Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Eve said she could have them both!!
Ash grinned from ear to fluffy ear as the crow asked her if there was anything else-- and she flapped her wings hard, trying to summon an answer for Eve.
The resulting echo was a two-part picked out piece from Eve's own noisy beak. It was a bit louder than the surprisingly calm, motherly bird had been, but her voice was unmistakable from the mimicry.
"Like-- You!"
The cry escaping from her rear-attached flappers, she hopped closer and nuzzled into Eve, chuffing happily. She even tried-- awkwardly-- to preen the lovely bird, just to show how thankful she was.

Ash wasn't particularly hungry, but she absolutely loved hunting. The noodle nodded in reply, wiggling back away from Eve to scoop up her feathers. She tucked them into her mane, getting them tangled in so she wouldn't lose them, and then she stared up brightly at Eve.
She didn't try to speak this time as she flapped her wings-- no. This time she was trying to summon wind so she could take flight, and so that Eve too could fly. Then they could go hunt together, a pair of innocent enough birds doing bird things.
The wind pulled up underneath her as she flapped, her butt raising gloriously into the air, but the rest of her body was too heavy. She flapped there for a while, looking like an exaggerated stalking cat with wings, ass up head down...
And ready to rock and roll. (YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!)

Eve didn't like hunting - especially after she realised that she did it better while high on whatever stuff that one fox gave her one time. She kind of wanted to try it again but the fox seemingly went missing after they totally blazed it.
She took to the air with the little hybrid, almost frantically flapping around. She found that her efforts to hunt were actually okay today - she spotted a rabbit cleaning it's face and swooped down towards it. She was surprised to find that it put up a bit of a fight, but after a little bit of a struggle she was standing on it's limp body, looking towards Ash.
Ash stared at the rabbit as she scampered to catch up with Eve. The crow had dive-bombed an unsuspecting rabbit in the mist, and killed it with hardly any trouble at all. It was Tunnel Runner, a brownish furred critter with swirling, vibrant green markings that glowed faintly in the mist.
If she could make any sort of noise besides a pathetic wheeze, she would have in that moment. The noodle hybrid bounded over to the prey and sniffed at it, wiggling with anticipation.
Eve gave her a look that said, 'well go ahead', as far as Ash was concerned, and she grabbed the fluffy bunny and began to tear into its belly, shredding into the tasty organs that she liked the best.
But Ash noticed something as she went to eat it and she stopped, muzzle messy with blood. The glowing green markings on the creature were fading away with it's death, and that was no good. She looked up indignantly at Eve, knowing with absolution that the bird could fix it.
She wheezed again, pawing at the fading swirl of fur, pouting up at her new temporary mother figure.

The crow tilted her head. She had made corpses glow before - months ago now, when she first met Dragon and... 'improved' his pile of dead things. She recalled the smell - it was so strong even she could smell it.
Before the crow could vomit with the recollection of Dragon's Pile of Awesome, she hobbled forth., talon extended as she touched the fur of the dead rabbit with her gemstone glowing. The touch caused the carcass to flood with light, glowing dimly.
She nodded a little and waited for Ash to finish before she began to pick at the scraps.
Ash beamed as Eve understood her as naturally as her best friend Eos-- what had happened to that big deaf horse anyway? Her mind swept to worse images as the bird picked at the remains of the carcass, her ears twitching as she remembered something she dearly wished to forget.
Aza'zel tore a cat apart before her eyes and she couldn't help but visualize Eve doing the same thing. She wanted to keep the remains safe, though for what purpose she didn't understand just yet. She held back as much as she could before she put a paw forward and drew the head towards herself, playing absently with the floppy ears.
Maybe she could save the fur? The bones she didn't want to have so much, they reminded her too much of the nightmares at home, but the fur shimmered so pretty with Eve's magic. She scooped what was left of the rabbit once she was sure Eve wouldn't mind too much and hauled it on to her back, where her wings could keep it balanced.
Then she grinned up proudly at her birb mom, ready for the next fun thing to do.
Eve glanced at the hybrid who was now wearing the food - or at least part of the food, but the crow decided to shrug it off. "I guess you're not that hungry, then?"
A small talon lifted to scratch the side of her head as the crow thought quietly to herself. "How about a game?" she asked.
