Itri's scratch did barely anything, but it was too late to run now, and he was picked up high into the air. The talons crushed him within his hard shell, leaving him almost breathless. His head was whipped about in all directions, and his lungs burned for air. He was going to die. And suddenly, he was falling. Itri's legs waved wildly in the air, as he tried to land on his shell. That might break it, but at least he won't take as much damage.

The mammal, by some miracle, managed to twist himself in the air, so that he'd land on his back. Scales splintered and crack!ed beneath the pressure of Itri landing on them. A part of his spine jarred painfully at the impact. The pangolin would be in pain, but at least he was alive and still somewhat mobile.

His assailant circled overhead still, eyes fixed on its meal and awaiting the perfect moment to strike again.

Itri is safe for now, but he is quite injured. He must flee to shelter before exiting, or risk another Eyehook attack.

@Itri

Itri felt a splintering of his scales, and a sudden jolt hurt his spine. If he could scream, he would, but he couldn't. So he just laid there, silently, feeling the pain continue throbbing through his body. His eyes caught the shadow of the eyehook circling overhead, and he knew he needed to hide. Finding a spot, he hobbled at full speed towards it.

A crack spanning about three feet long and less than a foot wide lay before the pangolin—it was just large enough to fit him. Upon crawling in, he'd find that it was about five feet deep, with a gentle slope down. The stone'd been worn down by cycles and cycles of wind. Despite being at the top of the mesa, it was fairly cool inside.

It was a good place to rest.

Itri is safe for now, but is still quite injured. He may now exit to sleep, or wait for the Eyehook to leave and explore for two hours before requesting another GM post.

@Itri

Itri dived into the crack, which was a surprisingly perfect size for him. The eyehook continued circling above, but he was safe now, and it couldn't wait for him forever. The adrenaline starting to leave him, his wounds started to hurt more than ever. He fell into an uneasy sleep.
