"Remain," the snake hybrid wheezed, half-hissing out her own words.
"Eats."
She didn't know if Morpheus would understand what she meant or not, but quite frankly, she did not
care. The only thing that she did care for was that the bat hybrid remained exactly where she had left them. The hybrid had gotten quite seriously injured the last time Marigold took them along for some hunting, and she was almost certain that it would happen again.
And even if the prey didn't turn and attack them, they would find some strange way to get injured anyway. Marigold was still unsure how they managed to get hurt last time, too, and she wasn't prepared to find out, least she has to drag them back to Eridanus.
Marigold didn't have doubts that Priest's hospitality had limits, too.
Without another word the snake hybrid began hobbling forwards deeper into Polaris, ears pricked up high on her head in the search for mice.
