There was a grim sort of satisfaction as she struck the bear, feeling his flesh and muscle beneath her own. It made her grin, little more than a flash of teeth, even as she bounced off, paws meeting the ground again.

Before she could react, move to strike out at him again or dart out of the way, his paw was lashing out, slamming into her. She grunted from the force of the strike, tumbling along the ground. The she-wolf scrambled to her paws, fairly unco-ordinatedly in her rush, and drew herself up, tucking her head low, rolling her shoulders up, bracing herself for whatever he would do next.

Paw hit heavy body, fur to fur. There was give. She fell, tumbled, and he barreled after her, thick hide seeming to roll about his body as he galloped for her.

She'd scrambled to her feet--bracing herself--and he aimed to break that brace. To crash into her, chest-to-chest.

The lessons of the prior fights had not been forgotten; he was careful with his force, and careful with his point of impact. He wanted to bowl her over--again--but not to break her.

Rather surprisingly, the fight remained fair, even as the black wolf continually flashed her teeth in quick grins. Every bit of white made Azizos step forth hastily, ears pricking forth and eyes searching for any signs of actual aggression.

Then, just as quickly as it had begun to ramp up, the fight died down and the lion-stag presumed it was well past done. Silvery eyes shifted over to Glory, sparing a moment for counsel. Between the two of them, the victor was unanimous. Azizos stepped forth with ever-so-gentle grace, and released a keening roar.

"This fight has met its end, and we have a victor: Sergei, the brown bear," he called, voice bellowing easily across the crowd and silencing it, "you have fought well." Azizos lowered his voice, there, to address the hulking beast singularly. His gaze tilted back to the rest of the gathering with a flick of his tail. "I believe that concludes the festivities for these few cycles. You have all fought well and honorably, with few intrusions. Very good."

It was high time for a nap, wasn't it?

The lion-stag smiled gently, inclining his head once more to his fellow judge, and trotting off to go find either of his fathers (if he went unhindered.)

The she-wolf gasped as she was slammed into, losing her balance and hitting the ground on her side.

Scrambling to her paws, she stopped as the judge stepped forward. Sergei had won, and her ears twitched in frustration, but she accepted it, inclining her head to Sergei. "That was a good fight, Sergei. I hope to see you again." and she did, and not in a malicious way--he would make a wonderful addition to the Blood Berries.

With that, she would turn on her paws and trot away.

Sergei backed off at once, even before the judge spoke. At Jayberry's words, he bowed his own massive head, briefly.

"It was good fight," he agreed, in his deep rumble, and then looked with his small, dark eyes toward the judge. "Thank you. This make me--winning... loser?" he asked, still uncertain about how this all worked.

Oh, well, it was something to claim, at least. Best loser..? He shook himself, quite unable to puzzle out the perceived intricacies of his new win, and turned to lumber back out of the ring.
