Zen pounced and ran through Pisces going to the different locations inside. She was becoming more of a nuisance and a hyper bad girl. It was in her nature to be a little bouncy, hyper/boundless energy and a thief. The young gembound had no good influences or someone to teach her things. She didnt know where she was going or who she would run into but she soon came to the Waterfall Location where water collected into a lagoon. The lass dove in and swam around chasing the fish that were in there trying to catch one but failing ultimately. She leaped out of the water and tried figuring out how to catch one. Zen didnt know that there was a big gembound in Pisces with her.

The bear had taken notice of the splashing in the nearby lagoon and poked his head out, hoping to see one of his children thrashing around in the water attempting to fish. He'd been spending a lot of time teaching them after all, and it would be a great pleasure to see them taking it upon themselves to do some hunting. Alas, as he gazed out over the surface, he found not his children - but there was a medium size Gembound splashing in the water, quick to hop back onto dry land after appearing unable to catch the fish that swam in their lagoon. The bear furrowed his brow, curious, and pushed off in a slow, casual stride towards her. "Slippery little buggers, aren't they?" Leon laughed as he loomed up from behind her.

Zen liked swimming but catching fish was still a slight challenge. Sometimes the gembound would just chase the fish just to see which ones were weaker than the others. As she looked at the waters watching them swim when someone came up behind her saying something and she turned around. The gembound stood on her hind legs looking at the big bear. "Could you help me catch one? I usually can but they are faster here it would seem." she asked.

Leon leaned back onto his haunches, standing upright in a posture that practically mimicked the otter, his front legs folded near his chest as he cocked his head and stared down at her. "Hah! Help you? I can even teach you how to catch 'em!" Leon beamed down at the otter. Fishing was... well, kind of his specialty. If the little otter wanted a fish, he would happily catch one, but Leon was in his element actually teaching someone how to fish. Well... not literally, but almost. It was more a species instinct than anything magic related. The bear pushed towards the edge of the water and lowered his chest, examining the glistening surface. "You just gotta be patient... and know when to strike! Now... let's see..."

The bear waited for a moment until a small, thin body wriggled past. Its scales glinted in the artificial light, and Leon steadied himself, preparing the perfect strike. Once it came close enough, he dashed his paw into the water, scooping the fish up and between his paws with a proud "Haha! There we go!" He laughed a deep, ursine laugh before crunching on the fish's head, ceasing its fruitless struggle, and presenting the small morsel to the otter. "How's that?"

Zen watched the bear as he said that we show her how to fish. The otter watched the bear go towards the water's edge and she followed. Her dark blue gem clinked on the ground as her tail tapped the floor as she ran. That was normal for the young girl. Zenny should have known how to hunt by now but she barely had a teacher to teach her so she normally fished on her own. The gembound didnt mind doing it alone but when the big gembound showed up, she thought she could learn from him. Watching quietly as the bear watched one of the slippery creatures glisten in the artificial light. That was when Zenny saw the bear swipe at the slippery fish catching it with ease. "Wow you are amazing at catching fish. I didnt have teacher to teach me how to fish so I had to teach myself and I did a very horrible job but I know what I did wrong thanks to you." she said. The brown otter watched Leon drop the fish to her. It was just her size. Zen placed her paws on it as she tore into its scales and flesh.

His success had landed a fat fish on the ground in front of her, and as she sat in awe of his rad skills, the bear smiled smugly and sat back, rather proud of himself. He couldn't help but modestly rub his long nails against his chest as if it was no big deal, laughing. "Aw hey, it was nothing. All you gotta do is learn how the fish move... yeah... learn their patterns. It's easy. I could teach you, if you wanted to learn more." The bear offered as he watched her dig into the fish, snickering again. He wouldn't mind having another pupil to teach to fish - his children seemed to... not be as interested in fishing as he'd hoped. But that was fine. When they were adults and had to feed themselves and their own loved ones (including Ol' Grandpa Leon, when he was too old to do it himself), they'd realize just how important fishing was. "My name's Leon, by the way. Are you new here?"

Zen continued to eat the fish while listening to the bear talk and once she was done eating, she looked at Leon. He had mentioned his name to her and that he would teach her how to catch the slipper fish. The little gembound couldnt help but take the offer to help her fish. "I am Zen or Zenny whichever you prefer. And yes I would love it if you taught me to fish. A teacher like you would be grand for a otter like me. I hatched here so its my home I guess. But I am alone here. No friends or family to talk to but I have met only you and a wolf or something like that when I first hatched. You are my first friend, my first big friend even if I donts know you that well, Mr. Leon." she said. It was true. The otter didnt really meet other gembounds which did make the adult girl a little sad and lonely.

The bear nodded, pleased that he would have another pupil to teach to fish. Another one to learn the ways of the great bear! "Oh, I didn't know you hatched here! Well... Did you know that a group of Gembounds lives here? We're called the Maji Walezi, and I'm their leader. We're like a great big family." He informed her with another nod and gestured out with his muzzle to the surrounding cave, where they were sure to at least see somebody else who was part of the group - one or two of his children were bound to be wandering around, and maybe Makyna was up near the den, or picking flowers or something. Bevy's nest was in view, the vines hanging down protecting the small gems within, and even crippled little Bartos was up and about. "If you want, you could join us. There's lots of Gembounds to make friends with here!"

Hopefully she would be into that. They could give her a rank and a job and everything! And she'd truly be part of their family. But even if she didn't want to join them, Leon would train her to fish. It was the least he could do.

Zen looked at the bear and smiled when he mentioned the group that he lead. She didnt know that a group had lived in the area then again when she hatched here and and stayed by the water catching some fish at times or getting some other type of sea creature. The little gembound never really noticed anyone to be honest. Leon asked her i she wanted to join the group Maji Walezi. "I would love to join it. Having friends and people that care about me would be the grandest thing for a little gembound like me. I can do anything you ask i you want me to. Babysitting to hunting to fighting. Whatever you may like." she said.

He smiled and nodded, taking note. "Alright! Well, what we do is hold trials for initiates to take on a rank. We have three ranks to choose from: a Scout goes out and explores the caves, doing all they can to protect the life blood of Maji Walezi and the caves - the water - as well as trying to find more Gembounds to add to our ranks. Coordinators are responsible for keeping peace in the group and communication among the group. And Guardians are responsible for protecting the group." He explained and then leaned back, looking the little otter over. "I have a feeling you could make a... A really great Scout! What do you think?"
