The way I was thinking of doing it, each character would have to check in with a successful 'hunt' thread, and one in which they're drinking, every month. Maybe they could be selfies or just any thread in general, though I feel like that'd feel too rule-heavy and maybe it'd start to get stale after a while, and hard to track. Hmmm...

Any suggestions?

Idk, one hunting/drinking thread once a month doesn't seem that bad. You could just copy-paste the posts instead of the whole thread. I talk a lot about my characters eating or drinking so ?? but I know not everyone does that... Hmm...

Okay so I'm updating this because a few days ago I had a great idea for like... "survivalist characters." I'm gonna do this with Fira for now, and when I get enough Magicka for Aura, he'll do this too. Basically here's my idea. Survivalist Characters are not necessarily Dead Is Dead. You can take it that far if you want, but you don't have to. Before you start a thread, you roll a number between 1 and 10 using this random number generator or any other that you like for each of the following:

Hunger, Thirst, Energy (sleep), Hygiene, Social (loneliness), Fun (in general, their stress level). I took these from The Sims, to be honest, but I don't really count it as stealing because... it's not like these are Trademarked things. They're just numbers associated with survival. There's no Bladder/Bathroom roll because that could get gross and I don't wanna go there lmao. I also at the end will add a Mood out of 60 points, tallied from all the numbers above. Here's an Example:

Hunger: 1 - Critical - Starving
Thirst: 2 - Very Bad - Dehydrated
Energy: 7 - Good
Hygiene: 1 - Critical - Disgusting
Social: 7 - Good
Fun: 10 - Perfect
Mood: 28/60 - Meh. But pretty bad bc starving, etc.

Here's what the numbers mean. 1 = Critical.
2 = Very Bad.
3, 4 = Bad.
5,6 = Meh/Average.
7,8 = Good.
9 = Very Good.
10 = Perfect.

For Mood, the lowest score you can get is 6, so...
6-16 = "An F" -- you're in the worst mood you could be in.
17-27 = Horrible
28-38 = Meh. Could Be Better, but you're not Terrible.
39-49 = Good.
50-60 = You're doing pretty well, and you're generally happy right now.

Just like with the rolls on-site, you cannot re-roll. Obviously, this would be on an honor system since there's no way to track how many times you rolled. Each character would react differently to different levels of Needs. Say one character is starving. Maybe they curl into a ball and cry, while a different starving character would try to hunt for their food. Lonely characters would obviously be more open to character interaction, while characters who scored Good, Very Good, or Perfect on Social might ignore another character in a thread.

In all of my Fira threads (and future Aura threads) I will be posting these scores at the top so that OOCly, everyone knows what these characters are going through. Stressed characters may start fights, or starving predatory characters may attack herbivores for food, etc.
