failures because of course this little shit couldn't have been better than her at something as simple as hunting.

Jackson was as proud as he could be! He was proving to himself that he was competent and able bodied given his young and small frame. Something in him told him he'd be even better as times moved forward but for now he was in his youthful prime and started to match and understand just how he was fitting into the world. Knowing and understanding his place almost flawlessly starting to the basics of the delicate balance that was life and death. Though the smells were always on the wind, he had never smelled another wolf this close before. Curious, he tilted his head as she became visible and scrambled towards him. Seeing her just over the small horizon of a hill that must of separated them in terms of line of sight, he tilted his head more curious than defensive.

She was unique in a way, a way he wasn't yet able to describe. Something about the look on her face made him think this was going to be a problem. That coupled with the seemingly frustrated nature of her body language. Was she upset at him?

Watching her walk over, the slightly smaller pup sat, waiting with a wonder on if this would be a weaselly encounter or a more mundane one. Hearing her tone finally escape her maw, he blinked in a sense of confusion at first. "T-thaaank you?" He said rather questioningly before he looked down to examine and smell his kill. For all intents and purposes, she didn't seem to do anything and the rabbit seemed like he had plenty of gas in the tank; but what did he know? For all he knew it could of been faking. She spoke with a slight level of confidence but he still wasn't sold. "I really can't tell what it was that you did but if you truly did help out. You should have half with me at least, it's only fair." He said assuring and brightly, as if happy to share the hard work and efforts of the pair, as if already sternly convinced on a sense of equality. Still he was equally convinced he did the heavier part of the work as he didn't understand why she gave up so easily on 'her kill'; he simply put his paws on the rabbit's hind legs and gingerly started to separate it so they both could have a fill.

Stopping for just a moment he looked up. "What's your name?"

She raised an eyebrow at him, curious as to why he was sharing. If she hadn't have missed her fucking pounce, she wouldn't have shared with him. She thought about it for a moment before huffing and shaking her head. Nah, don't worry about it. Eat up. She settled down into a sit, trying to keep her body calm and relaxed when all she wanted to do was continue exploring and running around, not sit here and talk to a newly hatched child. Was she said newly hatched child not that long ago? Yes. Did that stop her from thinking otherwise? Nope.

She flicked her gaze around for a moment, only looking back over at him when he asked her name. Eira. She said simply, a small smile crossing the edges of her lips, though she would deny it if asked. And you? She figured she might as well learn more of this dude, if nothing else.

"If you are sure but please don't hold it over my head that you were not given your fair chance at half for the supposed work you put in." His tone was not bitter or jesting in any manner. Rather very matter of fact at the natural existance of him trying to do the right thing given her protest at him not doing all the work. "Still I apprecaite meeting someone, it's been a while and I began to wonder if I was alone outside of prey to be had and the dangers that lurk around us. I smell things on the rise, but yours is the first I've met somewhat akin to my onw." Clearly this pup was simple and yet bold.

Chowing down for a few bites before swallowing and doing a small back and forth pounce to emote how exited and tasty this is. The pup yelped in glee before eating what was his share. "Eira." He says as if testing it like the food but for how it taste. "It has a very beautiful ring to it, simple yet elegant and bold. Like a warrior." He nodded before he licked his teeth as if the taste was finally understood. "I believe my name is Jackson, at least that's the name that comes up in my head when I think about myself. I'm really not all that focused on much beyond exploring, understanding and getting to find out what it is life has to offer me." He yet again nodded before sitting in wonder. "I have not thought about much besides hunger since I recall my first moments....if you could Eira, please tell me what you've found of this world so far and what it has to offer."

She dipped her head slightly in a nod, watching him for a moment. A small smirk crossed her lips as he called her name bold, warrior like and she found herself lifting her chin slightly clearly proud. Nice to meet you, Jackson. She said simply, watching him eat for a moment before glancing around at his question.

To be honest, I don't know much, this whole place seems to be various caves and tunnels, even those that don't look like it, still is. She turned her attention back to him. We have different abilities, things we can do, I'm sure you have something as well. Maybe try it? She offered, though there wasn't really any she could show or explain how to do it.
