Kin-Kin grinned brightly, her fur shimmering with glee. "You too, kid!" kin-kin laughed wholeheartedly. "You're gonna need a lot of it, if you want to stand a chance against yours truly."
She grinned as the little bird looked around at the track markers she'd made previously. "Track markers," she explained briskly. "For the obstacle course. But that should be enough for now."She swished her tail beneath the cloak, adjusting it. She looked around, her ears twitching. if she remembered rightly, one was allowed to use environmental elements in their routine. She wondered if that included gems? Kin-Kin knew that she needed to practice, or adapt her routine if she were to win.
She breathed out through her nose, the glow around her fading from her fur and into her paws.
Once again the ground at her paws crackled as it reformed, sending a thrill through her fur. Before her eyes the ground sank into a hollow, and left another small, white gem sitting at her paws.

When I think.

"Track markers," Kin-Kin explained. "For the obstacle course. But that should be enough for now."
Gypsy could barely hold in her excitement as the wolf displayed another show of magic and revealed a small, white gem from the earth. Not realising that Kin-Kin was trying to practice for her own routine, the young bird eagerly tried to jump in with her newfound powers.
“I’ll make it glow!”
She drew out her magic and attempted to make the gem shine a wonderful array of hues. The resulting spell was unfortunately weak though, and the rainbow light kept flickering out.
“Awww… I gotta practice more!” She chirped. She looked up at Kin-Kin with big, baby eyes that fished for praises from someone she adored. “I-I’m doing well, considering it’s my first time trying out magick, right?”

Kin-Kin tilted her head as the little one used their same magick to surround the gem with rainbows. Kin-Kin chuckled softly. "Looky here, kiddo. If ya wanna make it glow, that ain't gonna cut it," she said, raising a paw. "You're good at makin' little rainbows, but there's a lot more to light than rainbows. If ya want the glow to last forever- and stand a chance in the Olympics- you're gonna need to try somethin' new."
The bird's big, pleading eyes caused the wolf to tilt her head, a defeated smile on her face. "Yeah, kid. If ya keep it it, you're gonna go far."
Raising a paw, Kin-Kin placed a claw on the surface of the gem, still vaguely flickering with rainbows, and poured her light into it. The gem lit up, glowing a sheer white, and intensifying the bird's magic that still lingered. She knew that those rainbows would fade, but the gem itself would continue to glow until the day she died.
She lowered her nose towards it, then nudged it towards the little bird.

Gypsy was a little disheartened by what Kin-Kin said despite all the encouragements. Making rainbows was not enough? But...
“I like rainbows!” The youngster protested. “I like making things glow!”
Kin-Kin had a point though. She had to learn how to make the glow more intense at some point. She hopped boldly towards the glowing white gem and bounced around it, looking at it this way and that. How did Kin-Kin do that?! With a sniff, she tried to summon up her magick, but the power of her gem only shifted weakly in response, and she felt tired. Maybe she had used up too much of her magick for one day. She was just a beginner after all.
The little avian sank down onto the cave floor so that her belly touched it.
“I can’t anymore,” she admitted. “I’m too tired. Magick’s so draining. I don’t get how you can keep doing that.”
Well, if she couldn’t practice, she would be content just to watch the master practice. And perhaps pick up a few techniques.

Kin-Kin shook her head slightly, a smile on her face. "Everyone likes rainbows, kiddo. But light can do a whole lot more'n that. And as for the 'glow', well... You're gonna need to work on that, too. That's the wrong spell, kiddo! You can't make light with that one, only fragment or condense it. See, the glow I put into that gem? That'll last forever, and you can use it in your magic, too- take it of you like, and use it. But making other things glow isn't hard, so don't worry. It shouldn't be too hard for ya, considering ya ain't had any problems making rainbows."
Kin-Kin watched the little bird hopping around the gem she'd made, and swished her tail softly. "Aw. Don't worry, kid, it'll get easier with practice," the wolf said reassuringly. She once more patted the earth at her paws. With her glow draining into the earth, a crackle and a creak, Kin-Kin created another clear crystal point.
"You can do anything with practice. Trust me. I'd know."

MAGICKA LEVEL 100%

As Kin-Kin went on a long explanation about the glow spell and other types of light spells, Gypsy’s head spun. Magick was so complex! But she supposed that’s what made it interesting. Her heart rose as Kin-Kin encouraged her again, and the little bird watched with avid interest as another gem was created.
"You can do anything with practice. Trust me. I'd know."
Gypsy nodded. “I’ll keep practising, I promise!” Her feathery tail wagged at the thought of improving in magick. How delightful it would be if she could create things so easily the way Kin-Kin did!
“Show me more magick tricks!” The little bird demanded, like a child asking for sweets.

Kin-Kin grinned as the little bird promised to keep practicing. It didn’t mean much to Kin-Kin personally, but it was sweet to see the little one so eager. ”Good!” she said brightly, shining a toothy grin the way of the little bird.
The little one then begged for Kin-Kin to show more magic tricks, and the prideful wolf was more than happy to oblige. She puffed up tall and closed her eyes, combing through the tricks she had up her sleeve. She still wanted to practice her latest trick; and in fact, it was something she wanted to use in the magicka olympics. Kin-Kin supposed that now was a good opportunity.
She took a deep breath and dropped her gaze to the gem at her paws as though to examine it. She felt energy like invisible limbs, and with less difficulty than the last she’d tried it, Kin-Kin lifted the gem from the earth, pushing it in the air towards Gypsy and turning it around. Kin-Kin’s face split into a wide grin, but her focus never once left the gem, until she finally laid it down at the wren’s feet and looked up for her reaction.

Gypsy stayed as still and silent as possible, not wanting to distract Kin-Kin while she drew in her power. She couldn’t help but quiver in excitement however, as she anticipated and wondered what the magical wolf would do next.
Kin-Kin looked at the gem as if to examine it, and then all of a sudden, the stone lifted into the air on its own and moved towards her. Gypsy squeaked in delight as it headed towards her before finally landing by her talons.
“That’s awwwwweeesoooommmeeeee! It just moved on its own!” She hopped up and down in joy. Waving her wings around she shouted, “More! More!”

as expected, Kin-Kin’s glow brightened with pride as Gypsy sang the praises of her latest trick. The wolf’s tail twitched, almost breaking into a wag.and then, of course, the little one demanded more! Kin-Kin grinned broadly at the little one, before winking wryly, and tilting her head. Kin-Kin would have loved to oblige the little bird, of course, but she wasn’t completely infallible, and she could sense that her sizeable magic reserves were beginning to drain.
With the olympics close at hand, that simply wouldn’t do.
”I would,” she began carefully. ”but I wouldn’t wanna spoil the show, would I? It’s almost time for the olympics, and I’m gearing up for one hell of a performance. You’ll be there, won’t you?”
She grinned at the little bird, already knowing the answer.

Gypsy was a little disappointed by Kin-Kin’s response, but she hopped around energetically when the wolf asked her if she would be there.
“Of course! I already said I’d sign up, right?! I want to have a go too! And then I’ll cheer for you as well! I want to see mooore of your wonderful magic tricks, Kin-Kin!”
She danced around, tail wagging as she chirped happily. “Oh, I can’t wait! It’ll be so grand! I’ll get to see your amazing performance and then everyone else’s too! It’ll be so much fun!”
She twirled one more time before facing Kin-Kin with a broad grin on her beak. She was so glad she had met this talented demi-god, and the little bird admired her. She wasn’t hesitant to let her know exactly that.
“I’m so glad I met you! Thank you for teaching me! Now I can make rainbows and light and more pretty things in the future with practice! See you at the Olympics, Kin-Kin!”
With a little wave of her wing, the tiny avian darted off.
