Walking a bit away from the crowd, the aging lion moved to a clear space in Polaris, hopefully with Imperia following him. This would be an interesting fight - cat versus cat. Although, in the back of his mind, he wished he was up against Remedy. He was beginning to strongly dislike Cure's sister and really wanted to give her the what for for all the trouble shes caused him. Besides, they never finished their last spar when they were part of the Bonebound. Though, it was probably a good idea they weren't paired up... Xerxes didn't know if he could keep up the rule of no magicka and not intentionally hurting the opponent.

Making it to a clearing, away from anything that could get in their way and the other gembounds, Xerxes turned to face the caracal. There was no lie, the cat was smaller than he. A massive lion such as himself should have no problems winning this match... But he was a bit rusty. "Ladies first," he sneered, smirking, and bracing himself.

Imperia followed Xerxes. She had to admit that she was pissed that they couldn't use magic or claws. It was supposed to be just a "friendly wrestling match." Bullshit. She wouldn't use claws or her magic, no, but she didn't want this to be just a "friendly wrestling match." She didn't do friendly. As she looked up at the lion, she scowled. He was bigger and older. Her tiny tail flicked. No matter, she'd still win. She'd won against enemies older than she. This would be easy.

When he said ladies first, she grunted. "Very well, but I'm not sure if that's a choice you want to take." She crouched down, eyes narrowed. How was she going to start? She couldn't use fire or her claws. She could try to knock him down, but he was older than she. She didn't think that would work. She could leap at him. That was how she usually started...But would it work as well as it normally did when she used claws? She wasn't sure, but figured it was worth a shot anyway. It's not like she had much of a choice.

She prepared herself. Her eyes were fixed on her target, and she let out a low growl. She then leaped, but could tell right from the start that it was a terrible leap. Her back paws slipped on some pebbles, and she knew there was no way she'd actually get up to Xerxes. She let out a loud groan of annoyance as she crashed into the ground, wincing.

Had Xerxes been drinking anything, he would've sprayed ot everywhere after that horrible attempt. Instead, he held back from bursting out laughter, but some laughs escaped anyway. Watching the smaller feline attempt to leap at him and fall flat on her face was more than amusing, and while he'd like to sit here and laugh about it some more, he figured smacking her around a little would at least make up for it.

He was still chuckling a bit when he trotted forward and lifted a paw - claws free - to smack at the caracle. While he hoped to smack her cheek, he could tell he hadn't quite gotten close enough for that to exactly happen. Where ever it did hit her though would be good enough, and probably less painful too.

Upon hearing the suppressed laughter of the other, Imperia glared up at him. This was already off to a terrible start! She had to regain her dignity, and fast. That thought soon left her though as she felt the other smack her. It wasn't very hard, and only along the top of her head, but it made her even angrier. She quickly jumped up and scowled at Xerxes. She longed to take her claws out and rake them across his face, but she managed to keep them hidden. She did not need to be disqualified.

She marched right up to the other and growled again. She lifted her paw and prepared to smack him, just as he did to her. She didn't care where she smacked him, so long as it happened.

Laughing at the smaller feline earned nothing but more anger from them, making him smirk. They marched up to him then and repeated what he had just done - smack him. Theirs landed across his face while his had almost miss, causing a nasty hiss when he turned his face back to the caracal.

Xerxes puffed his chest up and stood, glaring at the smaller feline. He lunged at the caracal then, hopefully using some of his six hundred pound mass to tackle the caracal and bring them to the ground, or at least body slam them enough to knock them off balance. He knew his weight would likely be too heavy for the smaller caracal, so he at least tried to not use his entire weight, especially if he tackled them to the ground and pinned them like he hoped.

Imperia grinned when her paw found its mark. Ha! Hers was much better. When the other lunged at her, she let out a small yelp of surprise and landed on her back, Xerxes pinning her. She scowled. She could tell that he wasn't using all of his weight, and for that she was grateful. Not that she'd admit it. She growled up at him. She was at quite an advantage at this point. Without being able to use magic, she couldn't burn him, and she couldn't use her claws. She could always smack him again... She raised her paws and prepared to strike.

Hah! He pinned them! A wide grin stretched across his face once he settled on top of them and they tried to smack him again, only missing entirely. He laughed again, wondering how you could miss from such close range! Were they stupid? Blind? He could tell they were getting aggrivated with all this and wondered why they hadn't just tried to wiggle out yet. Silly dumb lesser cat!

Hoping his close range attack didn't fail like theirs, he lifted his right paw again, claws sheathed, and aimed to land a bitch slap on their left cheek!

As per rules of the competition it has been 3 days and there has been no reply from Imperia. As such @Imperia has forfeit! @Xerxes is the winner of the wrestling competition and will move on to fight @Eira !
