The next couple days were all a blur; trying her best not to think to much on the whole matter for it just caused an aching pain in the giraffe's chest. Those things that Troy had said to her, the way she must have made him feel for not choosing to go back with him. All of it had happened to fact and Jasmine had gotten caught up in the whole ordeal that now she stood here, full of questions. Before her was the twin pools in Eridanus, gazing into one of them.

Her reflection rippled, it had been a good number of days since her acrophobia had taken hold of her. Seeing how far down the water was, she shut her eyes tightly and began to walk away. Her steps carried her til she lowered herself down onto cool moss; waiting for Gada to come out of the green. At least I have her friendship, then at least I didn't do everything wrong. And it was true, Jas felt comfort in the elephant; even if what had gone on between Gadanai and Troy was something she wasn't ready to think about just yet.

Head lifted in the elephants direction, "What should . . . should we do today?" Speaking softly, wanting to get her mind off of the matter and look forward to getting to know Gada some more. At least I have her, right?

It was weird to feel things that she felt, now. Since the whole incident, she had spent most of her time following Jasmine, watching her with no idea what to do or say. Today seemed no different, the young mammal watching from a distance that was still relatively close by. Feelings stirred. Feelings she didn't understand had a hold of her from the inside.

When Jasmine looked toward her, her eyes softened. To hear her voice again was like hearing music for the first time. She strode to Jasmine's side, concern written over every inch of her body. Her trunk fidgeted with the desire to touch her treasure, reaching out to caress her face, but hesitated with the fear that it would cause her giraffe to recoil. She had no idea how to act.

"I... I want to make you happy," she whispered. She sat down, hind legs tucked somewhat awkwardly as she settled her weight into her hind end. Her ears barely moved despite her temperature being too hot for her taste. She did not like feeling like this. She didn't get it, didn't have words for it, and it made her sick. Gadanai did another airy caress, not quite touching Jasmine, the worry still there.

To make her happy? A soft smile formed on her face, keeping those green eyes on the grey female. That is so sweet of her to say. The ache in her chest shifted as she lay there once Gada would sit down near by. Even something as simple as them both sitting together was nice; feeling that the younger one had been keeping their distance. Jasmine would lean in a little bit, to let her cheek touch their trunk. Making sure Gada knew she wasn't upset with her. Soon Jas would lean away and gaze down at the ground around them, feeling her gem glow softly as she considerate.

Flowers would begin to pop up and blossom around the pair. They were simple and plain, but beautiful all the same. "Help me make something?" Asking softly, before leaning her head down to the blossoms and gently picked a few of them. This was a lot harder to do with just her mouth, so the giraffe would just collect them for now. A small pile of formed between both of them.

Gadanai felt relief wash over her at the soft smile she gave. The ice in her heart seemed to crack a little as her cheek met Gad's trunk. She blinked at the action, then watched as Jasmine made flowers spring up all around. Her eyes went back up to Jasmine, watching her pluck the prettiest ones. Her trunk reached out and this time, she touched. The trunk ran over her mane and to her shoulder. Some kind of high made her feel dizzy while she performed the act.

Snapping herself back, Gadanai looked at the pile that was growing. She adjusted herself, laying down with Jasmine. With her fingers, she began to carefully weave the flowers together until something seemed to form. She carefully picked it up and decorated Jasmine's head with it, the flower crown almost too big for her small head. "They bring out the color of your eyes," she commented, smiling.

She had lowered her head slightly, when the crown of flowers was bestowed. It was a simple action, but the giraffe was grateful that Gada did go along with the silly idea. "They bring out the color of your eyes," Jasmine grinned a little, feeling it slip off of her head, only managing to hang on by those short horns. Maybe this day would turn out to be better then she thought, after all, why did she need to worry about the past events as long as the giraffe was safe now. "I'm sorry . . that I've been so quite." She felt bad about it, was she neglecting her job as a friend and being selfish?

"And, I'll try to be happier, for you." It was the least she could do; giving a gentle nod, as if reassuring herself. It was a new day and this room of green was to beautiful to sulk about.

Trunk found her cheek again, more caressing her with a sweetness that she hadn't used before. She reached upward and adjusted the crown so it was on Jasmine's head again. She gave a quiet rumble, then stood. "You had every reason to be quiet," she said. "The other day was... difficult for you."

Gadanai picked up the large pile of flowers and showered Jasmine with them, much like she might do for herself if it were dust. When she was thoroughly covered, the elephant curled her trunk upward, flared out her ears, and shook her head, trumpeting as she made an attempt to look silly.

Suddenly, she paused, then jogged off into the trees, shouting, "I hide, you seek!" as she disappeared into the thickets.

Before Jas could even reply, the elephant was off and into the green! Like some grey ghost, the only sign of Gada being there were how the ferns tussled about. Picking herself up to stand, eyes would begin to dart around as she tried to spy any part of her friend. My . . she is good at this! Jasmine began to enter the forest wall, calling out, "Oh where could she be . . ." already feeling her spirits lifting up. Having something to occupy her mind would do the girl some good.

There were some broken branches up ahead; as she went to inspect them it was clear they were freshly snapped. Gadanai was sure to be somewhere close by; the question was where. Lifting her head up high, trying to get a better look but it was to no avail since it was clear the elephant was hidden well amongst the plants. "Hmmmmm." For now, she would just follow the broken branches and ferns, maybe they would lead her to more clues.

She kept a good pace ahead, knowing Jasmine was surely following by now. Gadanai paused and glanced behind herself only to be dismayed when she realized she was making a friggin trail that led straight to her. So, she looked from side to side, then something caught her eye. The elephant hastily jogged along, finding herself a little clearing. She ran in and out of the trees, creating false breaks into the trees, then headed a random direction, hoping to not bump into her treasure.

Finally, a spot where a cluster of trees grew. Gadanai carefully approached the mass of growth and wiggled in between, hoping to not disturb the appearance too much before laying down, waiting to be found... or not!

There were great curiosities as she ventured forth, the path began to no longer make sense and all the broken branches appeared to become random. Was Gada onto her plan on how to track the elephant down? Clever girl. This caused a ripple of laughter as she felt more determined to find the other now! Slow steady walk became a flowing gallop through the green, "Where are you . . .", craning her neck out far. The giraffe frantically searched, hoping to find a clue.

But she found something better then a clue. Peaking through a few ferns, the color grey was trying to keep hidden from view. Ahh haa! Pushing past the remaining branches that kept a wall between the two. "I found you!" Coming up closer, she leaned down and let the flower crown that somehow managed to stay on top of her head, fall onto Gada now.

Gadanai was sure she was well hidden, but it seemed she was extremely wrong in this assumption. She smiled up at Jasmine as she pushed into the brush with her. A giggle emitted from her mouth upon the flower crown's landing on her head. She stood, grunting as she picked herself up. She wrapped her trunk around the base of Jasmine's neck and gave a gentle kiss on her chest, feeling her face turn hot before slipping away and pretending to look at something interesting elsewhere.

"It is your turn to hide, Jas," she muttered, ashamed of herself even if she still didn't see Jasmine as anything more than a lovely treasure to horde for herself. What on earth is wrong with me. Why am I acting like such a girl. She looked back up at Jasmine, red eyes trying to stare into her, trying to find answers. There's nothing that special about her... she's just a treasure.
