This will not be glamorous...it will be done quickly and too the point :'D I'm not spending a week getting it done like I did with Hasira.

Tears blurred the lioness' vision. Paws thundered over the cave's floor as they raced through tunnels with no true destination. Everything was just wrong. The vision still flashed before her minds eye. Replaying the events that would surely come to pass. The horrific scene choking her breath and causing her legs to tremble greatly. Soon the moss flooring cushioned her paws and she found herself racing through Eridanus. It was an easy task to get half way across the cavern, over the trench, and ultimately to the furthest point of the cavern before her legs finally gave out.

Sobs burst from Makyna as she fell to the ground. Huffing and panting for the oxygen her burning legs begged for. There was no way it was true. Her vision of death had to be absolutely wrong. Makyna wasn't sure how long she lay there lost to her emotions. But eventually her sorrows wore themselves out and it seemed she had no tears left to shed. Sniffling loudly, hiccuping every once in awhile, Makyna raised her head and looked around slowly. Ears twitched and moved, searching for a sound that seemed to be coming from near by.

A startled cry escaped Makyna when a large creature suddenly burst from some fern bushes. She jolted back, leaning back upon her haunches as she frantically tried to calm herself down. "Pheo?" Her shaky, broken voice came forth as she furrowed her brows in confusion at the frantically squealing dragonbat. The fluttering of his wings and his frantic sounds he was making confused Makyna the most. Since she had known the creature he was not one to go displaying such things.

Slowly she rose to her paws and stepped forth only to frown when the dragonbat screeched louder and jumped at her, as if trying to say something. She opened her mouth to say something, but the shifting of the fern bushes drew her attention once again. Makyna held her breath as she slowly moved towards the gathering of fern bushes. Pheo's franticness seemed to grow, but the lioness payed it no mind. Without hesitation makyna pushed her head into the bushes and peered at what could possibly be making the noises. Perhaps it was what pheo was trying to get her attention for.

A large form was curled up there, huddled into itself as dirt covered the creature. Blood was thick on the air now and Makyna was surprised she had not smelt it before. It wasn't fresh, but it was suffocating. She hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to make of this. "A-Arkrael? Is that you...?"

Arkrael
Ask me for my forgiveness
Choas. Darkness. Insanity. It consumed the mind of the canine. Sending thoughts spiralling, breaking and fragmenting memories until there was nothing but the ever pushing of darkness. The maddening sensation that washed over her like a sickness. The she-wolf lay tucked away into the fern bushes. Far away from where she had only cycles ago made her den. A den that was long forgotten. Only vaguely passing through her minds eye. The visions were short. Lasting only so long to only give more confusion into the darkness that was overwhelming her.

Dilated eyes stared ahead not once moving to look at anything else but the path before them. Her fur was caked with dirt and old blood. Blood that belonged to more than just one gembound. She relished in it. Had taken great pleasure in the scent that she had refused to wash it off. They would know. Every last one of them would know. Especially her. The white bitch that seemed to linger in her mind no matter what was going on. Belladonna. The doe that had been the creature to cause it all. A violent smirk curled across her features, exposing her blood stained fangs as a low, sinister cackling spilled forth in an echo. Arkrael had thought the white bitch had been the creature to fall victim to her fangs back in polaris, but no. Oh no it was even better. It was her bastard child. The child that fucking asshole Vazi created with her. And she gloated in knowing she had sent that fucker back to his lifeless gem. Both of them. She could just imagine the look on Belladonna's face when she found out.

Thoughts trailed off and a noise rose up from behind her. The screeching of the dragonbat. The familiar she only vaguely remembered connecting with. Nostril's flared immediately, sucking in the scents from all around. It was in that moment that she heard the paw steps coming closer. Hackles bristled and raised, including the fur all along her spine. A voice rose up behind her. First starting out shaky and unsure, calling her name, but in an instant it changed and warped. The voice wavered into a different voice that seemed to call to her. Mocking in laughter as it taunted her to come out. The voice that belonged to Belladonna.

A snarl ripped from her throat instantly as the fern bushes moved and within an instant Arkrael was on her paws. Twisting around and lunging at what her mind saw as Belladonna. The snarling roar filled the cavern as she moveed in with opened jowls, aiming to sink those vicious fangs deep into the flesh of the doe's neck....

In all of her cycles in the caves, all of the friends she'd made, the enemies she'd sown, the loves she'd lost... Nothing was as it was before but she knew she could always depend on her family or could have in the past. Her Leon, her children, her friends... Of late everything seemed to be gone. Everyone that she once loved had disappeared. Her teddy bear, the loss of him had nearly driven her mad and it was for this reason that she left to seek out someone, anyone that she knew. However, to happen up this, this... this... thing. She could not call it her friend, could not say it was Arkrael. It was not... The screeching thing which flew around her, the snarling beast that stalked towards her. It made her blood run cold, it told her that everything she'd once knew was a lie. When she was younger she believed there was hope in the caves but not anymore... It was tainted, everything awful and terrible. The light that had once been kindled was snuffed out to leave death and despair in its wake. What was the point anymore when everything she knew was gone? When the ones she loved turned on her...

Tried to kill her...

The fangs, she could feel them in her neck, slicing through fur and skin to pull on the crimson within. It bubbled out of the wound in her throat. It cut deep but it wasn't the physical pain which made her gasp, it was the emotional pain that went along with it. A childhood friend, the one who'd made her the wedding tiara, that tiara which was now sitting alone in her old den. It was a testament to her old life... a testament to weakness.

Makyna could have laid down then, laid down and let the wolf consume her but she could not. Would not. Something within her screamed for her to fight back, something within her would not give in. The same as when she would not let her grudge go, when she hunted Cancer to the ends of the caves. It rose fervently in her now, refusing to let her be taken.

An anger rose in her chest and she pushed back. She would not die this way. If the caves would be harsher then she would be harsher... She would rise against it and become more. Her mind and body cried out as she swiped with her claws at the only friend she had left in the caves. It tore her heart in two but she would not be killed, not this way.

Arkrael
Ask me for my forgiveness
Laughter continued to torment her mind. A laughter that only she could hear. Belladonna's It fueled her, pushed her on and as Arkrael's fangs had sunk home a crazed enlightenment suddenly filled her. Just thinking about hearing Belladonna's gurgling last words sent shivers straight down to her gut. Arkrael pushed her weight into the bite, hoping to force the doe off her hooves, but suddenly something hard struck into her.

A snarl ripped from the she-wolf as she was forced away by what felt like a massive paw slamming into her and what felt like claws ripping through her face and down her neck. Arkrael tumbled back, baring fangs as she tried to focus on the creature before her. Rather confused, but too lost in her madness, to gather the fact that Belladonna should not have claws. She shook her head, forcing the blood from her eyes so they did not blur her already hallucinated vision.

"Dooon't think...that yoooooouu are getting awwwwwway this time," her voice snarled, nearly echoing in it's maniacal tone as she lowered her head and prowled around towards the side of the doe. Though as she moved, flashes of cream fur and ice blue eyes caught her vision causing her to clench her eyes shut and shake her head. She had to repeat this a few times as a familiar lioness' face kept coming into her view. It was just a trick! This doe was trying to make her see something that wasn't there! She would NOT be tricked so easily.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR IT!" Her voice suddenly roared as she made to lunge in again. Opening her blood stained jowls as saliva mixed with Makyna's blood stretched and broke apart from fangs that now aimed to catch that doe once again.

Why was this happening? Why could things not be the way they were before? Couldn't this all be a dream where she would wake and be curled into Leon's side? The harsh scent of blood and the sharp pains in her neck told her no, this was the reality and this was what the cave had come to. Things would never be simple again. The lioness stared at the wolf, hurt threatening to bring tears into her eyes and a whimper to her throat. Why? The word burned at the back of her throat and she wanted to bring it forth. To weigh the wolf down with all of the suffering she was causing. Why couldn't they just be friends?

Twisted words sprang from Arkrael's maw, words that cut deeper than the wolf's fangs ever could. Not getting away this time? What did she mean? Had the wolf never liked her? Had it all been some elaborate lie? The truth made her want to run away... run away and tell her teddy bear about what had happened...

But there was no teddy bear. Not anymore...

Had she killed him too? Had she been jealous? Wanted Makyna's life ruined?

What if the disappearance of her family was all Arkrael's doing?

It seemed like madness but the lioness had stalked the cave for cycles, in the darkness, and seen hide nor hair of her family... There was no other way to describe it.

"Why are you torturing me?! What did I ever do to you?!" The words, she wanted them to be snarls but all that came out were choking sobs as she came to terms with her fate. No longer could she even trust her so-called friends.

Who could she trust?

Her family was dead.

Her friends turned against her...

Was it just her against the world?

The wolf lunged, aiming to sink her fangs into the lioness' golden creamy throat. Right in the nick of time Makyna managed to dodge out of the way. Her sadness fell away to yield anger, hurt, and a predatory aggression she didn't know she was capable of. If this wolf wanted to fight and destroy her life then Makyna would make it the hardest damn thing she had ever done!

With a savage roar the lioness leaped, paws outstretched as she attempted to pin the wolf beneath her with vicious claws and rend at her throat with angered fangs.

Arkrael
Oh stop your crying it'll be alright, Just take my hand..hold it tight

It would be so bittersweet. If only for the reason that Arkrael would wish she could revive the doe one last time just to rend her to shreds one last time. But alas, that was not something she could do. Her lunge in had gone so perfectly in her head and Arkrael was ready to celebrate the fact she would finally put to rest the bane of her existance. This heartless creature who had so fataly injured her child. Her precious Zriel. Breaking his leg and ultimately leading to an incurable infection that caused her child to suffer so horrifically while all she could do was sit and watch. For a moment she felt her heart flop within her chest and a rush of emotions that she had not felt in cycles rushed her.

Paws tripped over themselves and before she could regain herself a heavy form slammed into her. Claws and fangs sunk into fur as she was thrown backwards and landed heavily upon her back with the weight of her opponent pinning her down. Her head struck against the ground. Causing an explosion of spots to consume her vision and quite literally knock her senses back into place. She felt it. Felt the sudden sensation before she could even regain her vision. There was no pain. Just the complete utter numbness that she had thought she had been used to for so long.

Her eyes cleared, both mismatched eyes opening fully to now stare up at the cream colored fur that was tainted by her crimson blood.

Her dear friend.

Makyna.

'Noo....'

The words cried out within her mind, swirling into the dark mass that only fought to take back it's control on her. Though it's strength seemed to be slipping by as the blood from her now very serious wound drained from the punctures Makyna's fangs had pierced into her neck. The lioness' grip nearly choking her entirely.

"Maky....na..." She struggled to force out, clenching her eyes shut as she now struggled with the amount of emotions that were bombarding her now that the sickness of her madness began to fade with her ebbing life.

She forced her eyes open, searching Makyna's blood stained face as her ears slowly pinned back against her skull. "Forgive me..." Her voice wavered, shook and grunted as she forced the words through a tightly clenched throat. The horrors she had been causing within the caves were rushing back to her mind, reminding her of the vile things she had done while under the influence of her madness. A sob choked from her, filling her eyes with even more tears as her fur began to grow sodden with the water that now mixed with the blood that surely belonged to Makyna.

It was during this moment she felt the release on her neck, allowing passage of a heart-jarring sob as she felt more blood pool out from the wounds and soak through the fur on her neck. "I'm sorry. I'm s-so sorry...." She sobbed freely now, closing her eyes as she felt her world start to spin and darken.

Arkrael wasn't even sure if Makyna was saying anything, or if the lioness even tried. She couldn't hear a thing outside of her own sobbing and the sudden buzzing that damn near deafened her from anything else. She deserved every bit of this. She deserved to have her friend be the one to put her madness to rest. She would only ever thank Makyna for doing it. Even if makyna had not really intended to do so. Rae couldn't even remember the last time she saw makyna until now. Much less how they started fighting.

All the while her world spun and tumbled all around, the opal gem upon her chest suddenly gave off a bright flash of light, sending tendrils of multicolored rays in all directions before the gem suddenly began to shift. Moving and spreading out. slowly it crawled over Arkrael's chest, reaching out to slowly, but surely form what others would soon see as a giant Chrysali.... Her gem would fight for it's host's life...but to do that it would dragon Arkrael back into it's confines and there it would hold the dying she-wolf in it's protective casing.

Arkrael would return...

She could feel her body pressing the wolf down, claws sinking into flesh while her fangs found a purchase in that throat. In her mind this was just a piece of fresh-kill, prey that she'd hunted down and was putting out of its misery. The part of her that reasoned, that made her feel emotions was clouded by that hunter's instinct... It was clouded until she heard it.

"Forgive me..."

The words, spoken in a torrent of thick pain. It was Ark... She was back, apologizing, sorry. She hadn't meant to do this. Hadn't meant to cause so much pain. Makyna could let her go, let her go and it would be fine, right? Why couldn't she let go. Something inside of her, something that fueled the anger she felt deep within her gut made the lioness' jaws clamp harder and harder down on the wolf's throat.

Stop... Stop it!

The voice, she didn't know what it was or where it came from but it allowed her to release her hold. The blood oozed around her muzzle, staining her once golden coat crimson as she looked down at the dying she-wolf. The wolf who she had called her friend, who she'd known for so long. It was over...

Monster...

A word she'd called Cancer once when he nearly killed Leon. Only in that fight the two were hardly aware of what was going on but she... She knew what was happening, knew she was killing her friend and yet she hadn't been able to let go until now. Why? Because the taste in her mouth wasn't distinguishable from prey... because when she let the anger bubble over she was able to rend and tear and blame the she-wolf for all of her hurts...

The lioness stepped back, blue eyes wide and staring at the dying wolf. She'd done this... She was a killer... How could she face anyone? The lioness argued with herself. It wasn't her fault, right? Arkrael had come at her with intent to kill! But... but she could have stopped her, done something else, used magic to try and get into her head... but no. When faced with this new danger and all of her pent up sadness and frustration she'd resorted to violence and ultimately murder.

Murderer...

No... She couldn't...

She could.

The cave was tainted... and so was she.

Nothing would ever be the same again. Her friend's death was on her paws and the taste in her jowls... It might as well be dear blood but she could clean it away.

Kill or be killed...

This is the new way... Everyone is gone... Only you remain...

Embrace your strength...

"Mother? Mother!"

The new sound shook her out of her reverie. Mother? Was she a killer of cubs now too? Taking away the mother as well as the life of the child? Panic filled her blood then, panic at being connected to the crime.

Shouldn't she want to face justice? That's what she wanted for all the others...

It wasn't supposed to be this way...

But no, when the justice was towards her and in the face of something new that she could not explain she would run. And so, she fled with only a blue flower being left behind to show that she was ever there.

What have I become?

Something hadn't been right. It hadn't been right for awhile how. His dear mother. The sole creature that had given to him nothing but an abundance of love and protection. Something had gone so wrong with her. Her moods had shifted, like the ever changing tide of an ocean. An anger had washed over her, distracting her away until it was to the point that his mother just seemed to be absent. He had been left alone within Eridanus, without the ever protective watch over her mother. He had been unsure what to do. Bordering on a line of being full of fear or being perfectly alright. He had explored all of Eridanus in his mother's absence, but it was only a matter of time before he felt the need to go find her.

An overwhelming sense of anxiety had began to fill him most of the day, pushing his paws along the ground as he raced through Eridanus to see if she could perhaps be somewhere within the jungle. It was only then that he heard loud snarls and what sounded like fighting. His paws skidded to a stop and his single eye changed moods instantly. His iris thinning into a line as he grew alert. "Mother?" He called shakily, forcing his trembling legs to push onward. He hoped to all there was in Origin that it was not her, but something deep inside knew. It just knew. Coming around a few trees his masked head jerked up, the shape of his iris once again changing to a more X design as fear and a sudden burst of grief took hold as he witnessed his mother's gem shifting and moving, swallowing the she-wolf up. "MOTHER!" He cried out and instantly ran right over to her very unaware of the lion that was now running away.

Panic sent his heart racing as he skidded to a stop just before the now fully created Chrysalis. Wings were spread out and fluttering in his anxiety as he was unsure what to do. "Mom! Mom what...mom!" He cried, his voice racked with sobs as he circled the entire chrysalis. He even lifted a paw up and tentatively touched the Chrysalis. Though at a sudden smoldering smell Salethyr yanked his paw away. Tears fell freely from his eye, soaking his chest fur as his little body trembled.

He was confused and frightened. Unsure of what exactly was going on having no idea why his mother's gem would do such a thing. He didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to happen. In his frantic burst of emotions, Sal's gem quickly reacted, humming lowly in a way only he could hear. It was faint...but the sensation of his mother's gem hummed against his own gem. As much as it should have given him much relief it didn't. His mother was locked away within her gem and Salethyr began to wonder...would it be a permanent thing.

Falling into despair Sal couldn't stop himself from crying as he quite literally lost all strength in his legs and curled up just beside the opal chrysalis, careful not to let any part of him touch the chrysalis. He didn't know if it would hurt the gem like he knew it would actual gembounds, but he wasn't about to risk it on his mother either...
