QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
The twenty-odd-foot-broad-spider was huge, but not heavy, and with a twist Alpha managed to hurl its body toward itself, instead. The impacts of magic against its hide seared and smashed, and it shrieked: a hissing, breathy sound. The bile was still eating through it, like lava, and the wisp had joined it, so that its abdomen was slowly disintegrating.
Fangs struck for Orthoclase-Alpha's body, repeatedly, punching for the carapace. If they broke through it would hurt--a lot!--but not be particularly dangerous.
Hecate produced no wisp. Instead, a faint puff of bacteria--sickening bacteria, summoned up by anger, fear and rogue magicka--drifted forth, from her toward the Silk Spider.
It paused in stabbing at Alpha, forelimbs dangling in the air, and then--was that a cough-? Could spiders cough..?
Deli's magic went another direction: the sort that would sharpen the senses to incredible levels, a spell he would be familiar with. Except... it backfired. Deli was suddenly blind, and deaf, with no sense of taste or touch, stumbling in a senseless void. It would wear off in a moment, but how disorienting, or even frightening, such a thing might be!
And before Reign, no barrier formed--but a small rock on the ground snapped neatly in half.
Where is my WISP!? Even in her own thoughts, her voice was loud, and demanding, the shriek of a diva. But she didn't voice it aloud, too baffled by the chaos and the noise. By coughing spiders and buzzing bees.
The little owl-hybrid glanced around; she could hardly see, given the dark and her own near-blindness, but she could hear that big bee still buzzing in the web. Maybe if they freed it-? She aimed her mind at it, angry at how her magic was disobeying her, demanding that it work. Granted, this was a spell she hadn't yet mastered, but-!
She tried anyway, reaching out her mind to try and help snare the bee and pull it free of its sticky trap.
ROLL 13
Hecate attempts to Cast Spell — Telekinesis( Free Bug Boy )
Deli's grating voice coming so near was all the more incentive for Alpha to thrash around and be a little more violent than necessary. If it happened to accidentally step on the dog while wrestling the spider, oh well!
It grunted and hissed as its carapace was punctured around its face and limbs, but continued to grapple and strain through it. The spider shrieked - an annoying sound, knowing that those wretched little cats had caused that, and not itself. Suddenly, though, it coughed - faltering.
All the moment of weakness it needed. Alpha intended to make that a fatal mistake, snapping its jaws for one part of the spider's abdomen and its right forelimb for its head. Given that grip, the orthoclase would jerk and pull a bit like a terrier, head going one way and claws the other, to rip this poor arachnid in half.
ROLL 19
Orthoclase-Alpha attempts Physical Combat ( rip that motherfucker in half )

MAGICKA LEVEL 81% RESTORED TO 100%
Krozz was briefly stunned by the odd green flash over her vision and the sudden tiredness out of nowhere. Just as quick as it comes, it goes. Whatever it was, it wasn't the spell she had tried to cast. Being rather inexperienced at spellcasting, she just figured she needed more practice.
She stood frozen, split between running back to the loud owl-hybrid or running farther into the (hopefully) safe grass. But the chaos of the misfired magic all around was enough to terrify the young hatchling. She scrambled further into the tall grass, hoping to find a safe area far away from the gigantic spider and all the chaos surrounding it. She whipped her head around, trying to find a large rock or even a mushroom or plant she could climb and get a better view of her surroundings. However, she was unable to see much more than the towering forest of grass surrounding her. And now that she had run away from the other gembound, she felt isolated and very, very alone.

ROLL 3
Krozz attempts Other ( Find somewhere where you can actually freaking see )
The other Gembound seemed to get what it wanted, fighting with the massive spider, only stopping when it paused to cough, and for a moment Reign could only blink when a rock snapped in half instead of a barrier.
...Pride was right. Magick was not reliable.
The Cheetah snarled, calling out "Are you well, Kitten?" to Asteri even as he reached for his Magic, hesitant and concerned as to how it would react as he attempted to throw up a disorienting Thunderclap.
ROLL 20
Reign attempts to Cast Spell — Thunderclap( pls? )
To say that it feels impossible to find the cat that was standing off to his side just a few moments ago is an understatement. All is pitchy dark and he feels himself brush against what is probably a blade of grass from the smell of it and he turns in an attempt to reorient himself towards him—towards protection, any sort of protection, he’s scared and he wants his dad—and ends up bumping right into something furry and soft.
Is this the other cat?
It seems like it—there’s a soft, rumbling purr from above him, and Astéri’s frantic heartbeat settles ever so slightly as he tries to make his way underneath him as best he can and curl up, staring out at the flashing green and red lights of the two beasts battling. A shriek cuts the air, and he flinches, trying to curl up into an even tighter ball—everything is chaotic and dark and he doesn’t like it, not at all.
The bigger cat’s rumbling voice reaches him, calm even through the chaos, and Astéri begins to respond “I’m scared—” —only to be interrupted by another chaotic flash of green and red from the fight in front of them. He whines and tucks his head down, ears pinning to his head, eyes blown with fear, and hopes that everything stops soon.
Oka slithered in cautiously. The room was massive. Oka couldn't see, the room pure black. Visions of the altar entered Oka's vision. They shrunk at the thought of it. But, Oka could smell. Oka waved their tentacles around. It smelled rich, of plants. There were plants all around. They stumbled blindly, ready to flee should their vision turn inverted. They bumped into something, testing with their tentacles. It was grass. They felt along the stem. It went much higher. They gasped in excitement. Grass larger than any they'd ever seen. But...further in they heard something. Screeches and magic, flashes of light and dark. Gembound screaming. It reminded them too much of the visions. Of that room. What...what was happening in here? Oka tried not to think about it.
Nevermind the craziness, Oka would just take a bit of grass for their shell and leave. They didn't want any part of this craziness. Oka slimed up to a stem and began to chew with its mandibles, cutting the massive blade from it's base. It dwarfed the snail by a serious degree. But their greed was even larger. "Grow!" They said, barely able to hide their giddiness.
ROLL 20
Oka attempts to Cast Spell — Host( grow big grass )
Qisziux followed Oka into the room- He'd stuck by the snail's side since the hole incident, not wanting to be alone with the strange visions, and not really having any other friends to turn to. The darkness of the room made fear spike through him, immediately making him think of the darkness of the tunnel that had lead up to the altar.
Well, this is the perfect place for some magic practice. He thought, and willing his magic to actually obey him for once, he attempted to scatter rainbow beams of light around the area, hopefully making it easier to see.

ROLL 5
Qisziux attempts to Cast Spell — Prism( light plz )
Things became suddenly a lot less funny when all of Deli's senses were suddenly cut off. They froze, blinking, as if to clear their eyes, and fell back, suddenly disoriented by the loss of...everything. Not that they felt themselves falling to the ground.
They didn't know what was going on. Whatever everyone else was doing, they had no idea. They were just on the ground, reaching desperately for magic to heighten their senses, to hopefully call them back, when the effect suddenly ended, leaving them frozen and shocked on the ground.
ROLL 2
Deli attempts to Cast Spell — High Senses( no no give them back )
Failure!
Assume that all Deli threads will be tentatively marked M because of their bad language

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
Reign's magic did not create a thunderclap, no; instead it zapped a heavy charge through the air, imparting him with a powerful surge of electricity that would undoubtedly badly shock the next Gembound to touch him.
Even as Orthoclase-Alpha tore into the Silk Spider, the magic flared wild. Imp laughter and tinkling bells could be heard throughout the thick foliage, reaching a crescendo.
Hecate's magic did nothing: she felt a tingle, a strength, as if some form of magic was protecting her health. And Oka-...
Thankfully, instinct would open Oka's mouth, but it would still burn. "It" being a surge of superheated bile that spewed forth onto the very grass they were attempting to grow, melting it in a smoldering ruin.
Oops.
The Silk Spider's last throes had it smashing fangs into Alpha's carapace even as it died. Then there was little left of it--and the silence, bar laughing imps, and jingling bells, and the helpless, sad buzzing of the Rainbow Bumblebug still trapped in the nasty web.
