Listening for the last time, Venari closed in around Atinneas, her body building a circular wall. "Very well," came her voice, a whisper in their closeness. As her body continued to enclose the lion, she began to squeeze tighter until eventually she closed two of her spindly legs around the lion's neck; she held her there with firm pressure, not intended to be painful, but just enough for Atinneas to slip from consciousness.

When the lion was limp against her chitinous body, Venari's head reared back and her mandibles parted, arching out to the sides; her many feet worked fluidly to lift and turn the limp lioness, angling her so that her chest was facing upward, slightly tilted toward the right. And when she felt the body was positioned well enough, the diamond scythe twitched for only a moment before her entire body moved in for the strike.

Within the blink of an eye, the sound of sheared crystal cut the air as Venari engulfed Atinneas, her body moving endlessly until it dispersed—she unfurled herself and skittered off, having not been aware of the others the entire time.

Left behind was the quickly decomposing body of a lion, its fur and flesh melting into goo that soon would leave only her bones behind. Notably missing would be her stone, cut clean from her breastbone and nowhere to be found; Venari had taken it to show the one who hired her that the job had been completed.

Venari attempted exit. Characters will have to give small chase to catch up to her and get her attention. Otherwise, Venari can be found back at her cavern.
