idk what to actually call it but
WE HAVE LOTS OF BIRDS ON ORIGIN
you know?????????? like
a lot
so join me, feathery friends, and lets ....... idk.........
FLOCK STUFF UP (?)

THE FLOCK

Notes on avian behavior:

"...the lower-ranking birds most often flew behind and to the right of the leaders. The researchers think this relates to the structure of the birds' brains, in which the left side handles spatial tasks and the right side governs social recognition. Therefore, anything the birds see with their left eye (which is processed by the right side of the brain) tends to yield a quicker social response."
from here

"...Several evolutionary mechanisms have been proposed to explain the formation of mixed-species flocks. These are usually described in terms of the costs and benefits to individuals. The key benefits that have been suggested are a reduction in predation risk through increased vigilance, that is, more eyes that can spot predators and raise an alarm and increased foraging efficiency. Costs could include the risk of kleptoparasitism."

from here

Information regarding the "chorus line hypothesis" can be found here

---

Area: Varies; the group will be migratory in order to stay safe and fed. We can set up a vote for the starting location if need be.

Leaders: A vote for this too - and maybe develop a system so the leaders change monthly or something?

Interested: ???

Remedy would probably at least acquaint herself with this group, but where she's bonded to Cure, she won't be joining / pledging herself to it. I'd be happy to have her as a lone ally tho! And make a bird for this eventually, even!

Maybe eventually? In the beginning I wanna focus on the birbs, but I can see them befriending other winged beasties over time.
