Aurora was met with Reseda again. No attacks, just a question. The Komodo had won this time, but the cat would never forget this. She would never forget of the betrayl. No, this cat had a vendetta that would last for an aeonian. It would never end.

”No... you win... for now. But mark my words Reseda, you have not seen the last of me.” Aurora spat, her voice dripping with venomous hatred. She stood and backed away, never taking her eyes off of Reseda.

But she wasn't going to stop her attack here. No. Aurora ran forward, and pounced, aiming to land on Reseda's face. But instead, she missed and skidded across the sand, landing right in front of Reseda. She felt like a fool,
but stood and shook herself off, glaring into the Komodo's eyes.

Reseda watched with curiosity as the young one came running up to her. Really? After she said she wasn't going to fight anymore? She wasn't going to have that. Besides, she would not leave this fight for the cat to stalk off. She would make it fear, make it do what she wanted. Even if she had to force the words from its throat.

Just as it was backing away, she pounced forward and brought her claws to smash down on the kitten's head, trying to hold her down on the ground.

Aurora scrambled backwards as Reseda lunged at her. BUt she wasn't fast enough. The kitten's ear was pinned beneath the Komoso's claw, and it was too painful to move.

”Let me go you bitch! What are you gonna do, huh? If you bite me you'll die. I'm covered in deadly plants.” Aurora yowled, her eyes ever defiant, her tongue ever stubborn. The Gemling wouldn't give up. If she was flung back into the water, she'd swim to the other side and leave. Reseda could do nothing to her without harming herself or letting Aurora escape.

Reseda stared at the kitten struggling below her. The tiny thing was no match for her claws. She was careful not to let them touch her neck. If she wanted to spread fear, then she couldn't have her subjects wandering off without a proper warning.

She leaned down until her face was just above the cat's. "I still have claws. I don't need my teeth to inflict pain. Submit to me."

She raised her free claws and place it just above the cat's throat, a dark hiss streaming from the back of her throat. "Submit now and you will live."

Aurora hissed and spat and yowled in Reseda's face. Despite the claw at her throat, Aurora would not submit. Despite her life being on the line, Aurora would never submit. It wasn't right, and she wouldn't succumb to the wrong and evil. Reseda was evil. And she was dangerous. She was a master manipulator. One who could seem charming and kind, but one wrong move and you would be dead.

”In your dreams, you oversized gecko.” Aurora growled, her voice low and as menacing as she could make it. She didn't struggle one bit. A claw was dangerously close to her throat and she wouldn't risk hurting herself. Well, by not submitting to Reseda, she was risking hurting herself, but that was different. Reseda was out of her control. Struggling was in control.

The insult went over Reseda's head and nothing in her face changed. She glared down at the cat beneath her claws, blood dripping from her head and her cold, expressionless eyes bearing down. "You will fear me, Aurora. Fear me. I am Reseda."

She sent magic into the air and voice began whispering all over the room. "Fear me. Fear me. I am Reseda. Fear me." She sent two straight next to the young cat's ears so that two whispers spoke directly into her head. "Fear me."
"If you do not submit, then do not submit. Fear me instead. Fear me." She did not relent. She kept the magic going, voices everywhere, some loud, some soft, some moaning and some screaming. Her cold, expressionless eyes continued to stare into the young one.

Aurora heard the voices. The ones Reseda sent out before. They were relentless. But they wouldn't break Aurora. She held firm, glaring at Reseda, her gaze heated and angry and stubborn. It was just manipulation of her voice with magick. There was nothing to be afraid of.

”I will never fear you, Reseda. Your magick tricks and your size mean nothing. Inside you are dead, a husk that lusts for what I have. Emotion. The capability to feel something other than envy and anger. I pity you, I do not fear you.” Aurora spat, her gaze softening for just a moment. It must be horrible to live a life without love, a life without emotion. But Reseda had tried to kill her.

And Aurora had no room for empathy of those who were less than her. She had better things to do than feel bad for murderers and manipulators.

Reseda listened to the young one and was amused by its words. It thought that she cared for emotions. That she would ever care about anything at all besides what she deserved. "Your pity is what makes you weak. Your emotions are only a hindrance. I am above emotions, above the care and love that gems destroy themselves for. I can kill you right now and not feel a thing but disappointment that you were the fool I thought you were, in the end."

She placed the tip of her claw on the cat's throat. Oh, she could do it now. Just a little more pressure or a small cut and the young one would die. But that was boring. She should have fun first, since that was what she needed. Entertainment. This was boring, trying to get this cat to fear her.

She moved her claw from the cats throat and danced it across its body, tracing wounds and stabs that she could possibly do. "Oh, I could do many things to make you fear. Cutting your throat would be boring. Too quick. Too easy. Death is pointless." She stopped a claw at her stomach and tapped it slowly. "Perhaps I should split open your stomach? Or twist a claw? It would be painful. One more chance, cat. One more chance."

The small cat had had enough of this. The teasing, the danger. Her heart was thudding in her chest. She couldn't bear to be around the lizard any longer. It truly was sadistic and insane. It held nothing for itself. It was nothing but a murderous husk. And that terrified Aurora. But she'd never let it show.

The feline decided to just deal with a small amount of pain over death, and used her back paws to shove against Reseda's underbelly. She felt her ear tear, a small portion staying under Reseda's claw. Aurora cried out in pain, but there was no time to worry about it. Her life was on the line. Aurora scrambled to her paws and up the shore, running as fast as her little paws could carry her. She never looked back.

When the cat began to fight back, Reseda found that it was too quick for her to keep up with. Before she knew it, the young one was shooting off. She smiled. It was afraid. Just as she wanted. Perhaps it had escaped pain and her claws, but it had taken away that seed of terror that she had planned to plant. Perhaps she could send it a small going away present as well, just for good measure. And also her own amusement.

She released more magic and a copy of herself sprung from her body and raced after the cat, faster then she could ever be. It ran alongside and glared at her with joy, a smile splitting its cheeks. "Feeaaarrr meeeee..." she had it drawl out the words before disappearing into thin air.

Her work here done, she turned and stalked off, intending on exploring the caves a little more. It was best, of course, to see her kingdom before she ruled it.
