Eira felt a sudden wave of searing heat sweeping over her fur. They were going to use magic, huh? Was that smart, or cheating? Well, two could play at that game. But first, Eira had to get off them. he was sweating, and pains swept over his back, his wounds crying out, as the smell of singed flesh and fur met his nose.

He let go, trying to push off their nose so that he cast himself back, out of the range of the burning air. In a few moments, Eira tumbled to a halt on the cold cave ground, swinging his head around as he lost sight of his assailant with his one eye.

Imperia grinned in satisfaction as the heat began to burn the otter. She grunted as he leaped off her nose, her head swinging the other way briefly before she looked back at the other. She stopped the heat coming from her mouth and stared at the other, still grinning. Her claws dug into the ground as she began to imagine them sinking into his fur.

She crouched, eyes narrowed and fixed on the otter in front of her. Her hind legs were bunched up beneath her as she prepared to leap. With a strong push of her hind legs, she jumped, claws aiming straight for the other.

The larger creature leaped at him, and as they did so Eira finally caught them within her limited vision. Her body quick and lithe, he aimed to dart beneath them before he was caught beneath their claws, lunging at their belly with fangs outstretched.

His heart was pounding, Eira had never fought like this before! not for so long... and well, this was better. They were bigger, meaner, but she also felt that she'd have the advantage because of this. She'd wiggle out of their grasp, she was small and easy to miss!

She couldn't overestimate herself though. She just had to keep fighting as ruthless as she ever had...

She'd taken too long, and as if on cue, Eira found herself caught in the grasp of the large cat. The otter struggled, snapping her jaws as she tried to free herself.

Imperia yowled in victory as she had the otter within her grasp. She grinned, flashing sharp teeth. She had the otter pinned, which wasn't very hard. Her eyes were shining as she stared down at him. "Well, that wasn't hard at all," she chuckled. She thought about what she could do now. She had him pinned, and he-hopefully-wasn't going to escape from her grasp anytime soon.

Imperia figured she may as well bite him. Not a hard bite, just...something to help him remember her by. She knew the fight wasn't nearly over, this otter was tough. But she may as well make sure she had the advantage. She leaned down and prepared to bite.

Although he struggled, the little strength she had wasn't enough against their sheer muscle. They'd taken hold, and as strong as Eira was for her size, it simply wasn't enough against a big cat. She'd need to use a little more than muscle to win this one.

Eira gave an angry squeal, beyond reasonable words of retort as the creature bit at him, sinking fangs into his belly. Not too deep, but not exactly shallow either. They must have underestimated her... And those wounds burned. But, what Eira did notice, was that now they'd engulfed him in their jaws, they were just within reach. It was one of the sensitive bits, too... With a determined scowl suddenly awakening on her face, she struggled, twisted, and coiled.

She lunged at their exposed nose, her long teeth glistening and sharper than needles.

Imperia sunk her teeth into the otter. Not too deep, but deep enough that it would definitely hurt. She held on for a moment longer. A moment too long. Next thing she knew, the otter had bit her nose. She immediately released the otter as she yowled. The bite hadn't been too bad, but it definitely hurt. She backed off of the otter, releasing him, and moved her paw over her nose, a few drops of blood smearing on it. She glared at him, eyes narrowed.

She stared at the otter some more, trying to decide what to do next. With a slight shrug, she decided to leap again. She had let the otter go, which she knew now to be a mistake. But she'll get the otter again, maybe bite him some more. She crouched down and leaped once more, claws headed straight for the other.

Eira couldn't help but smirk at the sight of them reeling backwards, yowling in pain. She was free, for now at least! But no sooner had the thought crossed his mind than it was a harsh jerk back to reality. The caracal leaped at him again, once more with outstretched claws. It was getting slightly predictable by this point...

"Am I really worth that much effort? I'm flattered."

This time, Eira took matters into his own paws. Again he lunged, aiming to slide beneath their paws and aim right for their exposed belly with sharp, now-bloodied fangs.

When she leaped toward the otter, she realized something was different. He lunged when she did, and seemed to be aiming right for her. She yowled as she felt teeth sink into her belly. She growled in annoyance. The impact from her leap made her go crashing into the ground, the bite having distracted her from landing properly. She landed on her side instead.

She scrambled up and scowled. The otter had likely been knocked off from her when she fell, and she wasn't sure where he had gone. She lay crouched down and decided to use one of her spells. When she caught the otter again, she'd be able to do even more damage. So she closed her eyes for a moment and focused on getting the heat to her paws. They were burnt, and the spell wouldn't help any if it worked, but what did it matter? She didn't care if her paws hurt just a bit more. But alas, it seems like it wouldn't work. She growled. Oh well.

Eira tried to hang onto their belly at first, but soon found that it'd be easier, as well as safer, to simply let go, and find another hold. As a result, he skidded to a halt a short distance away, and swung his head as he found them again. They'd had a rough tumble too, it seemed, and it gave Eira the chance to again lunge, adrenaline surging through the otter as it felt like he had the advantage.

Eira watched as they clambered to her paws, and struggled to clutch her chance before it left her. In the time before they could attack, Eira lunged for their neck, letting out a screeching battlecry. They needed to know what she'd do to a demon who crossed the line.

Imperia looked up from her paws as she heard a screeching battle cry and let out a yelp of surprise as the otter leaped toward her. He latched onto her neck, and she yowled. Immediately she started to try and pull them off, claws out and pulling at him desperately. She had to get him off, as having someone with sharp teeth on her neck definitely wasn't good.
