QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

The jaguar's cub shriek caught his attention and Aries whipped around to the sight of a what looked to be a massive boulder in the sky. His jaw dropped in amazement, though before he had time to assess the situation, another cry followed by frantic splashing grabbed his ears. Another gemling, a canine, had ran straight into the unnatural lake with a pissed off cave deer on her tail. Oh, you have got be kidding me!
Aries charged into the water after them, somewhat mindful of the lake's volatile current this time. Despite the slick ground, he managed to keep his footing this time. It didn't take long before he began to intercept the deer. Like a tumbling boulder, he barreled into it, hoping to knock it off its feet.

SPLOTCH
Splotch yipped loudly, struggling to paddle against the water. Her fur was drenched, weighing her down, and she began to cry a pitiful 'ki-yi, ki-yi', paddling desperately. She'd not had much of a chance to practice swimming, so to suddenly find herself in deep water was scary. She could hear the cave deer behind her, but focused on trying to get her paws onto dry ground.
Twisting in the water, she spotted the odd thing above her. 'Is that an eye?' A blur of white drew her attention, seeing a big white thing slam into the cave deer, knocking it off its hooves.

Aries had knocked the enraged deer off its hooves and into the water, but he didn't stop there. For all he knew, that would warrant an attack against him next.
He wailed on the downed deer with his hooves, slamming and pounding them into its side. The deer had barely managed to get its head above the water before Aries smacked it again. In the white watered frenzy, it was difficult to tell who was winning, but the ram kept on hounding on the deer, with hooves like stones. Eventually he let up enough to allow the bruised, and bloodied deer to slip flee. Aries bounded after it for a bit to make sure it didn't get any second thoughts before, sloshing to a halt.
His nosed flared with heavy breathing as he looked behind him for the gemling who ran into the lake. If the current was strong enough, they could be in big trouble. Eventually he spotted her swimming to shore and Aries pushed his way towards her, just incase she needed help.

SPLOTCH
The Wild Dog squealed, flailing in the water. From her vantage point, she could see a large ram beginning to slam his hooves into its side, seemingly in a frenzy. She thought for a moment the deer would be killed but, finally, the ram allowed the lesser Gembound to flee.
Seeing the ram begin to make its way towards her, the pup managed to get to land, dragging herself clear of the water. She was limping, favoring her back right leg, but braced herself, shaking out her sopping wet fur.

The pressure of the storm's eye has turned the boulder into something more smooth and beautiful in appearance; it is like crystal, and the clouds in the center of the storm swirl back over it before peeling away again to reveal more of this oddity. The storm cares not for their fight against the deer, nor does it control the current of the water they fight against. It rumbles and it churns as if it cannot be settled. And now it seems to be watching them.
Choose! > Try to take the crystal eye for yoursevles (will require some kind of magic)
> Leave the crystal eye where it is and watch
Splotch growled quietly, shaking her fur off. Her head tilted up to look at the rock, and she decided she'd had quite enough. What if the deer came back? That stone didn't look quite natural.
