Dang. Reseda didn't fall for her fake anger. Her joke was ruined. Oh well. However, it seemed she might have offended the Komodo. That wasn't good. But then again, what was life without it's ups and downs?

”I know. Thank you for that compliment. I was only joking, you know.” Aurora responded, standing.She let her tail swish back and forth, deciding what to say next. Maybe they could talk about the room they were in. Or how their gems were the same. Or maybe they could spar. Or something. This was getting kind of boring.

Reseda dipped her head in confirmation. "You're welcome. And that is quite alright, joking is good. Although I'm not well accustomed to jokes and teasing, please excuse me if I misinterpret them." That, at least, was true, but in many different ways. There wasn't exactly a lot of cheer in the room of bones and Reseda herself did not care much for jokes anyways. They were useless and a waste of time. But perhaps, as this conversation implied, she should learn of them. Did all gems make jokes? Did all gems enjoy teasing and sarcasm? She would have to learn and observe more.

But for this moment, right here, right now, she had to keep it going. Every second she was losing the young one. She remembered the cat noticing her tail gem before and, after a quick look, she recognized it. It was the same green of the gems around her eye. She nodded to it as the young one swished it around. "Your gem. A peridot, yes? Mine is the same. A funny coincidence."

Reseda sur was strange. She hadn't heard many jokes? SHe wasn't accustomed to just being friendly? Or unfriendly. To be honest, Aurora was being rather rude. But she couldn't change that now. Instead, she turned from her thoughts and back to what Reseda was talking about.

Their gemstones were both Peridot. Which did intrigue the Gemling. It didn't make sense, because how would there be two Gemboun'd with the same stone? It probably wasn't limited to one different stone for each Gembound. If it were that way, then there'd have to be many different types of gems. Or maybe it was that way, and Reseda and Aurora were oddities.

”That is strange. But kinda cool. Maybe it means something.” Aurora suggested. Maybe they were connected somehow. Maybe not. She didn't know.

Reseda looked at the young one thoughtfully. Inside, she was growing more and more bored with this conversation, but she forced herself to continue. Their relationship was already shaky and she had to get it to keep talking so that she could have a chance to befriend the cat. Or not. Either way, she didn't feel she should stop speaking. "Yes, perhaps. Maybe we have the same magic? Or, at least, there's something in our magic that is similar."

She doubted that there really was a connection between them because of their gems but it was at least something she could hold onto.

Okay, now this conversation was going nowhere. Maybe their magick was similar? Aurora didn't even know what magick she had. Or what magick Reseda had. Honestly, Aurora didn't even care about what migick Reseda had. She didn't really care about Reseda at all. As far as Aurora could tell, Reseda was a boring, butt-kissing lizard with the same gem as hers. Whoop-dee-doo.

”Well, maybe. But um. I think I might go now. I wanna explore the caves.” Aurora said, almost painfully blunt. She was bored, and Reseda should know it. Mainly because it was mostly Reseda's fault. She was just so boring. Her formalness, her overly nice attitude. It was just bleh to the Gemling. She needed something exciting and challenging.

Reseda glared at the young one. She'd been trying hard to be friendly. She thought she was doing a decent job at being nice. But, apparently, it wasn't good enough for the cat. She sighed. No friends would be made here. So it was time to revert back to the original strategy. Fear.

She stepped back from the young one and smirked. "Ah, yes, its come to that time." Her voice had lost all manor of its silky, warm tone. Now it was cold, emotionless, dead. "I don't think you'll be going anywhere."

All of a sudden, she leaped to the left and also leaped to the right. There were no two Reseda's standing in the young one's way, backing it up against the steep edge of the river. There was coldness in her eye and her huge claws slid forward. "You have three options right now." Both of the lizards spoke at the same time. "You can leave now, in peace to spread my name and fear. You can join me and pledge your life to my service. Or you can die now in terror." She growled low and took a step forward, making sure her claws were very visible.

What did Reseda mean by that? It'll be different now? He voice was different too. And- wait. Wait what?

”HOLY HELL THERE ARE TWO OF YOU! WHAT THE SHIT?!” Aurora yelled, her tail puffing up like a ballon, she backed away slowly from the lizard, not liking any options. SHe didn't want to fight, she didn't want to join this crazy bitch, and she didn't want to die. For heck's sake, she just hatched like not even three hours ago.

”How's about none? I don't like any of those.” Aurora stated blatantly. Then she remembered, she had a tail spike. That tail spike could hurt. ANds she had claws. And many other things. Like teeth. And smarts too. ”How about this one? You back off, or I'll stab your freaking eyes out?”

Notes: LANGUAGE CHILD!!!

Reseda laughed, but this laugh was cold and dark and was not funny at all. And it seemed to come from everywhere. Behind them, above them, all over. The laugh that did not come from the two was quieter, but still audible...and still pretty creepy.

She remembered. This was the first thing the deep one had taught her. It had been pleased with her compliance and had given her the knowledge of the whispering spell. Now, she knew more. She could create fear of her own. She was rising.

Her laugh went on for quite a while before she cut off that particular stream of magic and turned back to the cat. "If you don't choose one, I'll choose for you. It's been ever so long since I've had a bone to munch on, after all."

She tapped her claw, impatiently, ignoring the young one's threat. She's first have to figure out which one was the real one if she wanted to attack.

Aurora groaned annoyedly. This lizard was insane. It frustrated her that she wouldn't understand that Aurora just wanted to be left alone. The cat would attack, but she didn't know which Reseda was real.

”I choose none, you imbecile. Either you leave me the frick alone, or you get hurt. Pick.”Aurora threatened, her voice a low hiss. She was having none of this. ”Oh yeah, and while you're at it, stop being a coward and get rid of your double.”

This kitty bites back.

Reseda flicked her tail and smiled. She was unfazed by the young one's insults and threats and she found it rather amusing that it was trying to threaten her in the first place. "I don't think you're in the position to be making threats and demands. Why would I lose the double? It is so much fun to see you so scared."

It thought she was a coward? She didn't care. This creature was lower then her, so much lower. It could think whatever it wanted and it wouldn't make the slightest difference. She stood taller and glared down, unblinking at the cat. "I'll give you one more chance to choose before I choose myself."
