Tamelyn had been walking with her head held high ever since the lights had been restored. Sure, others had been responsible for bringing down the dam, but
she had been first to investigate the machine,
she had figured out the connection between the turbine and the river, and
she had come up with the idea to use magic on the golem dam. It was true that that plan had resulted in an influx of new, magic-hungry golems, but hey. Win some, lose some. Needless to say, Tamelyn now considered herself just a little bit of a hero.
While she felt more-inclined to frequent the forested caverns, with their plentiful browsing and strange familiarity, she also had a special fondness for Orion. The sparkly gems overhead were now set off by the gentle glow of lamps hanging in the buildings and streets, creating a wonderfully placid atmosphere. If Tamelyn had had any concept of times of day, she would have compared it to a perpetual dusk, with both the yellow glow of lamps and the white sparkle of "stars" to keep the darkness at bay.
At the moment, however, she was here to do more than sight-see. Nyx had tracked her down, asking her to come to Orion in a few days for something. Tamelyn wasn't sure what, but she was happy to help Nyx however she could.
A raucous clattering of hooves on stone announced the arrival of the "Thunderhoof", as Tamelyn now often called herself. She spied her friend and galloped over, bleating to grab her attention.
"Hiya Nyx! Hiya...um...Not-Phoenix." She couldn't remember if she had ever gotten the funny-looking bird's name before, though she recognized him from their quest at the dam. Tam looked back at the other fawn, tailing flicking.
"So wha' are we here for?"
