QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
Gracie gave a light hearted laugh at the dragon's change in attitude. Did her magic lighten his mood, or what? Her purple eyes centered on the little sprout she brought to life, and with all her might focused her green energy on it. But the strength of her magic did nothing but cause a searing jolt of pain pass through her chest, so painful that it sent the panda back a couple feet with a cringe. After a second of recomposing herself, she smiled weakly at her savior. She wasn't sure what she was trying to do to the sprout, but it obviously did not work. "It's magic!" her voice cracked slightly. The girl moved forward a bit to see if she did anything at all to the plant, but no. Nothing had changed and it was very disappointing she had hurt herself over nothing.
"Like yours! But not... cold," she chuckled, unsure how she was going to end that statement. Their magic was different and Gracie didn't know the full extent of his abilities.

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
Ghanyarah was almost entirely consumed in the plant, examining it and tilting his head, trying to find out what had caused it to sprout the way that it did. He even shoved his nose at it and flicked his tongue and looked at it from all angles. It definitely must have been her magic, but Ghanyarah didn't know how she did it. What technique she used. Was it something he could do? The komodo waited and looked back up at her. Sure enough she tried to demonstrate her magic again, but it must have backfired - he could feel the buzzing of the air before she leaped back and winced. Her unexpected movement caused Ghanyarah to jump back too, elevating himself above the ground with alarm.
While she recovered, he cocked his head and wiggled his tail. "You ok?" He asked, blinking. Was it the magic that backfired, or did the plant do that to her? Her voice cracked and the komodo dragon snickered, then focused on the plant again. "My magic isn't all cold. Let me try." Ghanyarah huffed and scampered closer to the plant again. There, he focused on it, trying to move or influence the plant any way he could.
It was inevitable. Maybe he was focusing too hard, or maybe the plant just didn't like him. He could feel energy synthesizing in the morganite points sprouting from his skull. He stared, and willed the plant to move. Except he hadn't realized it was the air in the atmosphere that began to move - it accumulated around him, unbeknownst to the dragon while he concentrated, until suddenly it all seeped in through his scales and oversaturated the viscera beneath his hide. It was a sharp pain throughout his entirety, and Ghanyarah squeaked, jumping away. "YIKES! It bit me!" He scowled, throwing himself into the mud in a frantic attempt to stop the pain. "Ow ow ow ow!" He whined as he rolled through the mud, thrashing his tail. If Aquarian was melodramatic, then Ghanyarah obviously took after him.

Ghanyarah attempts to Cast Spell — Airdrink( Move the water in the plant? )
His wiggling tail had her stuck in a trance for a moment before his words broke her conscious, squeezing her eyes shut then opening them again and shaking her head a small smile crossed her maw. "I'll be okay, magic isn't easy to control..." she muttered, drearily. The panda wished she had more control over her skills, and despite all the practice she had been putting into her plant magic it wasn't always a success. In fact, more often than not it seemed to fail and backfire on her. Gracie wouldn't give up until she could make trees, that was the ultimate goal of her lifetime.
Watching him curiously, the lizard moved forward in an amusing sway of his body to loom over her precious little sprout. She moved forward too, not too close, she wasn't sure what he was trying to do. But at the same time she didn't want to miss what was happening! She leaned in an inch closer, holding her breath to not breath air on the concentrating gembound. There was a surge of energy that welled around the two, and then it all seemed to go wrong.
The komodo dragon's reaction was so unexpected that Gracie yelped herself and spun backwards to take cover behind a wilting pine. He dove into a mud pile and sprawled around, stirring it everywhere. She frowned at the sight when she peaked around the tree to see what was going on. He had yelled something about biting and it had her hundreds of times more confused than she had ever been. Did he mean her sprout had bit him? Tightening her face into an almost humorous display of a stern parent, Gracie marched towards the innocent looking sprout.
Lifting her paw up and slapping it down with a squelch, she smashed the life down into the mud. "Bad sprout, BAD! No biting!" she disciplined, looking towards the thrashing lizard with concern.
While Ghanyarah rolled around in the mud, he tried to focus on the feeling of th squelchy, moist mud against his hide rather than the pain just under his skin. Eventually the cool sensation of the mud had overwhelmed the ache and left him with a soothing chill. Ghanyarah rolled back onto his feet just in time to see the panda squish the plant and shout at it for biting him. "Yeah, tell'em girl!" He hissed and squished his feet in the mud too, lashing his tail. Now that the plant was sufficiently scolded (and crushed likely beyond repair) he snorted and scampered back over to the panda. "I guess that makes us even." He added with a tilt of his head. He had saved her from the log and she wrought vengeance upon the plant that bit him, so she was no longer indebted to him.
Thinking it though, Ghanyarah wondered if it would've been better for him to not mention it at all. A good lot of things could come from a debt... But he shook it away. "I'm Ghanyarah." The komodo mentioned and straightened up with pride. "Who're you?" No matter what debts existed, he decided that he liked this little panda. She was fun. Maybe he'd show her where he lived, his tree with all the scribbles, and she could come visit him! Since she lived in a different place, after all...

MAGICKA LEVEL 100% RESTORED TO 100%
Gracie continued watching her lizard friend roll around in the mud, gross squishing noises ensuing his motions. It seemed his pain was eased by the power of the earth, and the panda kept that in mind for the next time she was injured. It was always worth a shot, despite the filth that would result from flailing about in the mud. The rain of Cetus misted down from the sky, a ceiling had to be up there somewhere but it was hidden by clouds of fog and the canopy of lush pines. When the water hit the dragon's hide the mud washed down in little streams, leaving spots of clean, glistening scales. She felt a little jealous of his fortune, the sky water only made her fur worse. The mud infiltrated her fur barrier and it's gritty substance was making her skin itch now.
The sprout she had stomped was disappearing into a paw print puddle, Gracie felt a little guilty having disciplined her plant child into wet oblivion. But his hissing cheer was reassuring she had done the right thing. A wide grin passed her maw and a light-hearted giggle followed. She took his name and burned it into memory, Ghanyara. A strange but suiting name. "My name's Gracie!" she chirped, tail stub waggling in delight.
Gracie, his new friend, then! He'd have to draw her on his tree so that he wouldn't forget her. "I live in this tree, it's my tree, see, I draw on it." The komodo dragon began to explain, cocking his head down as he tried to forge an example of sorts in the mud. He stuck out a clawed finger and began to track it through the mud, leaving deep lines in the moist substrate. It didn't last for long though, as the rain seeped into the dirt and the sloshing mud collapsed in on the tiny gorges in its surface, melting away the image that he drew. "You should come see it, and then you'll know where to find me when you come and visit me next." He looked back up at her, assuming that she would come visit him. Since she didn't live here in Cetus, after all.
The komodo dragon turned away, pointing his body in the direction of the route he'd been walking before and looking back at her. He waited for her decision, hoping that she'd agree to follow him. He didn't want to lose his new friend, after all.
Shaking herself free of some of the water clinging to her black and white fur, Gracie giggled as some of the droplets sprayed her newest lizard friend. Ghanyarah started to trace something in the mud and she leaned in curiously to see what was going on. As his nails dug into the sloshy ground the trails converged almost as quick as they were made. She blinked her wide eyes at his disappearing masterpiece as he went on to mention a tree with drawings. Gracie had never seen anyone's drawings before! She all but wiggled in excitement.
Nodding with enthusiasm, the panda girl rose quickly to her unsteady feet and danced in place for a moment splashing around in the puddles before realizing the mess she was making and stopped. "Yes!" she sang, eagerly tripping over herself to follow the dragon friend out and into a path where he was patiently waiting for her to follow along. "I wanna see!"
