The walk to the stream was actually short, so xerxes was happy. He didnt want to go very far on his new, baby legs nor did he have much of an attention span really. But when they got there, xerxes was still focused on what they were doing and followed cure to the waters edge where she beckoned him from. He looked down at the water and blinked at himself before a huge grin grew on his face. wow! We almost look the same! he couldnt really see her spots, but they were both black and thats all xerxes really cared about. Their eyes were both blue, too, but his were much darker than her brighter blue.

Cute giggled as she swatted at the water, watching their images distort in the small waves caused by the assault. "We do! Except my eyes are a prettier shade of blue! It was a playful tease towards the new cub as she quickly swiped water at him. Cute jumped away from him, just to make sure he would not splash her back and gave a wild tooth filled smile. Are you hungry!? I can ask Rae to go hunting! I can't hunt yet. I hurt my ribs. So auntie Rae does it for me! I bet she'll hunt for you too!"Her excitement at having a new friend was definitely helping her get back into her more rambunctious state.

Swatting at the water made him pull back from his reflection and laugh at it before looking at cure when she spoke. thats cause youre a girl! he laughed, grinning at her afterwards. hey! xerxes was quick to splash water back at her, though she jumped away just in time to miss his attack. He was about to charge at her playfully when she asked him if he was hungry and he stopped and thought. yeah! Her smile grew when Xerxes said he was hungry. She had to admit she was too. After going days without much of an appetite she was sure glad to be getting it back. Rounded ears splayed to The side when he questioned her ribs and Cure's gaze moved to look at her left side. "A meanie butthead deer hurt me. He's the one that brought me here. See. My family lives in a different cavern. I don't know much about this place. But Rae saved me! She and Cayenne have been looking after me," She blabbered on for a moment before finally shaking her thoughts away. "Let's find Rae!" She giggled excitedly before she pivoted and bounce away back towards the den. That would be a good place to start looking for the wolfess.

thats not very nice! he frowned at cure, upset that something would do that to her, or anyone rather. What was a deer, anyway? It didnt sound very nice now that she mentioned it and he hoped said deer would steer clear of the two of them. He disnt want to encounter it ever and he certainly hoped cure didnt have to again either. yeah! Lets go! he smiled then, eager to meet this arkael and also grab a bite to eat! Cure moved happily through the fern bushees, eagerly heading towards the den where Arkreal surely was. At least she hoped the wolfess would be there. She glanced over her shoulder a couple times just to make sure Xerxes was still following her. Finally she was at the den and she wiggled with joy as she poked her heead into the opening. "Rae! Raaae! Are you here?!" she called out, but to no avail did she receive an answer. She huffed as shee moved further into the den and looked around. No Arkrael. She huffed before turning and leaving the den and lookeed around. "She's not here. Maybe she's already out hunting," She hummed thoughtfully before looking to Xerxes with a grin. She was just about to say something before movement caught her attention and a loud thump made her look to the side. "Rae!" She beamed happily as she instantly got up to her paws and padded over to the giant wolfess that was now looking on curiously, a small fawn at her paws. She rubbed against the front of her legs and purred happily. "Hi! Is that for me?!" She grinned excitedly.

The hunt had went well and Arkrael was already heading back towards her den. Upon her return she found that Cure was out of the Den and a new little cub was with her. She dropped her kill, instantly drawing Cure's attention before the little cub came right over and affectionately rubbed along her legs. She laughed softly at Cure's question as she sat back on her haunches. "Yes, who is your little friend?" She smiled down at the cub before turning her gaze towards the red horned gembound. He smelt fresh, the lightly familiar scent of the fresh juices of a Chrysalis. "The catch is big enough for two, if you are hungry as well little one," She offered the meal to the new cub as well.

They walked and walked until they got to a den where cure called and xerxes waited. He was patient - sitting on his rump and flicking his tuftless baby lion tail around, waiting for this arkrael to appear. Finally the wolfess appeared and xerxes stood, smiling loosely at the wolf and carcass. He wrinkled his nose at the sight, but cure seemed awfully excited so he didnt snub his nose at the meat. The wolf spoke to him then, detering his attention from the carrion and to the wolf. xerxes! he grinned at the wolf then. if she likes it, ill try it. he was skeptical... Cure giggled at Xerxes' response to Arkrael and she grinned back at him. "You're a cat! like me! You'll like it. Come eat," She ushered him on before she turned her attention back to getting her own fill. Plopping back on her rump and licking her chops clean after she was done she grinned up at Arkrael as the She-wolf sat before them. "Xerxes and I want to go exploring! would that be okay?" She asked sheepishly. She didn't know if Xerxes really did want to go exploring, but hopefully he would agree so long as Aunti Arkrael was okay with it considering she was still not fully healed just yet.
