Arctic Wolf

Comet wandered around the dense undergrowth. She was bored, incredibly bored. There wasn't much to do, she had already finished her meal, and she couldn't find any animals nearby to play with. She found a nice clearing and laid down to sleep in, when she heard a rustle in the bushes. Rabbit, her nose told her. Her right ear was quite useless at detecting these kinds of things. Or anything, really.
She crouched down, and sprung at the general location. Hopefully the rabbit was too focused to notice her. Comet missed. Guess I'm too tired to catch anything. She laid down and slept.

Life was strange.

Silver's head was filled with strangeness as he stumbled about the moss and evergreen ferns above, small paws making little in the way of dents against the forest-like ground. His sister had promised him a return of her presence in the coming moments, but he had strayed far from their meeting spot... curiosity had overtaken the creatures young mind in the form of a golden butterfly. Soon that bushy hide of his would find itself in a place quite unknown, a place where light came quietly from spaces above that he could not quite distinguish...

And then... Comet. He was but a small fox, prey for something her size, and instinctively the bratty male puffed himself up in fright with his teeth glinting menacingly-- though the wolf had been there first, he would not let her gain any kind of upper hand, especially when the scent of rabbit clung to the dirt...!

It was hunting-- but you won't eat me!!

"Move." The child's voice came in a snap, lips peeled in a snarl, hoping he was loud enough for her to hear. "Get out of my way."

Comet looked up at the silver colored fox. He seemed as young as she was, although she was bigger than him by a bit. The white wolf pup got up on her paws. And now he was telling her to get out of his way. Couldn't he just go around? Nope, he had the nerve to bother her when she was just enjoying her rabbit. Usually, she would be nicer, but it was animals like him that really bothered her. So arrogant and acting like they are higher than everyone else. I was here first. And if you think that you can tell me what to do, think again. she puffed up her fur, and showed her teeth.

A challenge? Alright then, this would be his first feat of strength in this world, his paw mark upon the existence he had been gifted; his sister would be proud if he won, after all... with a smirk replacing the snarl upon his face, the little fox got his head low and began to wag his tail aggressively--

"You don't scare me..." Came the squeaky growling, "If you walk away now I promise I won't mess you up!!"

Comet snarled wider, this fox seemed like he was trying to pick a fight. Normally, she would not get into fights, or even say a mean word, but this fox just-- angered her. Well you don't scare me either. The element of surprise was a valuable thing to have. Without warning, she sprung at him.
She miscalculated the jump, and went right over and fell into a bush. Comet sprang back on her feet, ready for his rebuttal.

Silver ducked as the wolf sprang over him, body falling flat against the floor as he whirled around to meet his opponent with a cocky grin on his face; just like a thick headed creature to miss him entirely!! By the time she had sprung around he was surging forth with his fangs open-- and with terrifying speed his jaw met her neck in a burst of energy!! Thankfully her fur was so thick he did little more than prick her skin, but with the tenacity of a larger predator the baby attempted to tear at whatever he could!!

Comet felt the sharp fangs bite into her neck, luckily she had especially thick fur in that area. She only felt a pinprick of pain, there was a speck of blood that stood out of her snow white fur. A large chunk of her fur got pulled out of her neck and fell out of the ground.
There was no going back now, the fox would pay. She aimed for his leg, hoping that in doing so it would stop his quick movements. Comet felt her jaws close on his hind leg and she bit down as hard as she could.

The beginning tastes of blood pleased him, but the rebuttal in the form of his leg getting snapped at caused the little creature to screech in pain as flecks of saliva burst from his mouth, accompanied by words;

"You're gonna' die for that!!"

His fangs just about caught the very end of her ear where he began to tug violently as he thrashed around!!

The fox screeched a loud, piercing sound that hurt Comet's ear. She hadn't known she had done that much damage. The silver fox made a death threat at her, although she highly doubted he would be able to kill her. Even though he looked very close to her age, wolves were much bigger than foxes. The fox darted again and Comet felt the sharp pain in her ear. You'll pay for that! She gathered up her strength to attempt and jump on top of the fox.
Unfortunately, she overshot and jumped right over him into a bush.

He was ever so good at being theatrical, and despite the wound on his leg being baby he himself was baby and it made him rattle with rage. The moment he was torn from her ear he gave a roll on the ground, got down low, and waited to outwit her at the pounce-- but she went right over him!! Feeling his confidence renew he used his speed to his advantage, bursting beneath the bush with a bite aimed at her exposed flank-- except he hadn't counted on the bush being that thick. Snapping his teeth down automatically against a low, sprawling branch, Silver gave a snarl of annoyance at himself for missing!!
