Aurora scoffed. She wasn't scared. She was just startled. Yeah, startled, that's all. The lizard wanted her opinion? You wanna play with the kitty, you gonna get scratched.

”Don't be angry when you lose, lizard beast.” Aurora spat, eyeing the two lizards. She'd go for the left one first. Aurora ran towards her target and readied her tail, aiming for the lizard's eye. This gem placement would come in handy. She just hoped it wouldn't break off.

The cat leaped, her head peering over her shoulder as she stabbed the lizard in the eye and landed on it's back. Oh yes, bad-ass kitty cat mode, a c t i v a t e d.

Reseda watched as the young one leaped towards her, the real one. Impressive that she had guessed correctly. The gem came close to her eye, but the gems got tangled in the way. The peridot merely clattered against her own, sending a shock wave of pain through her head. And then, suddenly, the cat was digging into her back. She glanced back, feeling blood running down her side. Without so much as a squeak of pain, she focused her magic backwards, sending a wave of energy upwards, trying to knock the young one off of her back.

Well, that didn't go quite as planned. Instead of hitting flesh, her spike hit the other Peridot on Reseda. Damnit. Okay, trial and error. That could be learned from. Aurora was about to try and stab her spike into Reseda again, but she was thrown a short way off of the huge lizard.

How the hell could she do that? Aurora wasn't sure, but it didn't matter. What mattered was the task at hand. Teaching Reseda that o one messed with this cat, and hopefully preventing her from attacking others ever again. After all, if one was defeated by a newly hatched Gembound, you'd think they'd be pretty against attacking anyone who might have more experience.

Standing up and shaking off the dirt on her fur, Aurora turned to face the lizard she knew to be Reseda with a hiss. Her body was down low, her tail lashing back and forth like a whip. Angry kitty. The small cat rushed forward again like a tiny, angry, furry missile of death and tried to latch onto the lizards face with her claws and teeth, anything to do damage.

Reseda watched coldly as the young one came flying at her in a strange whirl of teeth and claws. She had claws like those too, but bigger and stronger. The kitten was young, newly hatched, actually, and its claws and teeth barely drew blood. It did sting, though, definitely. Hurt flashed in her eyes and she tried to summon more magic to blast it away. This time, however, the spell sputtered out before it could cast and she was left defenseless.

But she didn't care. She wanted to be amused was all and having a kitten beat her wasn't amusing in the slightest. And if her magic wasn't going to back her up, then she would have to find another way. With the young one so close, she made sure that they were looking eye to eye. Her cold, black eyes glared into the young one's as a smile drew itself up her face. "Does it feel good to hurt me, kitten?" Her voice was low and hissing as she leaned into the attack.

The lizard did nothing at all. In fact she encouraged the attack. This lady was really crazy. Needed to be locked up in the loony bin. She was bonkers. And Aurora hated it. SHe wasn't being taken seriously. Hissing angrily, the kitten moved farther up Reseda's face, digging her claws deeper and deeper as she went..

Now was the time to strike. She raised her tail up, and drove it straight down at Reseda's mouth, hoping to go through the skin and shut her mouth for good. However, she hit the top of her mouth wrong and instead her tail slipped to the side, rendering the attack useless. Damn.

The angry hiss was all she needed as response. Her eyes glimmered as the cat became frustrated. Its claws may have been digging deeper into her face, but she did not mind. The anger and rage she had elicited in her enemy was enough. Oh, emotions were such funny little things.

As she tried to get the magic to activate again, suddenly there was a huge force. She had intended the force to push away the young one from her face but, instead, it only smashed right into her, sending her flying away. She hissed with surprise as the magic threw her into the ground, crystals and rocks jabbing into her skin. There was a massive pain in her chest. One of her ribs must have cracked from the force.

Aurora held on for dear life while Reseda shot them both backwards. Her claws were dug deeply into the face on the monstorous Komodo, and she wasn't letting go. Once the landed, Aurora looseded her grip, but didn't let go. She was rather safe on Reseda's face.

She couldn't get bitten up here, and Aurora was pretty sure the lizard's arms were too short to reach her. The only thing that Reseda could do was use magick. And the young Gembound hadn't learned the full extent of magick yet. Speaking of magick, she should try to use her own, whatever it was.

Focusing on her green gem, Aurora summoned her magick. Soon, small sprouts of green grew along her body, with little purple bulbs forming. Yes, poison! Now the small cat was untouchable physically. She hopped off Reseda and stared defiantly into her face. ”Bite me, I dare you!” She yowled, a smirk on her face.

Reseda groaned as pain rumbled in her chest. She had never been hurt like this before. She'd been scratched and bruised from the bones before, but never had her own bones snapped. And blood was running down her face too. Once the young one was out, she shook out her head, taking a deep breath to regain herself. She ignored the pain and focused back on the cat.

It was so small, so tiny. Easily killed with the right snap of her jaws. But now it looked like there wouldn't be any biting. That was fine. She had claws and other things too. She glanced over the kitten's shoulder and spied the edge of the river that it had expressed fears about in its first sentence. She fixed her eyes back on the young one's face and felt her gem start to heat up. More then it had before, which was a good sign.

She could feel the magic swirling, controlled and strong. She took a deep breath as she readied herself to push it out, aiming to throw the cat into the water.

"Who says I want to bite you?" she rumbled. And then she released her spell, a huge force blasting out from all sides in a circle around her. She had to steady herself so as not to get caught up in the energy releasing from her body.

The kitten's victory was short lived. Reseda gave er one question, before Aurora was flying through the air into the water. The cat let out a starangled scream, a cry for help, before veing swept under by the currents. She surfaced quickly, before being sucked back under.

The small cat pawed at the water, struggling to make it to the shore. Swim, damnit, swim! Aurora was dunked back under and stayed under for what felt like ten years, but was really ten seconds. This time when she surfaced, she took a deep breath and tried her hardest to make it to shore, kicking and pawing at the water as if her life depended on it. Which it did.

Aurora was close to shore. Four feet, three feet, two feet, one foot. She was there! The kitten clambered on to shore and collapsed, coughing up water and shaking her body. But she didn't have much time to rest. Reseda was dangerous, and she needed to stop her.

But the task at hand was huge. She could flee and try to nurse her ego and pride back, or she could stay, get her butt kicked, and possibly die. Aurora chose the second option.

Reseda watched coldly as the young one was flung into the river by her spell. It disappeared into the current before surfacing some way down. She turned and stalked to the area of the river where it was surfacing and waited at the edge of the water as it paddled to shore.

She tried to use her magic again to push the young one back into the waves, but it seemed her previous spell had used up the energy for this one. Instead, she stepped back and glared at the kitten came ashore. She smirked and raised her head expectantly. "Are you going to keep fighting me?"
