Hugin was growing to be a large raven, even for their species. His sibling was a little smaller and frailer, not weak, but his bones did not hold the same promise of coming strength
&& size that Hugin's did.
The two were growing apart, which saddened Hugin. Yet he shalt not despair, he told himself
&& left Munin to his own adventures.
Perhaps they both ought to spend some time apart, to see
&& meet other creatures.
Still, as deeply as he believed that Munin could protect themselves, Hugin still felt like an older sibling
&& like he ought to hover over the other raven every second, to make sure they were safe.
It wasn't a motherly urge, nor a brotherly one - Munin
&& Hugin were too strongly connected for a bond merely blamed on blood
( especially since they didn't know whether or not they were truly related ).
No, Hugin felt like a part of him was missing whenever he stepped too far away from Munin. Like he wasn't supposed to leave Munin's sight
&& the other way around.
But Hugin was the strong one.
He was
THE THOUGHT && Munin was
THE MIND - they were made for
&& with each other - but Hugin also needed experience
&& training to be able to protect his sibling.
That was what he'd told himself when he left Orion, their Kingdom, to see the rest of the Caves.
Soon, the young raven came upon a room with a curious
draw to it. The magic in the air was tangible, a force above and beneath Hugin's growing wings. He was tempted to try out his magical powers there, but decided to scope out the room for other Gembounds, lest someone creep up on him while he was training.
"Is someone here?" Hugin called out while he was perched on a rock jutting out of the wall to the right of the entrance, voice strong
&& steady. His marble-like eyes slowly took in every crevice
&& nook of the room.
"The wise speak only of what they know."
