Simon would have a BALL with Charles 110%. You have the quiet kid and the theatre kid, and those always get together in the movies, right? I can imagine that whenever the other's got tired of hearing him ramble they'll be like "hey why don't you go talk to Simon?" It'll mainly just be a lot of one-sided conversations though, charles rambling on and on and simon faintly nodding and saying "uh-huh" every once in a while. The perfect friendship!

Simon --> Morganite: It's mom friend! Simon loves Morg just as much as they love him. He'd definitely curl around them whenever he got the chance and sees him as one of the few others that appreciates the niceness of silence (he doesn't know about their secret gossip life haha). If Morgies got down or upset about something, Simon would probably be the one to try and cheer them up.

We got the OK that they could only make an official group after the trial's over, but they can still unofficially call themselves something during the whole thing. Maybe, during one of the few peaceful moments of the trial (perhaps near the end to reduce the chances of them all dying horribly right after) they could have a nice, wholesome conversation where they decide they're going to carve themselves a little home out in the new wide world? They may try to "segregate" themselves away from the other gembounds, or mingle with them in excitement and try to learn about them and their world. Maybe they'd even try to recruit lone gembound into their impromptu clan? I feel like it kinda depends on the group's overall personality, but since it currently seems to be leaning towards "wholesome loving family" I think they'll be real friendly to outsiders

I know I'm late lmao but Oren wants to belong to the family as well! He's literally just there to give everyone hugs, listen to people's troubles and, mind the pun, monkey around to make people laugh. Like he would probably often try stand on one hand and do a hand stand and then purposefully fall on his head and go into a front roll because why not!

Oren's could be like the little team bard! Lightening things up when the trials get tough and always cracking a joke~

Simon --> Pumpkin: Small friend! Simon would probably let little pump sit on his head and go around like a little train. They're the only gembound in the group smaller than him, so I'd imagine he'd always be looking out for him and trying to make sure he's safe. If something (or someone) tried to hurt them, he'd be the first one to respond.

Simon --> Orenstein: Simon sees Orenstein as another member of he family and a friend, but unfortunately not much more. They don't have any bad blood (at least, I don't think they do) but there simply isn't much in common between the quiet guy and the jokester. However, if he got too stressed he'd definitely be the one to go over and listen to a couple puns to calm down.

Oh, and I mentioned this in the group chat but I'll put it here for future reference + those not on discord: There's two more potential names for the group in alternative to Dies Unus: Flowerkin and Gladiola. Flowerkin's just a pretty general name and emphasises their peacefulness and familial bond. Gladiola is a version of Gladiolus, a flower which symbolizes remembrance, strength, perseverance, and love. It also sounds similar to "gladiator", which was an ancient class of Roman slave forced to fight in arenas for rich roman's pleasure. The trial kids are quite a bit like ancient gladiators, with the trial of hydra and whatnot, so it'd be a pretty interesting reference :0
