At first, Winter was relieved to be free as she slumped down on the ground. However, she felt red blood running down her side and the bite she had taken from the goose stung. She grimaced and got ready to dodge the next attack, but she was already back in the bird's beak. Angry and frustrated that she hadn't been paying enough attention, she tried again to trash her way out.

The stupid cobra got free again! Why couldn't she hold onto her? Hissing with annoyance, Blackberry jumped away as she dropped the snake and tried to think of her next course of action. She was on the attack and there would be no stopping. So she jumped forward again, flapping her wings, deciding to pummel her to the ground.

The tear out of the goose's mouth was a lot more painful this time, with the cut that she already had around her neck. Hissing and spitting, she managed to get free and, this time, was wasn't going to sit around. As Blackberry flew towards her, she turned to flee.

This time, Blackberry wasn't going to let her get away. As the snake turned to run, she managed to get in a few hits before she jumped over into the snake's path. With a loud hiss, she raised a leg to clamp it down on the snake's injured neck, forcing it to stay on the ground.

Winter cringed as the goose's wings came down on her body, but she managed to escape most injury. Instead, she focused on moving her body lightning fast to get out of the way of the slamming foot. This was as good a chance as she would get, wasn't it? She raised her body and struck out powerfully, her teeth aiming for the goose's foot that was standing right in her path.

Blackberry was ready for the strike and managed to get her foot out of the way in time for the bite to go dry again. She hissed at the pain of the teeth in her thin feet and felt a rip as the cartilage in the web was torn. Angry that she had managed to get a bite in, she shoved her foot down, intending on slamming it on the snake's head.

However, instead of managing to get a good grip in the snake, she instead completely missed and ended up slipping on the floor, banging her head against the ground. She groaned as her weight flopped over and she tumbled away.

Winter watched with disbelief at the goose's ridiculous display. However, she wasn't going to get bent over her amusement for long. They were still fighting and the goose losing her footing was yet another opportunity to get a good venomous bite in. For the third time, she struck, aiming for the fallen bird.
